Who: Ellesandra and Jamie
When: January 9, mid afternoon
Where: Jamie’s house
What: An ass kicking
Rating: TBA
Status: Incomplete

Ellesandra spent the majority of her morning working on a potion for Ailsa, to help her regain her strength from the ordeal she’d gone through, and then left it on Sebastian’s doorstep, along with a voicemail informing him of such. Then, it was time to seek out her Fae friend and find out exactly what was going on with the close proximity to the vampire that, up until the night prior, Ellesandra had been assured was not getting near Jamie again.

Striding up to her friend’s home with a sense of purpose, Ellesandra went up the walk, and as she lifted her hand to knock on the door, realised that Julian was inside. Letting out a low growl, she hoped that he’d keep himself occupied, as she really didn’t feel like setting fire to the whole of Jamie’s house. There was a sharp rat-tat-tat on the door and then Ellesandra called out. “Open, or I will do it myself!”

Jamie'd really like it if the house wasn't burned to ash. She'd spent a good deal of money having it built to her specifications. And while she wasn't lacking the funds to rebuild it, it'd just be a royal pain.

There was a faint groan from the Fae at Ellesandra's warning and a few words to Julian to keep him upstairs and out of sight. She knew she'd eventually have to let the witch know Julian was in a little higher standings now and possibly explain. She had just hoped that it would be a little later in the development.

A moment later the fully dressed red head opened the door, moving aside in the same movement to not get trampled by Ellesandra who she was sure would come in. "Good afternoon, Elle." Her voice was cheerful despite the lecture she was sure she was getting. "Care for some tea?"

"Tea?" Ellesandra repeated, stepping in the door without her usual greeting or kiss. Jamie had to be joking. Here she was, shaking up with a vampire of all things. And not only a vampire, but Julian.

Her coat came off and Ellesandra sent it in a wave of air to the hook, not bothering to stand on ceremony, and then wheeled on Jamie, her hands on her hips and her stare level. "He makes your home stink," she said, wrinkling her nose a bit. "What has come over you, Jamie?"

Jamie nodded because she'd made tea a question. Once Ellesandra was clear of the door Jamie closed it gently. "Yes, tea. You know herbs in hot water?" She responded easily, knowing very well that she was stalling.

Jamie gave a small lift of her shoulders. "So does Sebastian with Ailsa's. I don't think that you ever really complained about that." She turned and moved towards the kitchen, sure she'd be followed. "And I don't know. I've missed him, alright?"

"Har har," Ellesandra shot back, shaking her head as she followed her friend into the kitchen and leaned against the counter, her eyebrow raised to an alarming height.

"Firstly, I never go to Ailsa's if I can help it, and I certainly stay away from that..." she trailed off, buttoning her lips. "Missed him," she repeated, running a hand down her face. "So what is this, Jamie? A fling? A 'old times sake'? Or is this for real, because I'll not see you hurt again," she warned.

Jamie nodded. "I heard something about him bleeding on your floor?" She tilted her head with a raised brow. The him being Sebastian, the who she heard it from being upstairs. She moved about the kitchen a little setting up water in a kettle to boil for tea.

The last bit had her pause in her motions of getting Ellesandra's favorite tea, arm outstretched just to be pulled back so she could turn and look at her friend. "We're still hammering out the details." She said seriously, not beating around the bush. "Right now? I guess you could call it a fling?" She gave a sigh and shook her head. Turning back to get the tea, "I promise I won't get emotionally involved unless it's for real. Okay?" She set the tea lightly on the counter and moved to get mugs. It wasn't just a promise to her friend but a promise to herself as well.

Ellesandra scowled at the memory. "That was all him," she insisted. After all, she went with much more fun methods of torture. "And he deserved the burnt hand print he got afterwards," she added with a little smirk. It really was too bad that Ailsa had gotten in the way.

She saw the pause and readied herself for the worst, sighing a bit in relief when Jamie promised her she wouldn't get in too deep. After all, she knew that wasn't something Jamie took lightly, with her inability to lie and all of that. "Fine," she said with a nod, moving to the stove and filling the kettle with her finger before lighting the fire under the grate.

"So. How bad was last night?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

Jamie's brow rose, though there was a faint smirk to go with it. "The burnt hand print I didn't know about," She murmured as she set the mugs down and then turned to lean against the counter.

Tilting her head thoughtfully, she watched Ellesandra. "It wasn't as bad as I thought it might turn out." Jamie gave a shrug. "Demon talking through Ailsa, tried to get at Matt, caused the scratches you saw, turned on a wind show, and then turned to smoke and left." She made a face at the last thing. "Tasted awful, never want to taste that again."

