McAnally's on LJ - a summary
Harry goes to Mac's for dinner and meets up with Susan, whom he tries very had not to let himself get carried away with.
He decidedly does *not* 'invite' Susan into his place.
Methos and Murphy have a chat at St. Mary's.
Murphy's doing some late night paperwork.
Harry gets a phone call from a stranger that is stranger than his usual fare, but then he and the guy meet for lunch and it just keeps getting weirder from there.
The Coyote Ugly Saloon's a little slow on Monday nights.
Harry calls Murphy and tells her about his coversation w/ Zeke - just a head's up for the local authorities.
A weary monster hunter makes his way back to Chicago only to find a man of similar profession lurking on his doorstep. (That Zeke gets around.)
Dresden's drowsy and Molly Carpenter has conversations with Thomas and Van Helsing during her visit to the Field Museum.
Then it's restocking at the Coyote Ugly, while Van Helsing patrols Graceland Cemetery and Murphy is working late.
Susan drops in to make Harry crazy... oh, and to bring books.
There's a new girl in town and she happens to wander her way into Harry's life and can't leave because she's sort of the 'little lost lamb' and Harry won't let her walk back to her dorm alone, oh, and did we mention that Harry walks himself into a lamppost? After that, Rosa insists on walking him home, and taking care of him, at least until Thomas gets home with his latest - date. Of course, Harry gets no reprieve, even in sleep (well, maybe a little). Then he drives Rosa back to her dorm before heading off to work.
Lil has breakfast and Harry has a visitor when he gets to work who has some vague, but big, info for him.
Ebenezer and Gray Jay catch up on old times and the Family Carpenter is doing family things - treehouses and the like. Michael Carpenter saves Rosa from a nasty vile thing, but they talk of Harry and she gets information on a church to visit.
Molly is caught skipping school when Dad brings the younger kids to the zoo.
After church, Rosa bumps into Van Helsing, who makes sure she gets onto her bus to Harry's place okay. Rosa also meets Lily, who gives her a protective charm of sorts.
Harry has a brief conversation with Charity Carpenter - since he was trying to find Michael. Fortunately, he runs into Michael during his meandering walk around Chicago and has the most uncomfortable conversation about 'a girl'.
Lily's waiting for her ride outside Mac's. Brian Kinney interviews and hires a new assistant (Rosa). After her interview, Rosa meets Molly.
Murphy calls Harry into a scene - things are not pretty here.
Lil's got a customer by the name of Susan Rodriguez.
Van Helsing, post fall trauma and repair, gets a visit from Maeve and makes a deal with her (he's a stupid man - even if he did get something for it).
Harry bumps into Rosa again (not literally, but she does kiss him) and Harry has quite the dream - he blames Lasciel. Later, when he wakes up, Rosa makes him breakfast
Molly, Michael - father-daughter talking thing.
Harry talks to Gray Jay about his case - he's not sure how helpful the info is. And Rosa and Michael catch up a little.
Van Helsing exits his physio session and finds himself Rosa for a cook/masseuse. He also finds himself rather alone after he irritates her a little too much being over-aggressive.
Michael and Charity after Michael's hard day at work (it's work safe, sheesh).
Brian doesn't much care for Rosa's headache remedy, but he relents and it *does* work.
After Rosa's visit with Van Helsing, she gets a ride to Harry's place in Van Helsing's car.
Apparently there's a party in the NeverNever, but Lily doesn't seem keen on attending, so she's at Mac's instead and has a chat with Rosa.
Harry has a no good, really bad day. No, really. He and Murphy wind up in Looney Tunes, with anvils and everything. It also serves to make Harry really late for his date with Rosa. On her way to see Harry the next day, Rosa bumps into Murphy who sends well-wishes to Harry.
