Who: Jamie and Marianne
Where: Noir's rooftop
When: late Tuesday night
What: Thinking, Watching
Rating: TBA
Status: Incomplete

Jamie had done the boss thing earlier tonight. In to make sure those that hadn't been around the other day now knew that Noir would be closing early tomorrow. A brief trip downstairs to make sure everything was all good down there, nothing needing repairing or what not. She'd stopped by her office briefly to do a bit of paperwork and was glad because just before she'd left she got a call she'd hoped would go to her cell. Over all an eventful night on the work side.

She'd wandered the town a little afterwards, not so much patrolling as working out nervous energy. The whole disappearances thing was grating on her nerves over both Ari and Ailsa. Julian left a day or so ago to the closest scene of a disappearance to see if he could pick anything up to help them figure out what was going on. Scents, odd feelings, things the police would have missed. He promised to be back for the meeting to report what he'd found. So the end of her late night wandering had found her sitting on top of her club's roof looking out at the city. Her mind wandering over her daughter and how this had to end before it touched this town.

Marianne had shut down the bar early, sending both Rosie home and sending her cousin home with Rosie for the older woman's protection. Sometimes even a werewolf got paranoid over things, and really, she was more than paranoid when it came to the ones that she loved. She was fiercely protective and would remain so until the day she didn't breathe anymore. Whenever that day may come. She shrugged a little bit and glanced around the bar before she headed out. She walked a little, not much, but enough to ensure the safety of those she cared for.

Now, now she had found her way to the roof of Noir somehow. How, she had no earthly idea, but she caught sight of Jamie sitting there and moved over to sit down next to her, she stretched one leg out, the other came up so her chin could rest on it. "Worried?" She asked softly. "I am too. I'm worried for Ailsa, for the kids..for my...for my son." There, she'd said it. Another person in the town would know, other than Sebastian and Matt now. She shook her head a little bit and just kept her gaze on the streets. She didn't look at the woman just yet, just watched to see if something nefarious lurked in the darkness. "Though..I figure we'll work it out..somehow.."

That was probably one of the biggest things that tied this town's group of supernaturals together more than anything. And over road their differences enough for them to have that meeting tomorrow. The overwhelming need to be protective and fiercely guard who they loved.

Jamie glanced at Mari, giving the wolf a faint smile. "It's hard not to be." She answered quietly. Leaning back on her hands a little, she gave a faint nod. "My daughter." She murmured as equal payment for Mari's admittance about her son. She knew that Mari might already know, what with Parker's interests laying in Kristine but that's never a guarantee. Jamie gave a final glance at Mari before her gaze followed the other's into the darkness. "We have to. Too many people riding on it..."

The funny part of it was, she did indeed think of them as the 'fellowship' but instead of the fellowship of the ring, they were the fellowship of supernaturals. Or some stupid shit along those lines. She shook her head after a moment or two and smiled.

Marianne glanced at her, returning her smile. "You're right.." She looked towards the street and then smiled at Jamie. "I hear she's a real cutie. I met Parker.." She shrugged a little bit and kept her gaze on the ground. She had no idea what to say at that moment or two, other than the fact that her contacts had turned up with nothing. "I've got nothing, my contacts can't find even a hint of what's causing this. It's frustrating. It's irritating." she kept her voice low, as if speaking of whatever it was would draw it here. "And yeah, there are a lot of people riding on it. A lot of lives.."

The 'fellowship' would be a little weird for Jamie's thought process. Not because she hadn't seen the movies, because really who hadn't. But because there were some that just really didn't belong next to each other under any other kind of circumstance. She knew of at least two that would probably try to kill each other if there wasn't a good cause for keeping peace.

Jamie gave a small nod, her smile grew brighter. "She really is." A brief pause before, "She'll be at the meeting tomorrow, and possibly not sleepy for all the new people she will get to meet." Her contacts had mostly given her definite locations and one or two that hadn't shown up in the news. "My contacts haven't found a hint of what's causing this either." There was the faintest of growls at that dead end. Showing more than words would that she agreed about the frustrating part. "Julian's gone to the nearest house to see if he can find anything first hand." She gave the faintest of bumps shoulder to shoulder, partially because if she remembered correctly weres were the touchy comfort type. "We'll get through this." Which was the truth. It was just a matter of how many more would go missing before that.

