Being the medicine for what ailed him, Eva mystically transformed his heavy clothes into light and airy sleepwear. After several more tender kisses, his wife led him from the end of their bed to the side and forced him to lay - not that he put up much of a fight. She'd playfully crawled over him, which slowly brought a smile to his sunken face. When he rolled to his side to face Eva properly, his eyes flashed toward Nate - the Asgardian felt a rush of solidarity knowing the other man was there. Besides being another new king, a trusted ally, father to his stepson's greatest friend, Nathaniel was the only person who loved Eva as much as he did. The king could have been jealous or threatened, but instead he was bolstered by this. He was not alone in this universe and for someone who had recently been very alone, that was powerful - especially now.
Of course, Nathaniel was only the cherry on the sundae - Eva herself, his wife and his queen... Her loving expression in the darkness of their chambers - it mended the fences of his psyche. They'd been through so much in such a short time, they'd become each others' pillar of strength. "Yes," he answered, with the briefest of chuckles. "Our new triumvirate," Thor began from amidst a triumvirate of his own, "will not go into the night alone," he spoke of Heimdall's cover. "We've trapped it and we've released the hounds," Thor said of the demon who'd freely fed on their own. "Its next move... may be erratic." The Thunder God needlessly explained with foreboding in his voice. Though, he didn't want to dwell. That wasn't what this was for. "I love you," he reminded Eva, his hand cradling her face. "What would Baldr say if he walked in?" Thor teased, mentioning the god in the adjacent nursery - though he doubted the laid back joy-bringer would care.
