Well, I had to know, because I love so much about this fic but that line, whoo. That line's one of the funniest jokes I've heard, ever.
Not only am I blown away by the dialogue and the snark and the funny and the hot, I'm still giggling over how you pulled all ends of the story together. The development of Harry joining the circus was so much fun (Parseltongue!), but as we moved further in the alternate universe Harry had found, I found myself wondering why it had been necessary to spin that portion of the tale if it was only going to be abandoned later in the story. And then you suddenly purse-stringed everything, revealing the Harry of this world who'd been languishing, and the necessity of sending him back to that world, and if that world hadn't been so well-fleshed I could never have felt the rightness of it. YES.
I loved the "death list" Harry runs when he realizes his world is different; it seemed exactly the way someone would react, trying to come to the point. Regulus was a hoot. Crane was such a great transition from Snape--he felt like someone Snape-ish but who could be just that grudgingly forgiving, to have that deeply buried kind spark so that he could indeed love Harry. And have hot sex with him. :D And Mr. Fuzzems! And "can suck the yellow off a canary"! (Is that one original?!) And how much did I get off on "Bounce, you troublesome little tart" and "harder, you little shit"??
Just wonderful, all of it. Gave me serious squees!
