Thor's footfalls were heavy, literally and metaphorically. It hadn't gone unnoticed by the nurturing deity at his side. Once at the entrance to their chambers, Eva turned and faced her husband with a look she hoped was soft but not filled with pity. She opened her mouth to argue, but he addressed Nate, then dragged himself a bit further down the hallway and disappeared. This did not sit well with the queen. "That's disconcerting," Nate had gathered.
"More than." She cleared her throat after the long silence and allowed herself to be pulled closer to the bed. She was relieved when Nate stopped and sat, and even more glad when he began to suggest their duty to see in on Thor. However, she quirked an eyebrow at Nate's smirk but suddenly felt Thor's embrace behind her and understood. Nate's knees were on the outsides of her legs, his body in front of her. Thor had her blocked in from behind, but the Goddess of Magic still didn't feel trapped.
Her hands released Nate's and rose to smooth over Thor's arms where he held her, then the right hand lifted to slowly pet his light hair. "I love your unpleasant company," Eva confirmed to the Allfather. She turned her head so her lips could kiss his bearded cheek, then his ear. "C'mon," she urged and turned in his arms for a moment to get a better look at him. "You're going to change and go to bed." At that point, to avoid argument, the queen went full Fairy Godmother and put him in some soft, loose bedclothes, banishing his bestowal barn gear to the bottom of the basket far away in the closets. Behind her, Nate's clothes switched as well, being that he hadn't had time to pack.
Almost as an afterthought, she changed from her boots and things into a long, cozy sleepshirt and turned to gesture for Nate to lay down on her side of the bed. She walked Thor, hand-in-hand, to his side and took his face in her hands for a long, comforting kiss before she pushed him back so he nearly bounced back at her after hitting the mattress. The queen then unceremoniously hopped over him and claimed the middle of the bed. None of them truly did much 'sleeping' now, regularly, but they could at least get a bit of shut-eye and some comfort knowing their children were nearby and safe. "You told Heimdall to watch J'moy, right?"
