Oof. Nate had been torpedoed by a little Irish nymph, which had given Brayden enough distance to escape his father's physical reach. "Go, have fun." He told his son when the pre-teen turned to confirm he'd been set free. "But behave, boy." Nate pre-scolded before he addressed Gale.
"Oh. Nate. I didn't see ye there."
That was funny, he was sure they'd seen each other a moment ago. The wizard let that roll by unchallenged mostly because Gael amused him. When the tiniest Murphy commented on his outfit, Nate checked to make sure the butt tape had held his jacket in place... kidding. "They seem to be the style this year." Nate offered, a subtle clue that his wardrobe choice had been a slow-played troll on Eva.
"Yes," he acknowledged the critique on parenting, but again held his tongue. Brayden was fortunate, Nathaniel could think of far worse than a turtleneck. "Well, you look... lovely." Nate told her simply, though he did enjoy the synergy with her mutation. Gael placed the small lightsaber charm in his hand and the taller, but not darker, man stood momentarily speechless.
"Thank you, Ms. Murphy," he said after she'd already told him that he was welcome. "I shall... cherish it." Nate confirmed after he examined the pendant more closely. "Here." He offered and from beneath his shawl cape, he placed the necklace inside of his jacket pocket so that the lightsaber would be shown outside.
"Will we be hearing from Beverlie tonight?" Caltrops inquired more than just sheer curiosity, he actually enjoyed the Murphy cousin-fronted band. "Brayden requested to stay long enough to hear at least a couple songs."