Yeah, like Marianne and most of the vampires. It wasn't that she didn't like them, it was just..she wasn't sure what it was. She glanced over at the faerie after a moment or two, considering something, could she maybe locate Karl and Allaister for her? But now was not the time, maybe later. Or maybe she'd just leave the two of them well enough alone.

Her own smile flashed a little brighter at the mention of the child being there. "That's good. Kids are wonderful little beings. They're cute, sweet, and over all, they have no guile." She glanced at her as the growl escaped Jamie's lips, then snorted. "And here they say were-creatures are fearsome when pissed..I'd hate to be on the bad side of a faerie. And it's probably good..that one of us went to see if we could find anything.." She bumped her back, a slight smile working it's way onto her lips. "Yeah, we will. After all, we're the fellowship, aye? And we cannot despair or all is lost..or some stupid shit like that. Hell if I can remember it.."

If Marianne gave her the information about Karl and Allaister and asked the question, she could and would. Between her magic and her contacts there wasn't a place on this realm that someone could hide from her. For the most part. Though she isn't a mind reader.

Jamie gave a faint grin. "Cute, sweet, and sometimes sticky." She made a faint face and then gave into the giggles the image she got in her mind. "Sorry. Sometimes Arianna has this habit of glamouring the fact that she has chocolate or something smeared on her cheek. And then it just gets everywhere." Any creature can be fearsome, but between the sheer strength and magic behind her, she couldn't deny it. "Good thing you aren't." She smiled. "And yea, he volunteered because he doesn't have the whole business thing to run and unlike Sebastian he can be out in the sun." The fellowship comment got her giggling again. "Just so long as we aren't separated into small groups like they were in the movie."

It wasn't likely that Marianne would tell her any of it though. Not in the present situation, she wasn't keen on the idea of dragging her mate nor her son in on it. If she could keep it from reaching either of them, where ever they were, then she had done something right in protecting the two of them.

She cocked her head off to one side and then raised an eyebrow, namely at the last part until Jamie explained. "Ah, children. If they can hide something, why bother cleaning it up, aye?" She shook her head a little bit and then tapped her hand lightly off of her leg, just considering several things. "Aye, good thing I'm not. Oh yeah, the him being able to be in sunlight is a major factor. If he winds up being questioned by the cops, I'm sure he could provide suitable cover for why he's there." Then she looked at her as she started giggling again, a bemused expression making it's way onto her face. "Aye, I highly doubt that we'll separate into groups quite like that. Namely when all of us have a hand in this in someway, and in someway, we're each protecting something we cherish. Whether it is simply life or if it is the lives of the people that we love and hold above all else, we each protect something and that's what binds us. Maybe some of us can't stand the others, simply because we're made differently, or because we smell differently. And that's not a bad thing because in the end what binds us all together, namely in this situation, is that we have something we're protecting. Whether it's the lives of the innocent, whether it's the people we love, or whether it's merely just because that life is too precious to be taken away." She shrugged lightly, her eyes still locked on the night, wary of it as she had never been before. Something hunted the hunters, and it put her on edge.

There was always after the odd disappearances stopped. Once they were successful in fixing everything.

Jamie gave a nod. "It's much faster that way. And faster means they get to go back to playing." The Fae tilted her head back to look not out at the town but up at the sky and millions of stars. "He's good at getting out of stuff. And most likely, he'll probably come up with a story about being a friend who had been out of town and didn't know. Grieving buddy and all that." Julian could be quiet the actor when he needed to be. Though, the mental tricks he could use helped to. "Probably helps that we aren't making this long perilous journal through which we have to climb mountains and cross seas to get to a volcano like place." She gave a faint smile. And even if they did need to make a trip, they had cars and planes to help them move so much faster. And a few tricks Jamie had up her sleeve for traveling faster. Though, the hunting the hunters had put all of them on edge. It wasn't a feeling Jamie liked much.

Maybe, it really depended on if she'd let her. And depended on if she'd even talk about it.

"Aye." She replied lightly and shook her head. "Children will be children, after all." Her eyes stared out over the sleepy little town, the place where everything seemed all right. "Good, that'll be a good story and will mostlikely help him out in a lot of situations." She didn't want to think about the mental tricks, those freaked her out. "Aye, no perilous journey through all of that. We're just trying to save the world like them." She snorted a little bit and shook her head yet again. "Goddess above, we're so weird."
