Just after noon today, the Ministry of Magic building in East Berlin, Germany fell under attack by an army of Death Eaters. What seemed to be an organized attack was led by Unspeakable Gemma Black who was found at the scene. When questioned as to her involvement in the attack, Mrs. Black simply replied that she had been following orders and knew nothing else. The final numbers of fatalities has not been discovered yet but Mrs. Black is being charged with the deaths of five members of the Ministry of Magic after she confessed. It is unknown when her trial will begin, but it will be held in England after she is transported from Berlin.

The Auror in charge of the arrest, Bob Akon stated, "It was a gnarly scene there. The building basically collapsed as soon as we arrived. Anyone that survived the attack, we believe, was crushed in that instant. We arrested the Black woman easily and she soon confessed." Though when pressed about just what Mrs. Black said, Akon wasn't so sure, "She seemed really confused. Though we don't know if that was the drugs in her system or something else. When we know more, we will inform the bloody press."

Due to the circumstances, the Ministry of Magic buildings across the PEM will be closed until further notice. Because it was an attack by an employee, all employees are asked to remain home until such time the Ministry can put into place plans in case of another attack. Minister Riddle, currently on holiday in America, has yet to make an official statement concerning the attack but his office has said that they are working on a set of decrees to protect all citizens within the PEM. All questions concerning the Ministry and those employees with questions can owl the Ministry but all correspondence will be limited as they attempt to rebuild after this attack.

MMA Winners to Band Together for a Good Cause

Members of the Weird Sisters, Parasiiti and the Buzz Killingtons will be hosting a St. Patrick's Day party outside of Dublin, Ireland to attempt to raise funds for a new program to teach children the importance of music in their lives. Regulus Black, the events organizer, has said he came up with the idea months ago when he visited an orphanage and witnessed the children having to suffer through music lesions. "They were being forced to listen to Pink Floyd and Elvis. That's not music. Where were the Sex Pistols and the Clash? The punk community needs to band together and make sure that the next generation knows what good music is. Not this other s--t."

Though it is sure to be a party never to forget, the team of musicians would like people to remember that it is all for a good cause. The day long party will begin at ten AM with a performance by Parasiiti and will end with a supposed hour and a half set by the Weird Sisters, though Black states that things could always change. The site picked for this event has been questioned as it seems to be just a bit out of the way. When questioned about his feeling on the location, drummer Xander for the Buzz Killingtons just grunted, "I f--king hate camp sites".

The cover charge is five galleons for lawn tickets and the price continues up for seats, though the group claims that they will keep the liquor prices down quite a bit because it's the only way to get the musicians to show up. The final line up will be announced before the concert and Black promises that it will be "killer".

Suspected Prison Break Causing More Panic Than Necessary

The rumours of a suspected break out from Azkaban this weekend has been denied. The rumour started Friday when the Ministry let slip that a high security prisoner was missing from the last check, but when a team went into Azkaban they found every prisoner in place. The Ministry would like to remind the citizens of the PEM that the chances of a break out from the prison is quite low. Though, due to the rumour, the guards have been doubled and the Ministry would like to state again that all prisoners have been accounted for and everything is running smoothly again.

"There is not nor has there ever been a break out from our high security wing in Azkaban. And the very idea that there was one is ridiculous." Head Guard Banks was over heard saying in the meeting yesterday in London. He had been called in to report to Minister Riddle but found the office empty when he arrived. "Apparently Riddle can't even be bothered to show up to a meeting these days." Banks grumbled as he walked out of the Ministry. We can only hope that statement doesn't cost him his position.

Meat Sales Have Fallen Due to Unknown Circumstances

The latest numbers from the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health have shown that over the last months the amount of meat consumed by citizens of the United Kingdom has fallen over twenty percent. Such a drastic drop in numbers have never been seen before and with this on top of the recall just last week of the Soy Deli brand tofu thanks to a fatal bacteria found within some packages of the brand, researchers wonder just where the UK is getting their protein.

The RSPH is looking into what just has caused the numbers to drop but it is unknown exactly how such a drop could happen. With the meat being produced by English farms being as good as it has ever been, the idea that people are just not buying it confuses even the oldest of farmers. "Seems like veganism is taking over. Should just switch to growing soy beans, shouldn't I?" A rural farmer outside of Cardiff was quoted as saying. He has been living off of his farm for over thirty years and has no idea how to handle the newest health craze. "Don't know why people don't want to eat meat. Never seen a problem with it until now."

The Magical Music Awards are back, and security is tighter than ever at this star-studded musical event. Organizers of the annual awards ceremony, which honours the top witches and wizards in the field of musical achievements, have announced that, despite rumours to the contrary, the MMAs will undoubtedly make a full return this year.

"There have been whispers that because of what happened last year, the MMAs would just be discontinued and no one would ever hear from us again," organizer Zachary Cohen said of the uncertain state of the awards. "You can't get rid of us that easily." Last year's award ceremony ended in tragedy, as the terrorist organisation calling themselves the Ashwinder Coalition attempted to assassinate former Minister of Magic, Nelson Carrows. The attempt backfired, as several explosives located in the Paris Opera House, where the awards were being hosted, were set off as the Weird Sisters stepped up to receive their award for Album of the Year. Dozens were killed, but Minister Carrows escaped with his life.

"What happened last year was a terrible tragedy, and we certainly do not want to make light of that horrific event," continued Cohen. "However, we can't stop our lives because of it. The attack was not about us, it was about politics, and last year's ceremony was simply a platform for the Ashwinder Coalition's attack."

Cohen does note, however, though the ceremony will go ahead as planned, things have certainly changed from last year.

"We are, of course, going to be increasing security tenfold. We don't anticipate another attack from the Ashwinder Coalition, but if anyone tries a repeat, copy cat, any of that, we will have them before they even enter the building," said Cohen. "We are also anticipating a smaller crowd. Ordinarily, all sorts of socialites try to show up -- it's a social event, really, -- but not this year. This year, if you aren't nominated and you aren't a guest of a nominee, you get to sit it out and catch the action from afar like everybody else."

The awards are currently scheduled to be held February 16, 1984, beginning at 6:00 PM, at the Royal Albert Hall in Knightsbridge. Nominees will be listed in the local newspapers.
