Who: Marianne & open
Where: Her bar
When: 9:00 pm, March 1, 2008
What: Working her ass off as usual
Status: Incomplete
Rating: TBA

Logan had been hanging out at the bar with her as of late, not wanting to be alone. She'd also taken to crashing on Marianne's couch when she didn't want to be at home really. She was, at that moment, passed out in a booth across the room. She'd wake up when the place was closing down and then they'd head back to Marianne's place.

The werewolf was currently busy with her work as the weretiger slept, she was loading up the shelves with liqour and the like for the next day. Her dark hair hung down her back easily, she glanced up as someone tapped on the bar and she gave a small smile and before she stood up and turned around.

"What will it be for you?" She smiled when he ordered a Guiness and set the draft beer up onto the bartop before she went back to work calmly. The bar wasn't near closed, but for now, she supposed, she could just finish stocking up while everyone else was too busy talking and having a good time before she actually had to serve them beer again.

Aside from coming in to work, Kristine had been hanging out in her apartment. She'd been keeping busy with a variety of tasks that included cleaning, painting, redecorating. Getting sick of looking at the same walls, she decide to head into town.

Yes, she knew it was risky going out alone, but she was headed for O'Connells. It felt good to get out and besides, Kristine knew she'd be safe there.

Walking in, Kristine sidled up to the bar and took a seat. She wasn't there for any particular reason, except for the fact that she wanted to be somewhere familiar that wasn't her apartment.

At the sound of the door opening, Marianne pushed herself to her feet very carefully. She moved over to rest her arms in front of Kristine with a smile. "Heya kiddo." Reaching out, she very lightly ruffled the girl's hair and smiled. "What brings you by? I figured Parker'd be keeping an eye on you." She smiled at her, though the smile itself was a little tired. She was tired. She was worried about her mate and her son out there somewhere with all of this, but she wasn't going to admit it to anyone except the handful that already knew.

"Coffee or tea, Kristine?" She set a cup down in front of the girl and just watched her for a few moments. "It's good to see you...maybe you can talk Logan.." She nodded over to the little weretiger in the booth. "..into staying with you for a few days.."

"Hey," Kristine smiled warmly, laughing lightly at her hair being ruffled. "I needed to get out of the apartment for a bit, felt a little confined in there, to be honest," she admitted, with a slight shrug. "He was, yeah."

He'd done a good job of looking after her, too. Kristine noticed Mari looked tired. "You okay?" She knew this was a tough time for the town, for everyone here, supernatural and mortal alike.

"Coffee would be great, thanks," Kristine decided to go for the stronger stuff. She felt like she needed the extra boost. "You too," she admitted. "Sure, I could try."

Kristine wouldn't mind having Logan stay with her. Maybe then she wouldn't feel so restless.

"I know how that feels." She replied, her fingers tapped along on the top of the bar. "I'm addicted to this place, so I suppose leaving it is near on impossible for me." She gave a small smile to her and nodded. "Well, at least he was there."

"I'm tired." She replied gently. "I've been keeping an eye on Logan and my cousin and you and Rosie.." She looked back into the cooking area, a small smile on her face.

She poured Kristine a cup of coffee and herself one as well. She added a touch of whiskey to hers and settled back to take a sip of it. "Yeah, it'd be nice, because she's wearing me out worrying about her brother and everything else.."

"Don't get me wrong, I love my place. I love this town. I just needed to be in different surroundings for a moment," she added. Kristine let out a small laugh, knowing how much Marianne cared for this place. "Yeah, I truly do appreciate him being there," she nodded.

Kristine smiled softly, knowing how much that must have taken out of her. She'd never be able to thank Marianne enough, for making sure she was okay. "Well, I will be glad to help out. I'm sure Logan and I will be fine."

"I know how you feel." She replied with a small smile and then looked at her, her fingers touching Kristine's hair for a moment. "I was getting worried since I hadn't seen or heard from you in a while, dearheart. I'm glad that you're all right."

She nodded and settled her head into her hands. "It's not only that..there are a lot of things I'm worried about, but Logan's too perceptive, so I figure I'll let her stay with you and she can protect you and vice versa."

"I'm more worried about everyone else than myself," Kristine admitted.

She knew Mari had a lot on her plate and could handle it, but that didn't keep Kristine from worrying about her. It was her nature, after all. "Yeah, I'll be glad to have her around. It'll be nice to get to know her better," she admitted. "If there's anything else I can do to help you out, let me know, okay?"

"Don't worry about us, we'll make it through this somehow. As I said, the main people we're worried about are the young ones. We older folk don't have to worry so much.." Except for those who had eternal youth, all of that jazz.

She smiled at Kristine, her fingers lightly touching her cheek. "Ah, sugar, there isn't much that'll help me out right now. Except to know my son is safe somewhere, I'm sure his father has him and will protect him with his very life...but, that's my mate..and my son. And..I shouldn't have left them." She sighed a little bit, her hand dropping away from Kristine's face. "All the years I've been here and I'm now just starting to open up about my mate and my son. But I'm glad the two of you can get to know each other, you and Logan. She's a good girl, for all she's a tiger."

"I know you will, but that won't make me stop," Kristine smiled lightly, knowing how it worked. Even if this whole situation revolved around those that were younger, it didn't stop Kristine from worrying about everyone here.

She nodded, hoping Mari knew the offer stood for any situation. "I'm sure he is," Kristine replied, ever the optimist. She really believed he was okay. "They're fine, I'm sure of it." It was both to reassure Mari and something Kristine believed. The glass was always half full in her eyes. "Yeah, she certainly seems it," Kristine grinned. She looked forward to spending time with Logan. She didn't know her well, but that would all change and she was happy for the opportunity.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of everything. Somehow, we'll all be all right. Don't ask me how, kiddo..but we will be." She smiled at her and ran her fingers back through her hair. Somehow over the years, she'd become attached to this little town and the people here. She had put down her roots without even realizing it.

"Eh, I can hope so. Though..I think if he showed up now I'd be too tired to bother arguing with him or fight with him about whatever he wanted. All this shit, I've been staying up to keep an eye on you guys..I fully plan on sleeping soon." She stretched and then she looked over at Logan, her head shook for a moment or two. "You guys'll get on just fine.."

"I know we will," Kristine nodded, always willing to look on the bright side of things. She knew they end up okay, she just wished it would be like that all ready. Ducking her head slightly, she smiled. No matter what happened, there was nowhere else Kristine would rather be. Mayham was her home.

"You deserve the rest," she admitted, knowing how hard Mari tended to work. Always putting others before herself; it was one of things about her that Kristine both admired and respected. She followed Marianne's gaze, spotting Logan. Kristine grinned. "Most definitely."

"We'll just have to be patient." She smiled a little bit and sighed. The little town of Mayham had become her home; even if Karl came, she wouldn't leave this town. It was her town. Hers. She shrugged a little bit and smiled again.

"Ah, but they say there's no rest for the wicked." She winked at her and then laughed. "Teasing, by the way." She kept her gaze on Logan, the sleeping little tigress. She was so tired as of late, something she really wouldn't admit to. "I really worry about her..and you..and Ailsa.."
