Bastian made it to his car with Ailsa in his arms and set her on her feet, keeping his arm around her long enough to reach inside his pocket for his keys, then he remembered he'd chucked them at Matt and turned around looking for the bloody things, only to find them on the dash on the driver's side of the damned car. "Bloody fucking hell." he grunted.

Taking stock of the situation, he eased Ailsa to the ground. "Just sit tight baby. I've gotta get my keys so I can get you in the car." he told her, leaning over to press his lips to her forehead. When he leaned back, he wet his lips and immediately regretted it. "First thing we do when I get you home is get you cleaned up. All this blood is driving me mad." he muttered as he got to his feet.

Julian walked down the street towards the park, sunglasses firmly in place over his eyes. It wasn't that sunny, truth be told, but any sun for the vampire was bright. Giving a slight stretch, he settled himself down in the shade under a big tree. For a while he just watched people come and go through the park, watching their movements and interactions. But even he was only so interested and after a while pulled out a small book and settled back to read.
