You are now free to post your fics and art wherever you wish. As usual, to those of you whose fics/artwork I'm currently hosting off the community, please upload the stuff to your own websites or archives when you can and post a comment here with the URL where the work can be found. I'd like to edit the old posts with the new URLs to save bandwidth, and I'm also uncomfortable hosting work that isn't credited to the proper authors/artists and has no proper headers now that the fest is over. Artists, if you haven't already done so, you might also want to add your name or whatever identifying mark you use on your art now as well, to reduce the chances of it being used without your permission. Writers of shorter fics, I will also be happy to edit the comm posts for your fics if you provide me with another URL as well; that way, future feedback will go directly to you rather than sit here on the comm where you may not see it.

It would be most helpful if you provided the URL to the original comm post in your comment to save me the trouble of having to dig through the comm to find it.

We are all finished here, folks. The last of the fics and art have been posted, and now all that remains is the Big Reveal. In the meantime, I hope you will take some time to catch up on on your reading and leave some feedback. Remember, you don't have to have an IJ account to leave a comment, anonymous comments are enabled and are more than welcome. Feedback levels have really been down this year, and it's such a shame because everyone worked so hard. Please go back and leave a note to let the writers and artists know you enjoyed their work.

I'll be revealing the Secret Santas and posting the master list on January 4.

I'll be posting the first gift at midnight, and then another approximately every eight hours throughout the month of December. The schedule might vary from day to day depending on how many gifts we end up with, but there is lots of good smut coming your way.

A reminder that all fics and artwork will be posted on the IJ comm this year. Other than admin notices, nothing else will be posted to the LJ comm. However, there are a few RSS feeds available if you want to watch the comm from your LJ friends page.

I've set the syndication level for the IJ comm to "summary," which should mean only the first paragraph or so of each post will show up on the RSS feed, so hopefully you won't have to worry about non-worksafe material showing up uncut on your LJ f-lists.

And finally, please leave lots of feedback this year. If you see something you really enjoy, please consider dropping the author or artist a comment to let them know. Everyone has worked very hard on their submissions this year, and feedback is the only payment they get.

The assignments are done. I had hoped to send them out yesterday, but apparently there is another bug on IJ at the moment that is making it impossible for me to access two of the pages on the sign-up post because a few participants posted using OpenID. I need the links to the requests in order to send out the assignments, and those of you assigned to write/draw for people on those pages will be unable to access your assignments, as well. So. The timing on when the assignments go out depends on when the bug is fixed. It's been three days already, and I'd hoped it would be fixed already, but no such luck. I posted another comment to squeaky this morning asking when it will be fixed, but haven't heard from him yet. Keep your fingers crossed that it's fixed soon.

Welcome to Smutmas 2007! :-)

It appears we will have some spots available for the lottery. Please note that I am still not sure how many, and won't know for sure until the sign-up post has been closed. Currently, I have spaces reserved for 57 people (out of 100 available spots), with another few days left for past participants to make up their minds. If you qualify under the guidelines in this post and want to reserve a spot, please comment so I have some idea how many spots will remain for the lottery. This is for estimation purposes only. If you qualify for a reserved spot, you will still get one even if you don't mention it until the offiicial sign-up post goes up.
