[ Those accustomed to a busy, if not hectic schedule such as Principal Lee should be kept occupied, lest their evil start showing. Ominously dark auras are unsightly and not pleasing to the Master and so he must find himself something to do and to share to keep said crazy evil in check. ]

Good day to you, Marina. If some of you may recall the last time I have addressed the network, I have spoken of culinary applications of flowers.

I have personally undertaken experiments since then and today, for those still interested, I would like to share the recipe I am following. [ And modified. ]

For those who would like to join me in passing time, please head to the Shelter Kitchen -- [ in such-such floor ] and I will be more than glad to share what I know.

Thank you very much for your time.

[Sesshoumaru is heading away from the spaces where the heaviest concentrations of people are gathering as Acumen's workers carry out their cleaning duties, but he isn't alone. A white dog trots at his side. Anyone who saw Sesshoumaru at the Pet Cafe the other day will recognize her as the dog who wouldn't leave him alone. He did indeed go to the trouble of adopting her. If asked why, he will claim that at least now she won't bark and whine every time he goes past the cafe, as she has no reason to raise a fuss if she's constantly at his side. In truth, he finds her company ... acceptable. She reminds him of the dogs of better breeding back home, and contrary to his public excuse for taking her in, is actually rather quiet, content simply to have someone to follow.]

[Graham's expression is serious, and understandably so. There's quite a lot to think about right now, and a lot to take in.]

To any comrades of mine who may have been brought alongside me here: this is Captain Graham Aker. I ask that you contact me as soon as possible.

[He would have ended this post right there, but he's been struck with another thought.]

To anyone else who may be listening... Do you accept this place as your rightful punishment? Or have you been wrongly imprisoned?

Would you say this is adequate justice?

[Sector 5 sees a lot of people over the course of a day. Many live there in houses or apartment complexes; many come there to shop for food or clothing; many come there to relax and have a meal; some even come for the entertainments offered by the bowling alley, the ice rink, or the Devil's Compass.]

[Everyone who might have passed through Sector 5 today is invited to thread out a chance encounter here, or a date, or a gathering of friends. Just tell everyone where your character is and what they're doing, and go!]

Yesterday's Halloween was much better than any I've had at home. Everyone looked so cute as children, or with their new ears. [laughs - mockingly? it's your guess] That should happen more often.

[and here's something new. she links her hands together and smiles sweetly into the camera] For all the new arrivals, welcome! My name is Road Kamelot. You're stuck here and you won't be able to get out unless Acumen loses you, but I'm sure you'll find something to occupy your time. And if you don't, I have a suggestion.

I'm planning on having a tea party at my house, you can't miss it - it's one of the nicest in Sector 5 - and I'd like to invite everyone! That is, everyone I like and who isn't a stick in the mud. There'll be plenty of tea and cakes of course, enough for everyone who wants to show up. Just tell me now if you'd like to, okay? That way I can start getting ready. It'll be in two days. I hope to see you there!~

[pause] I don't think I got your name but - I'd like to talk to the pretty man in charge of that guild of his - what was it - Brave Vesperia! [SHE'S GOT A JOB FOR YOU 8D]

[ooc: once again D.Gray-man cast is free to hijack and warn people that Road is evil or something, if they like. Defense force people please ping me first over here thanks!]

[at the convenience store and clothing shop, picking up some foodstuffs and clothes for Nill and her. geez, she feels so...domestic.]

It's strange. [P A U S E, okay yeah she's going to say something else.] You'd be lucky to get a roof over your head back home, much less food, and yet... You can do that here - and you can eat as much as you want without having to worry about money or keeping a job.

I never thought a life in prison could be...comfortable. [which doesn't mean she likes it, technically but][eyes trail over a pack of unsweetened chocolate. that reminds her :x] I could do without the tricks people play here though.

[private to Nill]

[switches to video just for her] I'm in the store right now. Do you want me to bring anything specific home?

[The video clicks on less than fifteen minutes after his arrival and his fun encounter with the bell tower. Never let it be said that Puck doesn't bounce back quickly. He's in fact smiling from ear to ear, his face uncomfortably close to the screen.]

Greetings, my fellow lifetime cellmates! What a perfectly lovely day to be abducted. So how's life behind the metaphorical bars? Anything of interest happened today before I got here? Talk to me! [8D!]

I would say I'd like a word with our dear overlord Acumen, but you can't fault a computer for following its programming, can you? Nevertheless, I expect someone out there who knows what they're doing is listening. [His smile remains as cheerful as before, but there's a pointed pause, as if he's talking about a very particular someone. Hey, where there's a computer there's a programmer, right?]

And with that in mind~ please know that I do have things to attend to elsewhere. Anything specific you were hoping to get out of this? I promise I'm very easy to get along with in that regard. Give it some thought~

[Here Puck takes off his headset, although he doesn't switch it off. The video shows him flying in a deliberately slow circle in what appears to be the park in Sector 4, humming as he goes. Then he returns to the comm, his face once again much too close.]

