Who: Parker and Kristine
Where: Kristine’s
When: Monday night, around ten o’clock
What: Checking up
Rating: TBA
Status: Incomplete

For a night without Arianna, Parker was being decidedly boring. He wandered around his house, looked over Ailsa’s rental paperwork, finished up some things he needed to do for work, and by ten o’clock, he was bored out of his skull. Flopping down on the couch, Parker grumbled, palmed his face and then picked at a spot on his jeans. “Fuck this,” he grunted, getting up and grabbing his pea coat.

About five minutes later, he pulled his car up in front of Kristine’s apartment and smiled. He didn’t even know what he was doing there, but once the idea of seeing her came into his head, it was hard to get rid of. Heading up the stairs, he paused outside her door for a second, wondering if he should have called first, and then shrugged. “Screw it,” he muttered, and then knocked on her door.

Kristine was surprised by the knock, when she heard it. She'd been in the kitchen washing some dishes. Yes, what a wonderful way to spend a Monday night.

Making her way to the door, she hazard a guess as to who it could be. There were a couple possibilities. Opening the door, she couldn't help but smile when she saw who it was. "Parker, hi."

In the amount of time that it had taken her to answer the door, Parker had become sure that he was right. That her link to him, to Ailsa, to Marianne, it had gotten her taken or killed, or something.

So, when she opened the door, Parker breathed a sigh of relief, and reached for her. Cupping the sides of her face, he pulled her in to a quick and thankful kiss. "You're okay," he said uselessly, resting his forehead against her own for a minute before picking her head up and running a hand through the hair at her temple. "I got worried that something had happened," he admitted with a wince, realising how lame it was.

Ever since she'd seen the news, there hadn't been a moment when Kristine wasn't thinking about everyone in Mayham and worrying about what could happen.

Happy that Parker was okay, she kissed him back. "I am, I'm okay," Kristine nodded, understanding his worry. She clung to him, slightly, just glad that he was there. "Nothing's happened, nothing will," she attempted to reassure him. "Come inside," she tugged on his arm, ever so slightly, knowing she'd feel better with them inside.

When she clung to him, Parker rubbed his hand down her back and gave her a little smile. "I know," he admitted. "It's just, with all of this, I worry. Entirely too much," he joked, albeit lamely.

Moving inside, Parker shut the door behind him and shed his coat, setting it over the back of a chair before giving Kristine a smile. "So, what am I interrupting?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at her.

"My intimate time with the dishes," Kristine joked, gesturing to the kitchen sink. "I lead such an exciting life, don't I?" She winked, laughing.

At least that helped. Parker laughed appreciatively and shrugged. "Better than me, I suppose," he admitted. "I got ahead on some work and looked over things that were fine to begin with for entertainment. Then," he said, moving over to her and wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and running his lips up her neck to her ear. "I decided that a visit to you was in order," he muttered.

"I suppose," Kristine chuckled, smirking. "That's one way to spend your time," she teased, knowing things had to get done.

Kristine sighed happily, shivering slightly at his touch. "I'm very happy you thought that," she murmured, smiling.

"Me too," Parker smiled against her skin before picking his head up and steering her toward the window. "There's something you've got to see," he muttered, pulling up the shades, still keeping one arm around her waist. Once they were secure, he angled her in his arms, resting his chin on her shoulder and pointed. The moon was rising, bright orange, as if it was trying to be the sun.

Kristine let Parker lead her towards the window, curious as to what that might be. "Oh yeah?" Watching the shades go up, she suddenly noticed what he'd wanted her to see. She stared out in awe. "Oh wow."

She'd never seen the moon like that. Not that bright, not in all the time she'd lived there. "It's amazing."

Smiling a little bit, Parker couldn't help but wonder what that witch friend of Jamie's was doing right now. In his experience, those type of immortals tended to be very superstitious. However, to Parker, it was just a moon, and an excuse to make Kristine smile.

He watched it for a few minutes until a couple of scattered clouds got in the way of the show, and then straightened up, turning Kristine in his arms and pressing his lips to hers.

And it certainly made Kristine smile.

She really liked that. Smiling, Kristine kissed him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Letting out a little groan when she moved her arms up around his neck, Parker pulled her closer, holding her securely with one arm while the other hand carved through her hair.

"You are absolutely breathtaking," he muttered against her lips before gently massaging his way past them with his tongue, deepening the kiss gradually.

Kristine sighed when she felt Parker's hand in her hair.

She let out a low chuckle, smirking a bit at his statement. "You're just saying that," she replied before kissing him, returning the attention.

Smirking against her mouth, Parker pulled her still closer, splaying his hand against the small of her back. After a moment, he broke the kiss, dragging his lips down her neck.

"No, no, my dear," he insisted. "I'm Fae, I cannot lie," he reminded her. "You truly take my breath away." He pressed his lips to hers again, not waiting this time to deepen the kiss, and ran his fingers under the folds of her jacket, tracing along the curves of her stomach before bringing his hands off and pushing the material down her shoulders.
