NPCs: --
Location: Brooklyn, Kings County - NYC
Timeline: 5/10/13 [backdated]
Description: On the hunt for something interesting and cheap to have for lunch while sharing secrets.
Rating: PG-13
Maybe Brooklyn was further away from Westchester than they needed to go in order to find someplace for lunch, but Remy figured they didn't have to limit themselves to Manhattan or the Bronx. Eventually he'd like to see Staten Island, too. He heard there were some nice places, not just to eat, but of particular interest to a boy of his particular profession.
Kevin had seemed like an interesting person, and Remy liked to get to know interesting people. It had been second nature of him to suggest they go somewhere together, somewhere adventurous that they both weren't familiar with. Even ground, one could say. The best kind of environment to get to know someone new and get their measure. Besides, it was nice to get out of the school and stretch your legs now and then, and he couldn't keep dragging Haroun, who was much more focused and serious about his studies than Remy, away every time he had an urge to explore.
They had taken the subway and were now walking a street lined with restaurants of all varieties and mounting apartments above them that reached to the skies. Not quite as tall as the buildings in Manhattan or parts of Atlanta, where Kevin was from, but it wasn't the lazy river bayou country Remy was used to.
"Who was de first girl you kissed?" It was a round of questions and answers like a game between them as they explored. Remy kept his hands in his duster coat pockets and kept a steady pace beside Kevin. His unusual eyes were, as usual when out around humans, covered behind a pair of wire rimmed sunglasses.