"Well, I don't suppose he'd go gabbing," Ellesandra shrugged. "Chalk it up to the fact that his ego needed to be put into check," she smiled.

Ellsandra listened and nodded. "Then it could have been quite a bit worse, from what I've heard," she mused. Her stomach practically turned at the thought and she shuddered. "One of the many reasons why I wasn't there. Even being there afterward..." she trailed off and shook her head. There was a reason why she was using the stove to heat their water, after all.

Jamie gave a soft laugh. "Most vampires need their ego checked every so often." She made a small motion. "I think it has something to do with the was human, now they aren't thing." Having never been mortal, there was a faint unsurety to her statement, but that was what she was chalking it up to.

"I'm glad it wasn't worse." Jamie commented softly. Partly because there was a human among the group at the exorcism. She gave a small nod at the trailed off sentence. She knew. "Is she going to have to cleanse the apartment or will the taint eventually leave?"

Ellesandra smiled lightly and shrugged. She hadn't a clue either. But, whatever it was, it needed to be breded out before things got out of hand.

"I went by and opened the windows before I came here," she said with a little nod. "But, when she gets back, I'm going to give her a few handfuls of sage and lilac to burn. Should help."

On some occasions, things did get out of hand. And they and their kin were usually the ones that cleaned up the mess afterwards.

Jamie nodded. "Good. Good." She shifted a little, moving the mugs a little more towards where they'd need to be when the water was properly heated. "Don't want that place to be a beacon or something because of what was taking up residence there." All they needed was another demon in town.

Snorting a bit, Ellesandra nodded. "Honestly, that vampire should just turn her and get it over with. The girl is going to get herself killed, between her affinity for trouble and her inability to keep her mouth shut."

The water boiled and Ellesandra poured their mugs full, letting the tea seep for a moment or two. "So, speaking of, how did this whole thing start?" she asked, jerking her head upstairs.

Jamie tilted her head to the side slightly. "And yet, turning her would just let her open her mouth the bigger and badder things this world conceals." Jamie gave a shrug, "Though it would make her harder to kill." She eyed Ellesandra a moment. "Would you still talk to her after she was turned?"

Jamie gave the fainted of smirks. "How is that speaking of?" Her hand wrapped around the handle of one of the mugs after it was done steeping. "Ran into him one decade or another while I was traveling." She shifted a small shoulder in a shrug. "I fascinated him because he'd never met or seen a Fae before. He can be quite the charmer when he wants to be. We've never had anything serious-serious, just when life and the world put us in the same place and the same time are we together."

"And, I think at this point, that is all we can ask for," Ellesandra said with a sigh. Ailsa really was not only tempting Fate, but poking it in the eye with a sharp stick. The question made her crinkle her brow, and Ellesandra gave a faint shrug. "I don't see that there will be much call to," she admitted, attempting and failing at being tactful. "As long as she doesn't take any more after her sire than she already does, I don't see why not."

"Ailsa's vampire, your vampire..." Ellesandra started, and then waved it off. It didn't matter anyway. "No, I know all of that," she reminded her fried. "I mean, why is he lurking upstairs like a whipped child when just a couple of weeks ago, I was offering to turn him to ash?" she asked. "What changed?"

Jamie listened, nodded, and after blowing on the tea faintly, she took a sip from her mug.

"Ahh." Jamie murmured, "yea that." There was another small shrug. "He's upstairs lurking because I knew you wouldn't be happy seeing him face to face. And what changed is that when Ailsa needed someone to help with something that had gone wrong she not only asked for his help without hesitation, he came running. No questions, not hesitations, just helping."

Ellesandra listened, nodding a bit, and then took a sip of her tea. "Well, leopards don't change their spots, or whatever that stupid phrase is," she warned.

"I'd just not like to see you hurt, Jamie. The clean up from ashing a vampire is such a chore," she admitted, with the faintest hint of humour in her voice.

Jamie nodded. "I know. I know." She gave a small sigh. She didn't know the exact phrase either, but she got what the witch was saying.

Jamie gave the faintest of smirks at Ellesandra. And a muffled from the second floor shout, "I heard that!" Sent Jamie into a small fit of giggles. "I promise to be careful." She took a deep breath, a faint heaviness appearing to the air to sound buffer the next few words from the vampire upstairs. "Right now it's because he's close. Who's to say the new-ness of getting back together won't rub off. Or he won't pull what he did last time. I don't know. Which is why I'm doubly trying to be careful this time."
