Nothing happened, at first. Then slowly the steed lowered itself to the ground. Nate blinked and carefully moved around the beast and pulled himself onto his back. The horse stood and with one pump of its mighty wings propelled them from the dead forest. Nathaniel grasped handfuls of the black mane to remain atop the flying horse, but before they could breach the overcast sky, darkness surrounded them again. The creature's hooves clacked against a rather expensive-looking floor and the familiar smells clued Nate into their whereabouts. Free of his prison, Nathaniel's eyes adjusted to the lack of light and he suddenly noticed he could see, despite the atmosphere. His gaze went to Eva, who he realized could not see him - even with the light being emitted by Baldr. With a wave of his hand, Nathaniel returned the fires to the halls of Asgard's throne room and he slipped from the back of his noble ride. "Was I gone long?" he asked when he noticed the golden mask latched to his belt. "I made a friend," he began with a smirk toward Eva. "You said I was bad at that," he added and rested his back against his new ally. The shock and wonder at being returned made his footing uneasy because he'd started to lose hope.
