What: Kurt got exciting news about NYADA
When: Right after school, before Finn and Rachel come over for 'Ben.

Kurt had almost texted Blaine about 37 times today, ever since his dad had brought the NYADA letter informing him of the exact thing he needed to hear after the wreck that was the incident in the parking deck.

But no, he'd resisted and now he was here at the Andersons', bounding up the stairs and opening up the door with barely a knock. "Blaine?" he said, grinning stupidly as he opened the door. "Are you awake?"

	At the flurry of activity at his door, Blaine pushed himself upright from his slouch against his headboard, and tugged the earbuds out of his ears. "Hey," he said, brightening at the expression on Kurt's face. "Good day?" he asked, smiling. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Blaine laughed, pleased that Kurt's mood was so good, after the past few days. Considering how quiet it had been confined to his room lately, Kurt's excitement was refreshing. 	Kurt quirked an eyebrow and rolled his eyes. "Gay marriage will pass in Alabama before that happens," he said. He reached in and pulled out a torn-open envelope before dropping his bag on the ground and leaping to land on Blaine's bed, stomach first. Blaine steadied himself quickly at the sudden shift of the mattress, and folded his legs in front of him before examining the envelope.

"NYADA?" he breathed, and suddenly he was every bit as excited as Kurt. "Did you -- oh my god, Kurt--" He pulled the letter free hastily, scanning the contents, and let out a whoop at the words Dear Mr. Hummel, we are pleased to inform you--

"You're a finalist!?" Blaine crowed, one hand clutching at Kurt's shoulder. "I told you! They'd be stupid not to want you, Kurt -- congratulations!"

	"Wait, so what happens next, an audition?" Blaine asked. He hugged Kurt enthusiatically even as he mentally reviewed what he'd picked up about the NYADA application process from working on college applications with him. "Dad brought the letter to school as soon as the mail came," Kurt said. "Pulled me out of class to see it, which... I thought something bad had happened to you, like your eye falling out or something. I don't have the best track record of being pulled out of class for good things," he muttered. "He didn't come over here and tell you already and you're just playing along, did he?"

"It will just draw out the celebration longer," Kurt said, giving Blaine a quick kiss before sliding off the bed to retrieve his bag. "And I'm going to hold you to it. And speaking of reading," he added, pulling out a stack of magazines and moving to settle in one of the side chairs -- pulled as close as he could to the bed, of course. "I'd thought you might be getting bored and with all of the pills your on, I couldn't imagine you focusing for long, so I brought you some magazines in the hopes of keeping you company. And if you can't read, well, I could read them to you," he added with a grin. "You have your choice today of Vogue, Entertainment Weekly, or last month's National Geographic that Carole took from work -- or at least that's where I'm assuming it came from because I don't know who David Young is," he chuckled.

"Vogue and Nat Geo both rely on the photo spreads, hit me with the Entertainment Weekly first," Blaine suggested. He reached over to grab the plaid throw blanket from the foot of his head and then settled back against the headboard, easily within arms' reach of Kurt. "That way I'll rest my eye for the other two, and get to listen to your voice -- this is why I love you, did I mention that?" he chuckled.
