Merry Smutmas, [info]themostepotente!

To: [info]themostepotente
From: [info]chazpure

Title: On a Sure Foundation
Rating: NC17
Pairings: Godric Gryffindor/Salazar Slytherin, Albus Severus Potter/Scorpius Malfoy, Harry Potter/Severus Snape
Warnings: DH canon compliance...to a point, hurt/comfort, frottage, wanking, bloodplay (of sorts), sex magic, orgasm denial, cock ring, rimming, object insertion, semi-public sex, mild bondage, spanking, and unauthorized shenanigans in the Library.
Summary: In Albus Severus Potter's Seventh Year at Hogwarts, he discovered something magical, something scary and exhilarating, something he isn't sure he can tell anyone else about-- oh, and that odd manuscript of Salazar Slytherin's was kind of neat, too...
Notes: This Merry Smutmas gift is for [info]themostepotente. I managed to work a few of your listed kinks in here, my dear, but I do believe there is at least a shred of two of plot, and I hope it pleases. Also, my apologies for Harry's rather colourful imagination. I think the poor boy watched too much telly after Hogwarts! (I'm not sure what Severus's excuse is, but he's had a hard life, so go easy on him, please.) A very, very Merry Smutmas to you!

Well, this certainly ups the post-DH Snarry library! Wow, what an amazing story, characterization, dialogue, historical novel, and romance cubed! And the level of kink just warms my pervy little heart. *hugs* Wins all around. Thanks, Mystery Author!

Wow, aren't you creative? I loved the Founders lore, and how Severus was brought back in what is perhaps the creative way I've seen yet. This is my first time reading AS/S, and so I think you for making it an enjoyable one.

The ending made me so very happy. I only like fluff when it's Snarry (a few exceptions), and it made me very giddy indeed.

Fabulous job on great writing and creativity. A++++

This was a really compelling story! I read it all day today, and while it contains lots of things I don't usually like, I was glued to the screen until I finished it. The details are in the rec to follow, but I thought I'd mention what bothered me:

Scorpius sighed. "How many times am I going to have to tell you that I do not find it 'creepy' or 'evil' or even 'weird' that you're a Parselmouth? Your father's one, you know. It's not unheard of for it to run in families." -- there's nothing in the books to say that the Parseltongue ability is hereditary. We know that Harry got it from Voldemort because a bit of V's soul was lodged in him, in the Horcrux in his scar. So it's likely that the ability is lost with the removal of the Horcrux. I thought that this moment could have been clarified in the story.

And the second one, concerning the House Stone: would Snape have been wearing it if he was Headmaster, not a Head of house, when he died? Because I seem to remember that Horace Slughorn was the head then. At least it's implied when Minerva speaks to him before the Battle of Hogwarts. If you meant that Snape didn't pass the stone to Slughorn, it could have been mentioned in the story.

But even if they were honest canon errors, I'm not bothered. Because what does it matter when the story kept me reading like an addict?

I loved your portrayal of Godric and Salazar. I loved how you wrote that era at all. I don't usually like Founderfics 'cos they are never written they way I want them :) But your story is exactly what I like: you tell the story of their relationship with lots of fascinating historical and magical details, and I loved it.

Scorpius and Albus were really moving. I was worried they would get locked in the depths of the castle! And Snape/Harry plot was really creative. Well, I'm shutting up :) Thank you very much!

This was amazing; I particularly liked Salazar and Godric's history; I felt the story could have gone on as I wanted to see the reactions to Severus's return and how he and Harry got together as well as the recognition for the boys' discovery but I'm sure that's just me being greedy and not wanting the story to end;) Thanks for sharing!

Oh how I loved this! I can't say I've read much GG/SS but I really liked it and I actually cried at the end of their part of the tale. I love that somehow Severus and Harry were both sustaining the other over all the years-a very clever idea about the lockets and the chamber. And everyone's favorite ship, AS/S was sweet and clever! The whole thing was just great. Well done indeed.

Wow. Okay...

