Who: Parker and open
When: Wednesday night, around 12am
Where: O’Connell’s
What: INTRO POST
Rating: TBA
Status: Incomplete

Leaving Arianna in the Fae realm with some friends for the day, Parker had spent his time getting things ready for the move to the human side of things. Though most of it should have been spent getting his offices set up, instead, he’d spent an inordinate amount of time making sure every inch of Arianna’s room was perfect in their new house. The move was going to be overwhelming for the little girl, and so he made sure to have as much familiarity around her as possible.

Exhausted and in the need for a drink, Parker went out in search for a bar. The first choice, obviously, would have been Noir, but as he wanted to surprise Jamie with Arianna in tow, that was obviously out for the time being. So, walking into a small Irish pub, Parker looked around and smiled, sitting down at the bar and running a hand through his hair.

Kristine had been cleaning the bar, the first chance she'd gotten. It had slowed momentarily, but Kristine knew the place would be pick up again.

Spotting a new face, Kristine smiled and made her way over. "What can I get you?"

Watching the bartender long before she'd noticed him, Parker smiled softly, breathing her in. Human, obviously, but one that was around the others enough that he didn't have to pretend to be anything other than what he was. It was refreshing. Though, it was a damn good thing he didn't have that infernal pixie dust following him around as often as Jamie did, because that was just a bit much as far as disclosure went. The Peter Pan comments got old after the first thousand times.

Her question gave him free reign to look her over, briefly, his hazel eyes taking in the curves of her face and body easily. "Well, luv," he said slowly, his voice permeated with an accent that spoke of long travels all over the world. "Since you're offering, your name. Along with a vodka, straight."

Kristine should have expected an answer like that. She was clearly amused, laughing ever so slightly.

He was good looking, she'd noticed that right off the bat. It was really hard not to, in all honestly.

Figuring there was no harm in answering, Kristine smiled and fixed him his drink. She handed it over to him. "There you are," she nodded. A few seconds passed before she spoke. "It's Kristine."

Taking the drink from her, he thanked her with a smile and then took a long, slow sip, watching the bartender over the rim of the glass. "Brilliant," he said with a sigh, setting the glass down and smiling when she finally gave her name.

Catching her hand up off the bar, Parker bent over it to brush his lips across her knuckles. Outdated, perhaps, but it still worked just as well as it had hundreds of years ago, so he figured that pulling it out and dusting it off once in a while never hurt anyone. "Lovely to meet you, Kristine. I'm Parker."

Kristine smirked, glad to see he'd enjoyed his drink. She wondered if he was just visiting or had plans to stay in town for some time. It was purely curiosity driving that thought.

Not expecting what he did next, Kristine blushed slightly. Sure, she'd been hit on a good numbers of times since she began working here, but nothing like that had ever happened before. "You too, Parker," she smiled warmly. "What brings you to our town?"

As soon as the blush prettied her cheeks, Parker smiled, trying to keep the wickedness out of it for the time being. He was a good guy, but he did so love to make women blush. It was better than any sort of liquor in this realm or the other.

"Short story?" he asked, raising an eyebrow and taking another sip of his drink. "Family and friends. The long one is more...complicated," he shrugged. "But you, darling. You've lived here your whole life, non?"

Kristine really needed to get that blush of hers under control. She smiled, listening to his response.

"Complicated, huh?" She was intrigued, no doubt about it. But she wasn't going to press him for information, she was here to lend an ear, should people want to talk. It's usually what happened. "Born and raised, here, yes," she nodded. "Haven't left yet, not sure I ever will."

"Complicated," Parker repeated with a nod. "A good friend of mine from...back home, she owns the club around the way," he said, pointing generally, not quite sure which direction Jamie's club was in, actually. "I'm here to see her, and to get her help on a project of ours. Like I said, complicated," he shrugged. And getting into it all with a bartender, albeit a beautiful one, was a couple of drinks down the road.

"It's a lovely town," he said with a nod. "A good hiding spot, eh?" Parker asked, raising an eyebrow. "And certainly a place where there are few surprises anymore, I'd assume," he offered, as there was a distinct smell of werewolf around.

Kristine truly was interested in his story, but would not ask more on the subject. "It's nice to have people you know here," she admitted. "Complicated, right," she nodded, not commenting further.

"I'm glad you think so," and she was. This was her home, after all. Always had been, always would be as far as she was concerned. "Some see it that way, yes," she smiled lightly. "Oh, Mayham is certainly filled with surprises, of that I've no doubt."

Parker laughed a bit and shrugged. "I suppose that surprises are different for everyone," he mused, taking another sip of his drink.

"Like you," he said with a little smile. "I certainly didn't expect to walk in here and come face to face with one of the most beautiful humans I've ever seen."

"It's a well known fact," Kristine smiled, winking. It wasn't but it could very well be for all she knew.

And there he went, surprising her once again. Ducking her head a little, but still smiling, Kristine laughed. "Right, I'm sure you say that to all the girls," she quipped.

Grinning, Parker shook his head. "Only to the ones that deserve it, luv," he promised, impressed that she hadn't even blinked at the term he'd used.

Pulling a rather dead flower from a vase on the bar, he held it in his hand and a shimmer of gold dust littered the bar top before he passed her the red rose, now in full life. "For you," he smiled.

"I see," Kristine replied, nodding slightly.

She couldn't help but smile brightly at what she'd just seen. That was quite impressive. "Thank you," she replied quietly, smelling the rose.

Kristine found him to be quite the charmer.

"You're welcome," he said in an equally hushed tone, letting his fingers trail over her own as the rose was passed over.

Looking up and down the empty bar, Parker smiled. "Come on, dearest," he begged. "Pour yourself a drink and come sit with me. It's deader than tombs in here, I'm sure no one will mind," he wheedled.

Kristine wasn't so sure about that, though what harm could it cause? She was sure Mari wouldn't mind, not if it was brief. Besides, Parker was right. There was no one else around at the moment.

She smiled, shrugging slightly. "Why not," Kristine decided. "If only for a bit," she didn't want to neglect any other patrons that might show up. Grabbing herself a drink, and making sure it wasn't anything strong, she was on duty here, Kristine came around from the bar. She took a seat next to Parker, wondering what had compelled her to do this. "How's that?" She smirked, chuckling a bit. She really hoped Mari wouldn't be mad. "So, you know a bit about me, what's your story? Aside from what we've all ready discussed."

Hey, she was curious!

"Lovely," Parker smiled, and then watched her as she fixed herself a drink and then sat next to him.

"My story?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow before taking another sip of his vodka. "Which one do you want, dear?" he asked, pushing a lock of Kristine's hair over her shoulder. "There's the single bloke in a bar story...there's the lawyer in a small town story..." he teased.

Setting down his glass, Parker ran his finger tips along Kristine's kneecap for a moment, thinking. "I suppose the short of it is that I came over to this realm to make things easier on the people I love the most," he shrugged, lifting his head to look at her again. "How does that do you?"