[And… still no one relevant contacting him. Boo.]
No dice? In that case you'll excuse me if I make up my own dialogue. [He theatrically clears his throat.] "Dear Puck. Since this is your new home, please enjoy yourself. I've brought you here specifically to liven things up."
Why~! [He tilts his head to the side in mock embarrassment.] You should've just said so! I'll get right to it.

So… [His smile grows almost wicked.] What shall we do first?

Closed Action for the people that expressed interest in this )

[[OOC: No pressure though if anyone who offered their character for this later decided they're not interested after all. And I hope this tl;dr-y post isn't too confusing, orz. Please poke me for clarification in the linked OOC post if it is.]]

[The first thing to be seen on the camera is a wall on which a small rainbow can be seen. Typically, this wouldn't be anything remarkable, but once the camera moves to show Tamaki it might become clear why he feels the need to show everyone - his skin is sparkling in quite an abnormal fashion. The typical reaction would probably be to panic, but Tamaki has decided to look on the bright side of the situation so he's showing off his new skin.]

Look, look everyone! Isn't it marvelous? While it seems that some of you have gone through some more unfortunate changes, I have been gifted with even greater beauty than I had already possessed. It almost seems unfair that I would be granted such a wonderful gift when there are so many of you who are being forced to suffer from such... regrettable side effects. [What caused these side effects, he's not entirely sure. But he has his suspicions that this wasn't actually just a gift from the heavens.] Ah, I wonder what other gifts I may have been graced with? It seems that my skin has also become harder, perhaps this means that I have also been given super strength!

[And that's where he will end the feed to go test out the possibility of super strength.]

[That talk with WV about pumpkins really gnawed on him - SO shortly after Acumen's morning announcement you get a second, more specific request.]

Oi. Anyone thinking about carving pumpkins - do me a favor and save the waste. You know... seeds, guts, rinds, whatever's left over. You can either drop it off in the Shelter kitchen or tell me where to pick it up.

Thanks.

[ACTION - NOON ONWARDS]

[Curiosity shrank the eggplant. The thing about eating memory-erasing jawbreakers is that they continuosly make you forget why you're supposed to stop eating them. And if you top that off with another magical piece of candy (like you do) you'll get... well. A nine year old blond thing scurrying around the Shelter trying to 1) not freeze his ass off and 2) find clothes that fit him better than the over-sized shirt he's currently stuck with.

tl;dr - jumping on the de-aged-memory-loss bandwagon. Sanji's nine in every aspect. ]

[There are two rather distinct problems Anri is having right now.

One, the sweater she is wearing is suddenly much too large for her, leaving her with swinging, flapping sleeves and the hem getting caught around her bent knees.

Two, she cannot reach the top cupboard in the shelter’s kitchen.

A bit of climbing helps her with the second problem but only drives home the first, and her efforts for getting toward the counter are a bit clumsy. It isn’t so bad until she knocks over a small row of clean drinking glasses, sending at least two of them crashing to the floor.

Feel free to come investigate the noise. Just keep an eye out for the quivering child cowering over the pile of broken glass, trying to pick it up in her oversized sleeves.

[all day she'd waited, sitting in elliot's room (on his bed, to be precise), flipping through the stack of books that ungrateful servant had left behind. he hadn't been in bed when she'd checked in late last night and she'd been tempted to go storming off in search of him (now that she was no longer chained at home, she had the freedom to go wherever she wanted whenever she damn well pleased) but she'd been just the tiniest bit tipsy, not to mention that her headache had progressively gotten worse over the course of the evening. so instead of staying up vigilantly in elliot's room.....she'd fallen asleep sprawled on his bed, sleeping in and (conveniently?) missing the chaos of the morning.

she hadn't left the room all day (except for a quick run to the ladies' room) because what if elliot returned while she was gone searching for him? but.....he hadn't and she'd reached the point where she was half-furious and half-worried sick. that servant had disappeared a few days before...what if elliot had gone and done something irrational? he always had been very hotheaded, and it was all the fault of that damn servant. him and the vessalius boy both.

that was probably what it was, actually. elliot had been brainwashed by that blonde boy - that boy he supposedly was friends with (she didn't believe that, not for a second) - to do something utterly stupid. with the servant out of the picture, the only one left was vessalius, and they always had been the enemy of the nightrays. it all made sense. but if that boy had done anything to elliot, she would kill him with her own two hands.

it's by sheer dumb luck and maybe the tiiiiniest bit of stalkery days earlier that the first (unlocked) door she shoves open happens to belong to oz himself.]

