Tina sat cross legged on her bed with her Jack Skellington pajamas on-the same thing she'd been wearing for the past few days. She didn't want to move. She didn't want to sleep. She hated fighting with Mike, and she missed him horribly. So when he texted her back saying he missed her too and wanted to talk, she got a little excited that he missed her. She told him to come over so they could talk this out. Because it felt horrible not having him talking to her.

Artie lay stretched out on a raft in the pool, already baking in the sun. He'd mastered the art of applying just the right amount of sunscreen to prevent himself from burning yet also achieve the much desired tan. It just sucked when guys like Puck and Mike, who had ethnicity to provide golden brown skin also abs, came over. Whatever... at least he wasn't going to be a pale white boy for the first month or so back at school. He was also considering lemon juice for his hair. He'd always wondered how he'd look with highlights...

His parents and Amy were home today. That meant he wouldn't be secretly chugging down beers today; the cooler was stocked with soda instead. Artie wanted to make sure he said all the right things today. He had some repair work to do on their friendship, and he really wanted to do right by Mike Chang this time. Because having awesome abs, dancing skills, and an Asian heritage wasn't a crime.

Mike grinned as he read Tina's text. Although she had only been gone a few weeks, it seemed like forever. And he was really glad she was back now. They had never really been separated for that long before and he wondered what kind of romantic gesture her return called for. Rice? It was kind of like Asian flowers. But she had just been in a real Asian place where the rice was probably much better. He was actually jealous now that he thought about it. He'd have to pester his parents into making a trip to China soon...

He shook his head slightly to focus. Romance. Right. Tina had said she wanted to see a movie. Maybe he should bring her candy. That was date-like. Totally. He told his parents he was going to see Tina (which basically gave him a free ride to do anything) and headed to her house, making a pit stop at the corner store to buy a few of her favorite kinds of candy, before finally arriving at her house and knocking.
