Rachel made her way back to her house after the dance, making sure to give the house a good once-over before the guests arrive. She made sure (per Puck's advice) to lock away all the breakables, which she did in the master bedroom. She also kept herself from going through with her plan to have handmade party conversation topics ready for everyone, remembering the advice that people would find something to do. Putting on some music (she refrained from show tunes, as much as it pained her), Rachel quickly moved to the kitchen. Bowls of assorted chips and dips were placed out. Pizza and small snacks were also placed along the counter tops. She made sure to put out plates, cups and napkins (gold star patterned, of course).

Making sure her dress and hair was still perfect, Rachel waited for the others to arrive. The dance had begun well, but ended bad for some. She could only hope her party would help lighten the night and bring it to a close with a smile.

Artie had to get to the dance on time to set up his DJing station, which he was okay with. Of course, practically no one was there that he knew, and there were a bunch of freshmen milling around. He did have to deal with Quinn and Ethan and Santana, though, who were all kind of tipsy. At least, the girls were. Apparently the guys were just very responsible... or had DJing and a gig to do. And Artie had to drive, so obviously that wasn't going to happen.

Eventually, though, people did start showing up so he switched from just a CD to actual DJing and waited for his friends to arrive.
