He'd stiffened, then compared himself to Emma. Eva waited though, for him to come around. He did... sort of. She smirked up at him after taking a glance at the kids he'd been gawking at. "I think so too, but that won't help us much." She wasn't about to go spinning this thing as a gift to parents. It was a novelty at best, in most cases. One last squeeze to Nate's middle and the queen moved on, coming around to the other side of the table where the younglings were splitting apart to go find their own food. She pulled one of Mateo's dreads in acknowledgment that he'd only playfully stabbed at his 'brother's' advance on his plate, then looked Rhia's way.
"I'm glad you decided to come," Zap told her, knowingly. "Didn't want to miss all this," she cast a hand out into the room in general, "merry chaos, did ya?" The queen did a side-eye to where Torben was being chatted at by Fjolnir, quickly. "Should I break that up? I feel like they're plotting," she smirked. "How're things coming along, by the way? In general." Not just with the impossible dream that was Fjolnir's cooperation.
