[Have a babe hanging around the swimming pool today, looking a bit distant and lost in her own thoughts. After a couple laps she pulls herself up on the edge of the pool and sits there wringing the water out of her hair while she contemplates...a few things.

These past couple of days have been hectic, that's for sure, but overall she's handled it pretty well. She wishes that she could have done more to help people, but unfortunately she doesn't have many abilities other than taking things apart and putting them together again. She pouts and then switches to thinking about Sam. Of course she's thinking about her boyfriend...and how she may never see him again at that.

[With a little groan and a shift, Kaoru finally stirs. He feels like crap. Everything aches a bit and his stomach wants to rip in half. He's never felt this bad in his life. Once the headset is on, the screen flickers to life, Kaoru rubbing his eyes and then his face. It's a scene people have witnessed before. His body is dotted with black stars. Only he doesn't know it.

He looks around, exhausted.]

[If anybody was watching the video feed they may notice the sideways image of a young boy who looks like he’d just been beaten up appear on the screen. It seems as though the communicator is just laying on the floor, unnoticed by said boy who is wiping blood from his lips and seemingly talking to himself.]

Like hell I’ll let those bastards lay a hand on Maka!

[He opens his eyes, and looks around, a confused and uncharacteristically angry expression on his face.]

What is this place? Is this a part of The Book of Eibon?

[He glares down at the ball and chain that's only on one of his legs.]

This place is repulsive. There’s absolutely no symmetry. It disgusts me!

[He walks out of the camera’s line of vision for a few minutes and when he returns, the video straightens out and he’s reading the welcome message all inmates get when they first arrive.]

[And with that, he closes his eyes again and takes a deep breath to calm himself down, thinking of ways he can get out and help his friends.]
