Thor allowed Eva's soothing and maternal nature to infuse his mind, body, and soul. Arms wrapped up with her, their child between them, gave every one of her words more gravity to the Asgardian. It even aided in softening her mention of his brother. The trickster had long been a concern of Thor, upon his decision to relocate Asgard on Midgard. "He will forever be my glorious burden." Thor paraphrased Loki, while he silently wondered where the Frost Giant had disappeared to. Also, when Loki would make his ill-timed return - because that was just what his siblings did.
Thor's expression shifted to something more skeptical when Zap brought up the possibility of inspections. The thought of outsiders pawing through their people's homes left a sour taste in the King's mouth. But he held his tongue because nothing that drastic would be decided today. But mostly, Thor did not speak on the matter because of Eva's next words.
"Odin's beard, did you just say..." Thor paused only because his broad smile had interrupted his ability to speak. His arms carefully pulled Eva into a cradle and then a carry, gracefully in front of his own body. Thor had proposed marriage and queen-hood to Eva even before they'd learned about their future as a family. But his love had been reluctant, for reasons Thor did not fully understand, though he did respect. Eva's new decision was one of the few things that could instantly remove the Senator's visit from his mind. "I love you, Eva Silvercloud," Thor informed her of what she surely understood already. "You are more of a queen than any of us deserve," he said, eyes flush with emotion. "And you honor me." His forehead pressed forward to touch Eva, while he gently swayed her and their son. "While our enemies attempt to discredit us, we will show them our best face. Yours. My love and the future of both our people." Thor kissed his now-fiance and sighed deeply in the moment to ensure it would never be forgotten. "We must tell the artisans and the poets. They must honor this new beginning with portraits and songs..." He hesitated and smirked because he didn't wish this embrace to end. "Later. I love you." He repeated, with enough magic in his heart to summon the Bifrost without any assistance.
