Oh! They're so perfect together, and your language is gorgeous, all poetry and fucking and tragedy. And Bess, poor Bess! &hearts&hearts&hearts

Here on [info]bethbethbeth's rec ... I wouldn't normally have read this pairing, but I quite liked this. It fits well with what we know from canon, and I like the little details like the absinthe instead of firewhiskey.

I'm so glad I didn't pass this story by because of its unusual pairing. This is absolutely gorgeous, and astonishing, and heartbreakingly believable, and I'm in awe of you, Secret Santa Author.

Oh, wow. The language is wonderful, the structure, the characterisations... and a pairing I've not read before, which is always exciting. Nothing out of place ♥

I was almost, almost put off by the pairing, and now I'm glad I wasn't. This was really fantastic, one of those that makes you reconsider what you thought you knew about the characters.

Ahhhhhh.

I have theories about who you might be, mystery Santa--only a few authors I know who have gone places like this and been this successful. We'll see if I'm right. ^_^

I'm going to forfeit and assume you guessed correctly. I'm terrible at being anonymous. "Gee, I wonder who wrote about Snape having it off with Albus Dumbledore's goat-fiddling brother?" :-D

I guessed but it was not so much because your style is obvious--it's that you're so damned good with going into obscure places like this and you're just such a damned good author full stop--so how could I not think of you, with a story this awesome? :D

*blushes* I definitely take that as a wonderful compliment. I just meant that I love the anonymous angle of exchanges, but I never seem to fool a soul who knows me. :-D
