Goddess of the North Sea
Rán can shift her form from a human (Asgardian) build to that of a mermaid or other similar quasi-humanoid creatures of the deep. She's tested her limits over the years, and cannot shift into something as large as a blue whale or the like, but she can change into things much larger than her actual, true body mass.
Water Manipulation
She is the mother of the waves.
Skills (Occupational)
She ferries drowned souls to Helheim.
Skills (Recreational)
She's a good swimmer? She likes to be around water creatures and speaks their languages openly and loudly if necessary... She's a decent sailor. Her singing voice is bewitching, go figure.
Early Life
She was a maiden of Asgard and was promised to Ægir by Odin to keep the peace early on between the Jötunn and the Asgardians. That never works, though. Anyway, she was bestowed a goddesshood and was named Goddess of the North Sea, which was inhabited mostly by worshippers of Odin on Midgard. She primarily lived wherever her husband's travels took him, as he was the God of the Sea (in general) and their fluidity knew no bounds (ha).
Teen & College Years
Gave birth to some babies. Nine. All girls.
Adulthood
This is a thousand-year span. What would you like to know? She traveled the realms, raised her children, served the Aesir and tried to stay out of the line of fire during various testosterone-fueled wars.
Five Year Plan
Get the fuck out of Helheim.