First off, I cannot tell you how fucking HAPPY I am that you wrote me Godric/Salazar. Being a long time fan of this pairing, I can honestly say that we S/G shippers are few and far between. Not many people write this pairing, let alone with any sense of style or accuracy. Given that I'm tough as nails to impress, let me just say that I was blown away by your Founders storytelling. The tenderness between Salazar and Godric. The building of Hogwarts. The sex magic that bound them together as well as to the castle. Oh, I just hated to see their story end. It left me wanting for more. I also adored your subtle mention of the egg and how Salazar's intentions were to protect the castle and its students, not harm them. Oh, my poor, misunderstood Salazar. Really lovely effects. Thank you so much for that. I literally wept with joy.

And if that wasn't grand enough, you took two of my other favorite pairings and weaved them all together so seamlessly. The Albus Severus/Scorpius was just so sweet. Their friendship. The project together. Their coupling in the library. *sighs*

And then there was the Snarry. Lovely romantic Snarry. What an incredible journey seeing it all come together. And how can I forget all of the incredible sex? *G*

Thank you so very much for making my last Smutmas the most memorable. Bless you, my dear sweet mystery writer. I can't wait to find out who you are!

♥♥♥♥

Brilliant. The flesh you painted on these canon characters is so seamlessly grafted I felt they walked my world. This is a rare and wondrous tale and I can't thank you enough for sharing.

Wow! I loved how you tied the three couples together. (Clever way to avoid exposition.)

I enjoyed the characterizations, and the slow unwinding of the plot. Well done!

I'm not a fan of any of the pairings, but this story sucked me in, held on, and wouldn't let go. I loved the intricacy of the plot, the way all three pairings were woven in, and bringing Snape back the way you did was sheer genius. And the smut was delicious, in all its forms! Thank you so much for a fabulous read. This one's definitely a keeper.

I have already added this to my memories. ;D

Truly amazing and wonderful, I adore how you wrote all three pairings, and each so perfect in speech and ambiance.

Some notes I made while reading:

Dude, Al and Sc are SO AWESOME AND MADE OF WIN HERE.

*sniff* Salazar’s deathbed = tears. ;p

I could go on, but I see many reviewers have already said the things I'd say. I especially loved all the new old magic and ritual--I do enjoy Godric/Salazar, and you made me care for them SO much in this fic. The making of the House Stones was absolutely inspired, and such a brilliant device to bring Severus back to life! (and younger than Harry, rowr!) I love that all the pairings are built on friendship and love!

Gorgeous fic, truly an instant classic, and if I don't already know you, you have another new reader. Though, judging by the epicness of this fic, you've already written many awesome ones!
♥!

Love the progression of the story with interspersing POVs. I love the depth of the emotions in each couple, along with some pretty hot sex scenes. Awesome use of language throughout, the different time periods and generations. Characterizations were wonderful, especially Scorpius, like his father but definitely his own person. Al's slytherinesque personality. And a grown up Harry who is still so Harry. And Snape's intriguing/mysterious 'dreams', along with Harry's interaction with the picture of Snape. It was nice to see into Salazar's reasoning on only accepting purebloods and Godric's response. Love the scene where Harry finds Snape and the wonderfulness that followed. A truly marvelous story you have here!

A marvelous story. I was absolutely bawling at this point, "Godric," he asked, very softly, "you will not...forget me?"

"Could I forget my own heart?" Godric bent and kissed his brow. "No, I will not forget. And your name will be part of Hogwarts forever, remembered always by all who pass through this school. Slytherin House shall be honoured to bear your name, and all its children will wear your device with great pride."

One of the best stories I've ever read.

Loved this. I thought that the execution of the three plots in parallel was very well done, at no point in the story was I confused over which plot I was reading. All three couples had a deep friendship and understanding that was illustrated without being repeated. This story just celebrates "Merry Smutmas". Thank you.

That was a wonderful read! I loved the three-way storyline, and the way the tales intersect to make a nicely plotted whole. I was totally in love with Al and Scorpius (Ravenclaw!Scorpius - wow!), and Salazar and Godric were brilliant too. Much more subtley handled than in a lot of stories, with both having fully rounded personalities, and Salazar's death scene made me sniffle. The sex was scorchingly hot, too (especially the pestle-scene, that sent shivers down my back - brilliant! I had lots of fun reading this at a leisurely pace over Christmas. Excellent job, mystery writer!

I thought I had posted a comment about this WONDERFUL fic.

...But I guess I didn't. *slaps forehead*

Anyway! I loved this. Great concepts, and I must say that even though my love for HP/SS has waned over the years, this fic might have just refuelled my love for it. :3
