[Someone does not look happy.]

Wake up and get on this thing, idiot. You couldn't have been snoozing for that long.
I've been asking around this place for you since I guess you've been so lazy that you couldn't even get off your ass long enough to do some digging for relevant data. I'm real glad that the second I'm out of sight you start slacking off, thanks.

Listen up. Starting today you're going to shut the fuck up about this Mother business to anyone who isn't me. If we want out, we're gonna have to make nice with the humans already living here for a little while and see what we can use from them. I'm cleaning up your mess as best as I can, and as far as everything else is concerned, you're my sad, brain-damaged little baby brother who doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about and can't do anything right.

And that's not so far from the truth, is it.

[Birdman's hand is pressed firmly into the side of his head. Despite the pills Cain left behind when Robin took him away, he's still in a lot of pain.]

If you've got anything helpful to say here, I'm listening. Otherwise you better not waste my time.

[He starts to turn away, probably to search for more pills, then turns back too fast, this time way too close to the camera, so much venom in his voice he's almost hissing.]

And don't even think of coming here. If you think I want to see your stupid face right now, you're even more out of your mind than what I've been telling people.

[private to Black Order members]

[ someone sounds tired; subdued ] Don't know if anyone else is awake, but-- [ longish pause ] Allen's... gone. Yu an' Two-Spot, too.

[private each to Alma and Kitty Pryde (AoA)]

... either of you awake?

((ooc: With permission! Also, if the DF dispatcher on shift wants to weigh in or consider themselves informed, it's a-ok with me. And any hackers are welcome; he sucks at tech.))

So it's been about a week now, and I've lost a bit of totally unnecessary beauty sleep, but I finally think I've whipped this annoying new code enough that it's nice and malleable and in utter submission to yours truly. As far as it's concerned I'm a scantily clad goddess in tall boots. Is there anything more satisfying?

[pause for the rhetorical question, because no. No, there is not.]

And I know you're out there, fellow grey hats. My people~! Let this be my way of saying "hey baby, we should hang."

[She turns on a moderate encryption, something that anyone with decent hacking experience will easily slip by. Those with more hacking experience will find the encryption elegant and creative, for what it is. She's not after only the cream of the crop just now -- she's looking for buds, not a hack-war.]

[Voice // Encrypted at 30%]

Here we go, a nice easy one to get people in the door. If you slipped that mini-net then, Hi! I'm Penelope Garcia, blonde bombshell and supreme information goddess. I'd go into my turn-ons, but hey, enough about me.

Hit me with your name, rank, and your favorite OS, darlings.

[Zero is currently camped out in the shooting range of the defense force. Between it and the stables, he didn't go home last night. The news he'd been given leaving him devastated, angry and confused-he'd needed some time alone to just absorb everything.

So many questions remain that need answers, but he was ready to face everything again and get them. First he has some questions for everyone in the facility. Pausing as the paper target flutters to the ground from his clean shot, Zero addresses the facility.]

You know how occasionally people will just fall asleep and have new memories added to their old ones? Sometimes it seems like you went home. Sometimes it is like you just fell asleep. Either way, you're left with two sets of memories. One from here and one from home.

Has anyone ever requested for any of the AI's to do it to them?

[The gap between them is problematic, but he's not sure what he wants to do about it. Does he really want to experience all that? The timeline he'd worked out so far with Yuuki had been helpful, but does he want more than that? Would they even allow it?]

[Her head’s pounding, but not even the headache or the branches in her hair can take away the cheer her memories brought her.]

I did it! I really did it. Kero-chan and Yue-san are safe now! And so is Tomoyo-chan and Syaoran-kun and, and everyone in the city.

I’m sorry for disappearing! I must have worried some people, but it’s okay! Even though I’m not at home, I helped everyone! I don’t have to fight Eriol-kun any longer or put anyone else in danger. [she takes a deep breath and smiles] Everything will surely be alright now.

[Some greasy fool in latex-looking overalls is trying to stare into the lens-portion of the communicator and not doing a good job because he is extremely walleyed and holy crap look at this dude.]

Hmm.

[He fiddles with the buttons on the thing on his ear, and the video feed phases in and out a few times. Visuals fade back in after a few more moments of him dicking around.]

Are we tuned in?

[Pause.]
[Then weird lopsided smiling.]

Hi there~

Am I the only one around?
The brochure says there's a "baseball" team, but I'm not so sure how old the brochure is, so. Sometimes you find old relics in weird places.

[The "brochure" is in a wadded-up ball behind him on the floor, so it's safe to assume he didn't do much reading.]

Could someone maybe set me straight, if anyone is around? I think I got a little turned around. Maybe sometime last night.
[Sure.]
And I need to get home.
[Right.]
Or I'm never going to hear the end of it.
[Whatever.]
