Who: Parker, Bastian and Ailsa
Where: Noir
When: Tuesday night
What: Spying
Rating: R
Status: Incomplete

Deciding that tonight was a good one to keep his promise to Sebastian, Parker made arrangements for Arianna and then left his house, deciding to walk to Noir instead of driving. It was a nice night, as things went, and it gave Parker time to think over the things going on in his life. He was sorely tempted to send Arianna back to the Fae realm until all of this was sorted, but at the same time, the separation would be hard on all of them, particularly Jamie, who had just gotten her daughter back. That, and Arianna most assuredly wouldn't go back without a fight, as she'd never been away from both of her parents at the same time for more than an overnight.

After greeting a few people he knew, Parker made his way to the bar and ordered a glass of whiskey and then sat down at a little table nearby, in full view of the bar. The little blonde vampiress he was supposed to be looking after flitted around behind it, talking and laughing with her customers easily, and Parker smiled a bit, watching her and sipping on his drink.

After dropping Ailsa off at the bar, Bastian had gone out for his meal with the intent to return and sit in the corner that Jamie tried to keep clear for him. He'd sat in the same one occasionally even when Ailsa had been mortal. Now his reasons for it were vastly different. His want to protect her and keep her safe much more fierce then before. Before he could have just ripped entrails out of anyone who'd dared harm her but this time was different. This time no one knew the assailant and that made it all the more difficult. Sebastian could deal with tangible. Could deal with mortals wanting a piece but something bigger than his own ego was far worse. Even he could see that and that in itself terrified him. He didn't fear much but this time, he feared for everyone he knew.

After feeding, he flew back to Noir, not wanting to leave her alone for any longer than necessary. He'd even left his car in the lot to go off and hunt. Entering the club he stood in the shadows watching his wife from a distance. A small smile graced his handsome face as he did. The only difference in her appearance was the youthful look of forever that shone from her. She was his angel, his heart.

Moving from the shadows, he walked through the crowd, ignoring people as he went. Eyes turned to look at him as he passed and he moved to sit in his normal spot, surveying his surroundings. He caught sight of a newcomer, sniffed the air and smirked as he caught the scent of another supernatural being. Leaning back in his seat, he set his wrist on the table top and folded one black clad leg over the other, then began drumming his fingers idly. The fingers of his other hand playing with his ring, turning it around his finger.

Parker quickly noted the presence of the vampire as he strode through the club and took up perch nearby, and nodded a bit. Just one breath and he knew that he was Ailsa's husband and maker, their scents were so similar. Parker's eyes went back to Ailsa for a moment, his suspicions confirmed by the private smile that graced her lips, and then he nodded a bit, picking up his glass and standing.

Approaching Sebastian's table, Parker kept a comfortable and respectable distance, one immortal greeting another. "Parker Aaronson," he offered, along with his hand, smiling slightly. "I figure if we're both staring in the same direction, I might as well introduce myself properly," he joked, jerking his head to the side a bit to indicate Ailsa.

Sebastian had glanced down momentarily to pick at a piece of lint on his black shirt when Parker approached. Glancing at the offered hand he lifted his head and just looked at the Fae. Then he motioned for him to sit before dropping his wrist back to the table.

"Sebastian LaCroix." he offered and inclined his head. He glanced past the man towards Ailsa and smiled when he caught her attention, the smile fading when he looked back to Parker. "You've kept your word so I will keep mine. Your daughter has my protection if it is needed." he said. "Though I'm sure my wife will gladly take on responsibility and have the charming child in our home on occasion." he said.

When Sebastian refused the handshake, Parker just shrugged and took the offered seat.

Returning the nod, Parker waited until the moment had passed between Sebastian and Ailsa and then smiled, unphased by the seriousness of his companion. Taking another sip of his whiskey, he set the glass on the table and ran his fingers down the slight condensation, nodding at the agreement. Parker laughed and shook his head. "Actually, she's not so much offered, but demanded it," he admitted with a little smile. "Arianna was in the office the other day, and it seems that the two girls have fallen in love with each other," he explained.

Shifting a little on his seat, a small smile crept to his lips then faded just as quickly. "Fantastic." he drawled. "My wife has the ability to charm those around her. It doesn't matter who and the extent of her reach obviously not stop with children." he said quietly. "I however lack that ability." he said, then shrugged.

