So wonderfully plotty! And Harry as James Bond!

This was so beautifully written that I fell in love with it from the start. I loved all the little details about Durmstrang.

And Draco! So obsessed with Harry. (Fair play after Harry's sixth year.) He thought the only way to get Harry (and get revenge) was to dose him, but then discovered that he'd lost the truth of interacting with Harry.

How Harry managed to get the Ministry not to cart Draco off I don't know, but I'm glad.

Obsessive, jealous Draco! Perfect.

Also, I was greatly amused by the allusion to JKR's epilogue.

Thank you so much! :D I'm so delighted that you enjoyed reading this. ♥

As for the Ministry not carting Draco off, I think there would have been an inquiry but since Draco managed to reverse the effects of Erotaserum, they couldn't hold him. No evidence, no crime. >.>

this just completely absolutely blew me away. i can't remember if i've ever read sex as hot as that. it's - i'm - i mean there were so many awesome things in the story and such an intricate plotline and i admire your characterizations - but really, that second to last scene, there's nothing like it. guh.

Wow! Mind-blowingly brilliant. This fic was practically perfect in every way. I just recced this in my lj and said that fics like this make you fall in love with H/D all over again. Such an easy, fluid, to-the-point narrative that glued me to my seat and didn't let go before the story was finished.

Loved the little details of the Magical world and Durmstrang. Harry and Draco were very sexy together from the start and the dialogue was to die for: witty, flirtatious, charming. I would have gladly accepted Harry being genuinely in love from the start; making it Draco's evil ploy that backfired big time was even better. Perfect ending. With a few lines you made me even like Ginny.

"[...]I'd sleep better if I knew what they're teaching those children."
"Wouldn't it be easier to have Hermione write to Viktor Krum?"

Ahaha!

The silence inside was penetrated only by the sound of a voice that made Harry's insides twist up in elaborate knots of rare pleasure. The voice was slow, drawling, sensual -- a voice to whisper dirty secrets, to give moans meaning. He didn't know what the words meant. He did know he wanted the voice's owner, no matter what he looked like. Eyes could be closed, but that voice...
Mmmmm. :P

"Grindelwald? Did you defeat him too whilst no one was looking?"
:D

He had no time for feelings. They mucked everything up and turned him into a complete plonker who walked around thinking about monsters in his chest.
:D :D :D The return of the chest monster.

Thank you so much for this. I'm still floating.

(I have a hunch of who you might be, mystery author, but it's only a hunch. Can't wait for the reveals.)

Fabulous! So many good things. First: Durmstrang! Durmstrang is always good. I love how you created an atmosphere and philosophy for the school, and yay for giving us a bit of Russia. And Zabini, he was perfect. Always stealing my things! That's a catty line that always gets me no matter who says it. Harry was as confident as I like him, and then confused but then rolling his eyes, like he's so over this. Heh, that was a really good choice to use humour to deal with the ethical mess that was Draco. Preserves the ambiguity. But the descriptions of his anger worked like a charm on me -- felt so real, the single-mindedness and he's so sexy when there's no undercurrent of whininess.

And I loved Draco, I loved that he fell in love with Harry after Harry saved him and I loved that as per usual he doesn't want world domination, he just wants some profit, is that so bad? And I thought both his hatred and love for Harry were true. I love him duplicitous but most of all I loved him when his face sort of fell and he said all petulantly "well I didn't have any plan" and Harry thought was adorable. Such a fun yet poignant way to signal that the characters aren't stock characters and they're human in all their (fun and poignant!) smallness.

Last thoughts: I really loved your imagery, in particularly I could see the house around them when they finally fucked, and I enjoyed their sexual dynamic, from the beginning: Draco likes being kissed. Not kissing, being kissed.

Thank you very much for reading, and for your thoughtful feedback! I'm really happy that you liked this story, particularly the Durmstrang and other setting details -- these things are always the hardest to write for me and so I really just start making :D faces a lot when people enjoy them. :>

wow! that was incredibly good.
i think the setting was what drew me in to start with. you set the scene really well. it felt dark and mysterious and grabbed my interest right away.
i loved the twists and mindfucks.
i love at the end how it's clear that draco has to be at least somewhat mentally unstable and clearly he's unhealthily obsessed, but beautiful at the same time and harry understands all this and wants him just the same.
all in all, this was just a wonderful read. excellent work!
;)

How many wonderful fics I read this year. But this... this is in my mind and won't ever leave me, I swear. It was wonderfully written and heart-breaking at some point and then you managed to insert that ending... My favourite points in the plot were Draco's obsession and the fact that he did tell Harry about the love potion.

I'm quite sure everybody has already mentioned the details I loved in this fic, so I won't repeat them because you must be pretty aware of them by now.

On the other hand I will ask you for your permission to translate this fic into Spanish (my first language). Please, please, Secret Santa, say yes, I know you are good and kind :). I will give you all the credit (obviously) and if you want I will show you not only the place where the fic would be published but also the comments you receive (because it would be you more than me :P) Let me know if you accept, please. Either here or to regan.slash[at]gmail.com Feel free to take your time. You can tell me now or in three months. Believe me, I'll be always interested.

Happy New Year Secret Santa :)

Holy heck! That was so, so gorgeous! Such a wonderful, charming love plot, that suddenly turns into a tale of manipulation and betrayal in mid-fic, and then the wonderful, forgiving resolution.

I loved Draco, both manipulator and victim of his own desires, and adored Harry too much for words! He was so swept away under the potion, so angry and desperate after, and I loved how he came out of it in the end - understanding Draco's motives, able to forgive because the potion made him do what, given time, he'd have felt anyhow, and refusing to let go in anger. Wow. Absolutely gorgeous, with a brilliant title. The title line, in the fic, was beautiful and fitting.

And I also enjoyed your vision of Durmstrang immensely, and their nuanced and un-stereotyped approach to the Dark Arts. On second thought, it wasn't just Draco who'd been acting in bad faith there - Harry's own 'mission' meant a betrayal of trust, so there *was* an element of turnabout in the Erotaserum...

It was the sort of long fic I tend to put to the end of my reading list just for time reasons, and then end up kicking myself for not reading earlier because it's so good. And this is certainly among the best of this year's fest! Thanks for writing such a gem!
