Rhiannon was relieved when the King and newly minted Queen of (Vernal) Asgard rose from their seats and made their exit. That was that then. The party was officially at an end and she was more than ready to get back home. She, along with the rest of the guests, followed suit. Rising from her own chair, she wobbled on her feet but caught hold of Pétr's arm before she had a chance to take a tumble. That would've been a less-than-ideal end to her evening -- err, early morning? Time was weird. Once she steadied herself, she relinquished her friend's arm and managed to walk unaided towards the designated exit.Rhia wasn't drunk. Honest. No, really. She wasn't. She'd imbibed about two sips of champagne and promptly returned to drinking something non-alcoholic. Champagne always looked so good but tasted of regret and despair. Cheap, expensive; it didn't matter. The stuff was gross. Her unsteadiness came from a bout of sore feet. The funny thing was that they hadn't hurt before when she took a few spins around the dance floor with Rafe, Pétr, and a couple others. It seemed that when she'd decide to plant her butt down on a chair for a half hour, her feet finally realized she'd been wearing heels all day and decided to stage a protest. She winced a little with each step she took but just when the exit was within sight, a large object barred their path.A large, hairy, wild-looking ginger-shaped object. A man - no, a King. She'd seen him earlier but hadn't introduced herself despite her overwhelming curiosity about his realm, Alfheim. She felt there'd be a better, more appropriate time to speak to him. She inclined her head politely to the monarch-slash-deity in lieu of a curtsey. Technically, she didn't have to do any bowing or scrapping but she liked to be, at the very least, respectful.Rhiannon stood a little straighter after realizing Freyr seemed to be zeroing in on her, specifically. That was unexpected. Odd. Whatever. She glanced over at Pétr with eyebrows raised but he seemed as nonplussed as she. At the mention of her mother, a strange feeling settled in her belly - something akin to foreboding or anticipation. "How did you know my mother?" she asked, even though, deep down, she had a feeling she knew the answer. Her mother had cavorted with gods? She never knew that but then again, there was much she didn't know about her mother. Her grandmother had seen that the wool remained fully over her eyes.