"It does not surprise me that Ailsa would demand such a thing." he said glancing towards her with a slight pang of guilt. His gaze finally settled on Parker again. "She will be safe in my home. Contrary to what you may or may not have heard, I rarely eat children." he said, then grinned, though his eyes told a different story. "Arianna is a lovely name." he said then glanced up when a waitress came to the table. "Ailsa will bring me my drink my dear. You may go away." he said then looked at Parker, dismissing her with a thought.

Parker chuckled. "That she does, without a doubt," he agreed. Pondering Sebastian's admission for a moment, Parker scratched at his jawline before dropping his hand back in his lap. "I find that the most successful pairings tend to happen when the partners balance each other well," he mused. "From what I have heard, the two of you do that grandly," he praised, lifting his glass a bit before taking another sip.

"I have no doubt of that," Parker assured him, chuckling a bit at the joke - or whatever it was. "Thank you," he said, and then meant to say more, but was momentarily distracted by the waitress, who Parker looked over with a slow and easy gaze. He gave her a wink as she left and then turned back to Sebastian. "Jamie picked it," he continued with a shrug. "To be perfectly honest, I don't even know what it means," he laughed. "But I find that those things are more important to women. Ari is mine, by any name. And, I dare say, she might even charm you," he smirked. "The girl does enjoy a challenge."

"She is the light to my dark." Sebastian said simply. "The proof in that is that she managed to catch my attention and keep it beyond a passing fancy when she was mortal." he said, nodding when Parker lifted his glass in a little salute. "Were it not for her.." he trailed off and looked at the table. Were it not for me, he thought we wouldn't be having this conversation.

"A name is a name as long as it suits." he said. "A shame Ailsa will never know the joys of having a child. I cannot solely blame myself but for her even other options are now an impossibility." he said. Bastian crooked a brow. "We shall see. She might find me frightening, perhaps a bit off putting. I believe she would spend most of her time with Ailsa. Though the possibility that the girls will torture me is quite possible." he said, and drummed his fingers.

"A feat indeed," Parker agreed with a nod. He had the same problem with women, after all. Tilting his head to the side, Parker nodded slowly. He had the same thoughts of Arianna. If he hadn't been so reckless in her making, she'd not be in danger now. But, then again, she wouldn't be at all now. He tried to think of some idle words of comfort, but none came. At least, none that might not spark another scowl from Sebastian, so he kept his mouth shut.

"She can borrow Arianna any time she likes," Parker assured him, shaking his head a bit. "I do not think she regrets anything," he mused. "The way she spoke of you, of your life together...the changes, the things she's had to cast aside...they don't matter to her," he insisted. "She's unbelievably happy. I got that the minute she walked in my office," he chuckled. It turned into a full laugh after a second and Parker nodded. "Watch out for water pistols," he warned. "That's one of Arianna's favourites right now. She fancies herself a spy," Parker said with a roll of his eyes and a mock-serious nod.

"I'm sure she wi-" Sebastian's words were cut short and his eyebrow raised. "She spoke of me?" he asked. "Does she do that often?" he asked, his gaze flicking to Ailsa then back. "I hope her happiness lasts and that in time she does not regret her decision." he said.

"Water guns?" he asked, shaking his head. "The child's toy?" he asked. Not having children, not actually able to see them at play he was fairly sure he knew what it was but not a hundred percent.

Parker had to laugh at Sebastian's surprise. "That she does," he admitted with a nod. "I asked her why she was subletting so soon after purchasing her apartment, and about an hour later I was able to ask my next question," he laughed, shaking his head. "Your wife loves to talk, I've found. But yes," he said, calming and giving Sebastian a nod. "Even when she's not speaking of you..." he trailed off and shrugged. "She loves you, mate. You're always in her thoughts, and it's written all over her face."

"Aye," he nodded, grinning. "Which is quite possibly my fault," Parker admitted. "They're loads of fun though. Just watch for puddles, Ari tends to glamour things instead of cleaning them up like she's supposed to."

Sebastian listened and nodded periodically. "She certainly does. I find it best to kiss her. It tends to shut her up." he said, shrugging a little. For some reason, hearing that his wife loved him from someone else outside the situation made it more real for him. He knew she loved him, she'd told him often enough and he felt it everytime she was near and even when she wasn't but to hear it from someone else meant that others could see it.

"Then if my socks become wet I will know why." he said, smirking a little. It could prove interesting to have a child around, if Ailsa didn't leave him alone with her for too long. He was quite sure he wouldn't be able to handle it for a great length of time.

