Once Heimdall had confirmed Nathaniel's signal, Thor and his brother Loki were Bifrosted away from their home on Asgard. The two gods appeared on a ridge, not far from where the souls of Helheim had gathered. The Allfather was delighted at the number of followers Nathaniel had been able to muster, something the former Hand of his Queen had insured from the beginning. However, Thor was mildly surprised when his very appearance was met by a chorus of cheers by the would-be army. "Friendly lot," Thor noted aloud then raised Stormbreaker into the sky for the onlookers.
His eyes scanned the crowd for the aforementioned Nathaniel, only to discover the deity of darkness was already airborne and doing battle with some dark riders on fell-beast looking demons... dragons. It was intense. Considering Odin had always been rather cagey on the details of Helheim, which made more sense in recent times, Thor had prepared himself to see things even he wasn't accustomed to. But it was also important for them to stick to Nathaniel's plan: the Midgardian wizards on the ground to ensure the quickly constructed army of Helheim found their way inside the gates of the stronghold... Loki's particular set of skills to sneak into the castle and release the most fearsome warriors locked up inside, battle-tested Asgardian's who only missed their trip to Valhalla because of Hela's treachery... and the Allfather... Thor gladly accepted the demotion from all-around leader to mindless wrecking machine. Even going so far as to promise Nathaniel if he unleashed the Allfather onto Helheim, he'd have much more rebuilding to do.
"Well, then," Thor told his brother, though his eyes never left the impressive gate that laid between them and the black palace. "Be careful down there," he started, not worried about Loki versus the demons. "Some of those old war dogs in the prison cells probably don't like you," he chuckled at the trickster, slapped his shoulder much too hard and leaped from the ridge. The Allfather landed in front of the gate, took a running start, and swung Stormbreaker like the axe it was. Lightning exploded, metal splintered, and bone shattered. The fifty-foot gate buckled and the doors fell into a heap where they had stood, which happen to be atop the Allfather. Momentarily buried, Thor emerged from the pile up with a signature bolt of electricity and raised his weapon toward the heavens.
From the air, the second dragon-like creature had just fallen, its wings damaged beyond repair and its pilot a headless corpse still secured to the saddle. Nathaniel turned back toward the castle, triumphant... but Thor had broken a wall and the peasants rejoiced. Fine. The God of Darkness wasn't bitter, in fact, he was elated that the battle for Helheim could start in earnest. He swooped down toward the collection of wizards and looked to the sorcerers, not Constantine. "The legion will follow you, get them to the castle and they'll fight to the last," he told Strange, Keech and Wong. "Once I've dispatched Surtur, most of our enemies should scatter," as villains typically did when their advantage was lost. More terrible noises from the other side of the walls. "Oh, did I mention trolls?" He added with a slightly apologetic smirk, then retook to the air.
