The tenth day was finally here and Owen was going to make his appearance. This was the simplest thing he had done, and yet, it was the one he had spent the longest time working on. On the morning of the 13th, one day before Valentine's Day, Owen walked to the Payne household with a stack of cardboard under one arm and a nervous smile on his face.

Out of everything Owen had done, this was definitely the most elaborate. He had originally intended to do something simple today, something like stuffing Madison's locker filled with the kind of homemade valentines cards people would make in the third grade, but then an idea struck him and it wouldn't leave.

He knew he had to do it.

And it wasn't like he was getting any sleep anyway. What better thing to do than this?

In the morning, once again much too early for anyone to wake, Owen proceeded to Madison's house, leaving a nice simple children's valentine's card taped to the mailbox. He hoped she would see this for it was the one that would set off the hunt.

On the card, in a neat script, read Locker

Dear Mr Hummel,

I don´t even know where to start so I just jump right into it.

He calls it "a possibility". He actually is thinking about enlisting and he calls it a possibility.

He says he doesn´t even actually know why he´s considering it, but…

Damn, I wasn´t angry and I managed to talk about it to him completely without shouting at him or something and I think I was actually pretty nice and all that… But now thinking about it I just feel like kicking something.

Do you know what sucks the most? That if he did it, I probably wouldn´t have any other choice than become a supportive military spouse. I´m actually browsing this military spouse webpage atm and Because I love that damn idiot.

I know you´ve said I could approach you with this if I needed… Could you please talk to him? I´m not sure I´m able to actually talk sense into him. I get either all selfish and all that or angry… I´m not certain I´m helping any.