"I suppose I'll have to suffer through it then," Parker laughed, looking at Ailsa and shaking his head a little bit.

Parker smiled. "If she gets to be too much, stick her in a room and tell her to glamour it empty," he coached. "It'll take her at least an hour, and she's so determined, she won't stop until it's done," he chuckled.

Taking another sip of his whiskey, Parker looked at the empty glass and set it down for the waitress to pick up the next time she came around. "So," he said conversationally. "How long have you been here?"

"Yes, you will." Sebastian said. He glanced to Ailsa as well and reached out with his mind. Would you bring me a glass of red wine beautiful?

"I'll remember that." he said and nodded. "Does that help her work out her powers?" he asked.

"A few months." Sebastian said. "Shortly after I arrived is when I met Ailsa." he said. "I had orginally intended to make my stay here short. A place to get lost for a bit and then back to a bigger city." he said.

Parker saw Ailsa look over at Bastian, mid conversation, and realised what he'd done. He gave a little grin and wiggled his empty glass, which sent Ailsa laughing, and she held up one finger to them, indicating to wait.

"It does," Parker said, turning back to answer Sebastian's question. "She's remarkably good at it for her age, and she enjoys it immensely. Honestly, that's the only pitfall of bringing her here: she's limited."

Parker smiled. "Women make us do the damnedest things, eh?" he joked, shaking his head a little. "And speak of the devil..." he muttered, seeing Ailsa come out from behind the bar, their drinks in hand.

Sebastian smirked when Parker picked up his glass and wiggled it for Ailsa. He winked at his wife then looked at Parker.

"Why is she limited? Why hide who she is?" he asked. He nodded. "That they do." he said. He smiled when Ailsa came over and crooked a brow. A wicked grin passed over his lips as he stared at her. I do so love your ass my grace.

Hearing Bastian's voice inside her head and seeing Parker's request, Ailsa laughed a little and rolled her eyes, taking off her apron and setting it on the counter behind the bar. "Back in twenty!" she called down the bar to her fellow tender, who nodded and shooed her away once she had the drinks in hand.

Bastian's comment made Ailsa make a face at him as she approached, and she set their glasses down, kissing Parker's cheek hello before parking said ass in Bastian's lap. I'm going to beat you later, she thought with a smirk and then wrapped one arm around her husband's shoulders to support herself. "You boys playing nice?" she asked merrily.

"She doesn't have the best control yet," Parker explained, watching Ailsa walk over and wondering what the look she shot Sebastian was about. "That, and explaining things to people that aren't aware isn't something she's able to handle yet," he shrugged.

Returning Ailsa's cheek kiss, he grinned. "You know us," he deadpanned, winking at her before taking a sip of his whiskey. "Work alright?"

Sebastian glanced down and chuckled. "A good enough explanation." he said then glanced at Ailsa and watched the exchange between the two.

His arm slid easily around her as she sat in his lap and he snorted. "Oh, please..do." he taunted her, crooking a brow. "But I get to as well." he shot back then nodded.

"As nice as I can be." he said, then glanced at Parker. "I haven't told him to fuck off yet so I'd say it's going well." he said then smiled.

Her low growl was enough for an answer and then Ailsa let the subject drop, thinking it a bit rude to continue on like that in front of Parker.

"Aww, baby, you're growing," she teased, patting Bastian's cheek and giggling. "I'm glad you two are getting along though. I forgot to tell you, we might be babysitting this weekend," she beamed innocently.

Nodding at Parker, Ailsa ran a hand through her hair. "Great, thanks. Might actually be getting off pretty soon. It's slow enough and I'm staying late for 'stocking' tomorrow night, so Jake's been trying to boot me early all night long," she explained. Stocking, supernatural town meeting, whatever.

Parker laughed at the teasing that Ailsa gave Sebastian and shook his head at the two of them. As it was his first viewing of them as a couple, he decided right then and there that everything he'd thought about them was right. They were very much in love, and balanced each other quite well.

"How are you baby--" he started and then stopped, his face contorting in pain when Ailsa's foot collided with his shin. "I forgot," he muttered, shaking his head.

Rubbing his shin, Parker nodded. "Yeah, that's going to be a regular riot," he grumbled, not looking forward to it at all. But, it was unfortunately a necessary evil. "Ari's going to be so pissed when we glamour her out of it," he mused, shaking his head.