Van Helsing and Maeve bump heads again - she's checking on his recovery, she's a little impatient, then he bumps into one Brian-fucking-Kinney, they have a drink... and a little something else. Maeve had considered following Van Helsing... maybe she should have, could've seen the show. *g*
Van Helsing finds Rosa in Graceland Cemetery and inquires about a) why she's there and b) how her date with Harry went.
Rosa has a habit of wandering and even finds herself at Harry's office downtown. Charity has the younger children with her in the park and Van Helsing seems to be keeping a watchful eye over them.
Rosa asks Harry to take her to the airport to pick up her sister Clara who is coming in from Chile. This turns into a bit of an adventure, with nasty snarling demons and Clara not seeming to like Harry very much.
Lil gets a speeding ticket and her license taken away - because it's expired, but she finds a ride with Harry and hangs out at his office drinking his bad coffee until Rosa stops by.
Gray Jay saves Lily from some unspeakable ugly thing and she's quite grateful of his help. Van Helsing has invented his own brand of physio, where he stands on the roof of his building in the wind, using the resistance to test the strength of his legs. A day or so later, Maeve shows up again, this time he gets a bit more about his 'assignment' and what he's supposed to be doing for her.
Lil opens the doors and lets the crowd in.
Lily knocks on Harry's door to give tell about the nasty thing that tried to eat her; turns out, it's probably the same nasty thing that tried to eat Harry, Clara and Rosa.
Molly goes home for a visit with the siblings.
Brian's moping over drinks at the Coyote Ugly, sharing his woes with Lil for a bit and Susan's at Mac's, doing her own brand of moping.
Lil's having a "Thank God I'm Single" Valentine's Day party at the Coyote.
It's a cold day in Chicago and Rosa brings Harry soup and hot chocolate.
Gray Jay's having a drink and Michael and Van Helsing seem to be out hunting, not together, but in the vicinity of one another.
Dr. Cameron has arrived in Chicago and is preparing for an interview with the department head who might become her new boss (this thread goes on for 600 comments and encompasses more than a simple interview).
Van Helsing is moping in Millenium Park and gets a visit from Rosa, during which he mentions missing someone and Rosa is at a loss of how to help.
Rosa is sick and finds out from Dr. Cameron in the clinic that she has strep throat. Nothing too serious, which is good, because she has Harry drive her home.
Cameron's first official day at work - it involves a fish named 'B.O.' and a trip to the coffee shop with House. Harry's day off and he's working on his guitar skills. Maeve pays a visit to Murphy to give her the scoop on the nasty critter that's stalking around the city. And Lily's playing at the park.
Cameron's got a new pizza delivery guy who drinks all her beer, spends the night and insists that she make him pancakes in the morning.
Harry's run on the beach ends with Murphy giving him the scoop she got from Maeve about their nasty critters.
It's House's birthday and Cameron's got 'plans'.
Van Helsing's scoping out a cemetery for some intel.
Clinic Duty - Cameron's on and has a run in with Thomas - who seems to have burned his hand with a curling iron. Cameron doesn't ask questions.
VH - cemetery - the usual.
Clinic Duty - House is on and takes a look at a cut on Harry's scarred hand. But it's the scarring that's far more interesting to House, so he agrees to buy the wizard lunch.
Dr. Cameron has purchased herself a new house. Tired and sweaty from moving in, she answers the door when her first visitor arrives - things are okay for a while, but go a little downhill after that. A couple days later, she's dressed in a corset and they talk - things don't seem to improve much. Cameron writes a letter to House, only it's not really meant for him. Their next conversation goes condsiderably better.
Harry's doing paperwork at his office until he gets bored and goes to Mac's for a meal, where he runs into House again.
Harry takes one of his 'thinking' walks.
Cameron leaves a note for House and when he shows up at her place, he gets the gift of music - his piano in her living room.
Harry gets a Christmas gift too - Rosa stops by with lots of presents - for him, for Mouse, for Mister - he doesn't have any for her, but that doesn't ever seem to be a problem really.
