Tonks at St. Mungos
Who: Nymphadora Tonks and visitors (open to anyone who WOULD visit!)
Where: St. Mungo's
When: April 9, 1999
Rating/warnings: Probably G, but depends on who'll visit - could get higher on language with some.
Looking back at that sequence of events, Tonks grew more and more certain that she must really get a grip on her anger right now.
If she hadn't gotten angry, she's not have had that much momentum, and maybe when she tripped, she'd not have hurt her head that bad on that table corner. (Tripping was not something she thought avoidable. She could usually control the damage much better...)
But if only's didn't help the headache.
However, she was actually happy - finally, today, the Healers had decided that she was well enough for visitors. They promised to let her out in a day or two too.
The worst part of being stuck here? Wasn't the headache. Wasn't the dizziness, nor the fits of shivers (she knew it wasn't cold. Her body didn't seem to, though) that attacked now and again. Nor even the boredom (they'd not allow her to read. Bad).
It was the fact that she hadn't seen Teddy in all this time.
It was the longest period of time in which she hadn't seen her son, and it felt terrible.
So the first thing in the morning, when the mediwitch said she could have visitors today, was to send a Patronus to her mum to please come and bring Teddy.
Not that it was entirely impossible that the boy would be with his father (although possible wasn't the same as likely. Remus and Andromeda didn't exactly get along, did they?) but... she had to ask.
She'd not heard back yet, so she was sitting up in her bed, fidgetting, and impatient to hear news of the world outside this ward.