"Bite me." Sebastian said. "Take that literally if you'd like." he growled at her. "I can stop playing nice if you'd like. A bit of fae blood would give me a tingle." he deadpanned.

"Wait. What?" he asked, tilting his head to the side a little then caught the look of pain on Parker's face. He snorted and shook his head. "Not even yours and she has you whipped." he drawled then lifted his hand from Ailsa's waist and ran his fingers up and down the stem of his wine glass idly.

"Why not take Jake's advise?" he asked her. "I'm sure I could occupy you for the rest of the evening." he teased. He glanced at Parker. "You must forgive me. I find myself insatiable where this gem is concerned." he said, moving his hand from the wine glass to run his finger down her arm.

"I just might, except you like it," Ailsa shot back with a roll of her eyes. At the next comment, Ailsa smacked his shoulder and laughed. So much for your reward for being friendly...

Ailsa blinked innocently, and shrugged. "Parker needs to take Kristine out on a proper date," she said with a serious nod. "And I need my kidlet fix," she grinned. "Win - win if you ask me."

"I'm sure you could," Ailsa smiled, leaving out the bit about needing the money. It would only start a fight and she really didn't want to go there.

"I've taken her on three proper dates!" Parker retorted, pulling a face at her when she just smiled at him. Looking at Sebastian, he groaned. "I don't know how you manage to get anywhere with this one," he teased, jerking his thumb at Ailsa.

Waving off his apology, Parker took another sip of his drink and shrugged. "I can't blame you, man. One of these days I'm sure I'll run into one that does the same to me. Heavens help us," he joked.

"Mmm..I do." he muttered. He chuckled when she smacked him and flashed his eyes at her. "Tease." he said then smiled knowing full well he'd said it out loud.

"Is that right? Who's Kristine?" he asked. He may have spoken to her though he wasn't sure. Hell, Ailsa may have even mentioned her. "With difficulty at times." he told Parker. "I don't see how it's win-win. For you perhaps." he said.

"I know I could." Sebastian countered. There were two reasons she'd want to continue on in her shift. One was that it gave her something to do, the other was money. He left it alone.

"The heavens can't help me." he retorted then smirked. "Though my idea of insatiable and yours mon ami are two vastly different things. I can assure you." he said and glanced off to the side at a little scuffle. He fed a thought into the one's mind and smiled as the other one got decked. Another thought planted into that mind and Bastian threw his head back and laughed as the two men started fighting like girls in a cat fight. Clawing and screeching at each other.

"Kristine," Ailsa repeated, as if that would make it easier for him to remember. "My old neighbor. She works at Marianne's..." she coached, trying to jog his memory. She pulled a face at him and shrugged. "Then you go hide somewhere. I'm babysitting. And its not as if she won't be in bed soon after getting there," she pointed out.

Ailsa got distracted from his comments by the scuffle and reached across the table to hit Parker's arm when he joined in at Bastian's laughter. "You're an asshole," she told her husband with a shake of her head, and then watched as two bouncers carted the squabbling pair outside.

"Little human girl," Parker explained. "She's lived here her whole life, which makes things easier," he shrugged. "Quite lovely."

Parker crowed when the two men started fighting like girls and then grumbled when Ailsa hit him. "What?!? It's funny," he insisted, shaking his head at her. She had a point though. Making fights worse in Jamie's bar probably wasn't the best idea of entertainment.

Finishing off his whiskey, Parker pushed the glass toward the edge of the table and rubbed his palms on the legs of his jeans. "If you've everything in hand, I'm going to get back to Arianna," he said with a smile at Sebastian.

He looked at Ailsa and just shook his head. "Sure." he said, then looked at Parker. "What is it with humans and those not of their kind?" He asked, looking pointedly at his wife. He softened the look with a smile. "Though in some cases, it works out for the best." he said.

"Yes. And?" he asked then chuckled when Parker got hit. "It's not the first time I've done it for my amusement." he reminded her then glanced at Parker. A slow smile crept to his lips. "What a choice of words as it's exactly what I'd like..to have things in hand." he retorted. "I suppose then I shall meet your daughter this weekend." he said. "It was a pleasure." he inclined his head slightly but didn't bother moving as he really couldn't. Well, he could have had he wanted to but he really didn't. He was content where he was, the position he was in.

Ailsa gasped at his comment and then frowned. "Nice save," she deadpanned, while Parker laughed.

