I, uh, don't know what people are up to this weekend but my art class is having a family and friends showing Labor Day Weekend. If you're interested you can come see some of the art I've been working on this semester.

If you'd like to come let me know and I'll give you the details. And if you want any of the art pieces just let me know. I'll make sure you get them after they've gotten their final grade.

Inquiring minds would like to know who names their kid Bucky? Is Bucky short for anything?

Can anyone recommend a gym or someplace with good self-defense classes?

I understand that this is hardly the time, what with the recent incidents with the Friends of Humanity and classes resuming shortly, however, in light of recent events and indeed partially for personal reasons, I feel it is best to take a extended hiatus from both the X-Men and indeed teaching at the Institute.

I don't doubt you'll have a stream of suggestions from my colleague as to who can take over my classes.

Of course, I will still be fully available should I be required.

As I am aware just how quickly gossip spreads through the school, I'll nip it in the bud before it starts.

I'm take a leave of absence. I shall not be teaching this semester and I am removing myself from the active X-Men roster. I will be remaining in the city and will be entirely reachable, I'm just taking some time to reassess things.

I can be reached via normal communications or specific mental reach outs -please remember I do maintain an active social life and may be busy at times, but in crisis, naturally I'm available.

Well this is weird

Hi, so we've talked a little about transparency and trust and blah blah blah. So, I figured I should make the offer.

Recently there was some activity as one of the HYDRA bases that we assume handled the Winter Soldier program. It's been taken care of and the facility is officially completely shut down, along with all of it's ... tools. Anyway...

In getting there and getting out and stopping HYDRA, yet more blah blah blah, I've happened up on a certain file load. Most of it I've just straight up destroyed because it's disgusting and mentally scarring just for me I can't believe this stuff actually happened and I almost want to go back and punch more people but there's some of it relating specifically to you.

I haven't looked at it -seemed a little like peeking into a diary- but it's entirely up to you. You can have it, whatever it all is, if you'd find a use for it at all, otherwise it will make a nice bonfire in trash of my apartment. I don't want to just get rid of it if it's something you might want/need/get use of.

I don't even know why they'd keep some of this stuff though

I was wondering what people thought about the musical Hamilton. I've heard it's good but I haven't listened to it. Seems kind of like cheating to listen to a musical before you see it.

So, if anyone's got thoughts I'd like to hear them before I go see it.

I've decided to take a position with SHIELD and assist Carol Danvers in the rebuilding of the organization. I think it's what Aunt Peggy would have wanted me to do. Maybe here I can help make it the organization she wanted it to be. That said, I won't try to sway anyone to join me, I know there are a lot of valid reasons for people not to want to be a part of it.

So I made the mistake of going through the mail at the Avengers compound (read: we need a secretary and I need a new book). The hate letters, I don't mind, especially the one that turned the letters of AVENGERS into a rude acrostic poem. That one's going on my wall.

The disturbing things are the gifts.

Scott - I don't know how you already have mail, but you have approximately 60 fan letters and an Antman portrait made on a grain of rice. It's impressive.

Clint - There are so many Merida, Katniss, and Legolas figurines that I lost count. I'm going to just give them to you one at a time. In interesting ways. There are also fan letters, strangely.

Rhodey - I don't know if you know how many people you inspire, but you have 617 fan letters and two dozen pictures of kids and adults dressed as War Machine. There a quite a few drawings, too.

Wanda - Kids love you. So many drawings, homemade figurines, and invitations to birthday parties that it puts the rest of us to shame. You also have 3 plane tickets to come and visit fans and show them how to do that 'hand thing.' Do not accept.

Steve - I know you're not with us anymore, but you got the bulk of it, Cap. Letters, tickets to baseball games, drawings, homemade t-shirts - you name it. Come and pick it up or I'm bringing it all to your apartment myself.

Bucky - You got your own haul too, Barnes. Lots of fan fiction of you marrying random strangers and/or Steve. Congratulations.

Jessica - Apparently people think you're an Avenger? Anyway, I'd give these letters to your lawyer, because there are tons of testimonials about Killgrave's influence, thanking you for getting rid of him.

See what I mean? All of that love. Disturbing.

I talked to Clint and Nat about this but how do people feel about a pot luck?

I was thinking originally just the Avengers but maybe everyone. We could all use a chance to talk and get to know each other. More and more people with abilities are stepping up, stepping forward, we should get to know who we're working with.

I mean, I'm still retired but I don't mind hosting. Though I probably can't fit everyone in our apartment.
