When Eva excused herself, Nathaniel's arms reverted to their normal habitat, folded behind his back. He watched her carefully when she walked away and took note of her physical tells. "Fascinating," he told no one but himself. The adviser was concerned by the lack of interest the queen had shown in their typical briefings (gab sessions) during parties. He quickly, and not that impressively, deduced that something was weighing on her.
Nate's eyes turned from Eva's form only to discover where Minor had gone. The astral bear was unsurprisingly light on his feet. He scanned the room, this being the rare gathering where Minor's form couldn't be easily traced. When the spirit animal wasn't predictably near Baldr or the dessert table, Nathaniel became more concerned. He needed to track down that bear; it was full of secrets.