"I'm aware of that, and Jamie's going to have your ass one of these days," she retorted, shaking her head.

Parker agreed that it was and returned the chaste kiss Ailsa gave him, tossing a couple of bills on the table on his way out, giving a wave to the couple.

Picking up the money, Ailsa looked at it and growled. "That bastard," she grumbled, shaking her head at the amount he'd left, a good three times what he'd owed. Sighing, she pocketed it and then turned in Bastian's lap to look at him. "So, do you really want me to take Jake up on his offer, or are you still playing?" she asked with a little smile.

Bastian nodded to Parker when he waved then turned his attention to his wife and crooked his brow. "I'm called an asshole and he gets called a bastard for leaving you money?" he asked. "Odd." he muttered.

He returned her smile. "When have you never known me not to be serious where taking you home is concerned?" he asked. "Though if your heart is set on working and earning money, feel free to go behind the bar. But if you'd rather come home and spend some time with me, that option is there." he said. "You're an ass because you mess with people for kicks, and he's a bastard because he left entirely too much," Ailsa grinned, leaning in and pressing a kiss to his lips. "But I love you anyway," she reminded him with a smile.

Ailsa shrugged. The bar wasn't all that crowded, so it wasn't as if she was ducking out on a high tip-count night. "Of course I'd rather spend time with you," she assured him and then winced when he reminded her about feeding. "I got distracted doing laundry," she said, though that really wasn't an excuse. "I would beat you if you went out alone." he said, his tone cold. "Did I not say that you would hunt with me?" he reminded her. "Yes. I will come with you. You do not go out alone without myself or one of your friends. I thought we discussed this?" he asked.

Ailsa frowned at the scolding, confused. She hadn't meant anything by it, she'd just been making sure.

"I know, Bastian," she said softly, looking hurt. "I was making sure. I'd go without if you weren't going to come with me," she assured him. "I was just trying to...I don't know...make it sound a bit more normal than my need for a babysitter," she mumbled, looking down, dejected.

He sighed and when she finished and looked down, reached for her chin and tilted it up. "Forgive me." he said quietly. "I am not angry my dear." he said. "Just worried." he told her. "What scares me most is that even if I am with you, it may not be enough." he said, leaning forward a little.

"Please my grace, I only want to see you safe and I know that one so young can be reckless because I've seen it. Young run from their makers because they believe themselves ready and end up hurt or worse..dead." he told her. Ailsa looked up when prodded, meeting his eyes, her own swimming a bit with unshed tears.

"I'm not going to run from you, Bastian," she assured him. "I've only been out a couple of times by myself, and that was before all of this," she reminded him. "I like having you with me. It makes me feel more confident," she confessed.

"I'm worried too," she sighed. "I didn't even like meeting the delivery guy at the back door tonight," she admitted with a weak chuckle. Standing up, she reached for his hand. "Come on," she pleaded. "I'm hungry and I couldn't bare it if you weren't with me."

When she got up he glanced at her hand and reached for it, getting to his own feet. "Then let's go." he said, cupping her face with his free hand. "Before you wither away to nothing." he teased her half heartedly. Before she could move away, he pulled her into a fierce embrace.

"Well, I'm not doing that either," Ailsa assured him, shaking her head.

She nodded, and was about to run over to the bar to tell Jake she was leaving and close out her tabs, but before she could even move, she was in Bastian's arms. Wrapping her own around him, Ailsa buried her face in his neck and let out a choked sound, closing her eyes tightly to keep her from crying. "I love you," she whispered, her voice shaking as she clung to him tightly.

He stood there, his arms around her and the side of his face pressed to the top of her head. "I love you too." he whispered back.

When he finally pulled away, he cupped her face and gently kissed her. "Go do what you need to do and then we can go." he told her. "Go on. I'm right here." he said softly and let her go.

Returning the kiss, Ailsa managed a little smile and ran her fingers down the line of his jaw before turning away and, after grabbing the glasses off the table, booked it to the bar. "I'm out, Jakey," she called, pulling Parker's money out of her pocket and putting what was required in the till before separating the rest between herself and Jake. "Have a good night, hon!" she said, blowing him a kiss before ducking back out from behind the bar.

Making her way back over to Bastian, Ailsa pulled her coat around her shoulders and buttoned a couple of the buttons before slipping her hand in his. "Okay, I'm ready," she said, with a little bit of a brighter smile than before, leading him toward the doorway.