[good evening, Marina! As the artificial sun cruises on towards the artificial horizon and the shadows begin to lengthen, someone has finally finished setting up a small table outside of a lovely home in Sector 4. On the table, several different kinds of autumn vegetables, including beets, carrots, turnips, and and cabbage, are carefully arranged. The garden, seen behind the table, takes up what was once the large front lawn of the house. Around the base of the table sit a collection of ripe, orange pumpkins (of course).]

[WV is standing behind the table, wearing a beaming smile despite his arm still bandaged in its sling. He addresses the communicator:]

Greetings, fellow denizens of this prison! My garden was first begun and subsequently tended to in an effort to lead a more self-sufficient existence. I trust that you will all be inspired by its successful Earth cool-season yield. Please, do visit and admire the vegetables, and select some to consume in your homes.

[Atsuro is smiling down at his communicator, and pretending this morning didn't happen. There's just something about his smile, however...]

I'm pretty sure I heard other people mentioned Halloween over the network. [Gotta set up the context or something for this. Wait for it.] And it reminded me of all the usual Halloween stuff and tricks to scare people.

Which lead me to this... Have anyone heard of One Man Hide-and-Seek? It's a game for those brave enough to take on the unknown.

[Oh, a game. How bad can it be?]

Beware...instructions on the game )

So...anyone brave enough to give it a try?

[ACTION.]
[Asch has been pacing back and forth going for a walk in Sector 6 for the better part of a half hour, regarding strangers in silence and eying bots warily as they pass him by. On the one hand, he'd like nothing better than to give them (the bots) a piece of his mind, while on the other he realizes the futility of the situation. Better stuck in a cage with room to move than to be stuck in a cage and weighted to the spot.]

[Looks like he's doing absolutely nothing? Well, that's not entirely the case. He's been watching for who goes in and out of the training hall and waiting for a time when the building's largely vacant. After all, what he's about to attempt is pretty stupid dangerous.]

[Pirates like to drink. It's practically a prerequisite. Strangely enough, Marina's resident Strawhats haven't done much of that since they arrive but that is definitely about to change - they'll be spending most of the evening at the Devil's Compass, doing what pirates do best.

If you have the time, I was hoping we might meet and discuss the different festivities of our cultures. I know I promised to speak to you of the Fire Flower Festival of my world, and now that it seems the season of events is over I had hoped to have the time to keep good on my promise. Do let me know when you are available, though I advise against evenings as those are when I make my rounds.

[Action/Open]

[Later in the evening, Ashura is out in the gardens over by the koi pond, sitting on the edge of the pond and watching the fish swim, enjoying their bright colors and the sheer zen of them. He had a small basket next to him that held tea and a few sweet things to go with it. He quite enjoys the crisp weather, though he is not looking forward to the turn into full winter and blistering cold (well, not blistering, but he's used to being in a muggy rain-forest type land, so, yes, winter counts as blistering cold).

And though he is enjoying the zen, is quite open to conversation. He tends to enjoy that more than zen anyways ~]

[The feed goes to a little boy sitting in a corner, knees to chest and behind him is a semi-messy bedroom, but that's because it hasn't been finished getting fixed. But, there's a reason for it--and here's where you see Yuta wipe his arm across his lightly damp cheeks. No, those weren't tears, or at least he wouldn't admit it.]

[And a question from this melancholy little boy]
Does anyone here still have a family? What were they like? Do you miss them?

[What a thing for a criminal to ask, right?]

I don't think I can actually stand another day of this... [ His voice is strained as he tries to catch his breath. ] I know this is supposed to be some kind of a prison, but this... This is excessive.

[ He pauses, then adds: ] Not everyone that was here yesterday is here today, at least... It's weird when I think about it. I know why I'm stuck like this, but I don't understand what other criteria people are held to when they're chained like this; it doesn't really add up. There wasn't really a binding similarity in the kind of people we are.

...I guess it doesn't matter once we're released, though, does it? Aside from all this, everyone seems pretty free...

HELLO, MARINA. I'M R2-D2.

THE INCLUSION OF DROIDS HERE SEEMS TO INDICATE A LACK OF AN APPROPRIATE ALGORITHM FOR DETERMINING THE SEVERITY OF CRIMES AND APPROPRIATE PUNISHMENTS. BASED ON AVAILABLE DATA, THERE IS A 64% CHANCE THAT I AM HERE MERELY BECAUSE THE WARDEN IS LONELY.

HE'S CUTE, BUT MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION IS THAT HE'LL PROBABLY PLAY HARD TO GET.

Wow, this place is awesome! A rink, an arcade, a movie theater - ! And check this out - I'm even doing laundry! [anyone who has ever done laundry before will pale at the amount of detergent Gino is throwing in] Anya should totally be here to see this.

I wonder if this makes me a real commoner now. [god, that would be so awesome.] I can't wait to check the entire place out later. The arcade first, then the theater! [and then maybe an exit, but he doesn't think he'll be that lucky.]

[pause] You know what else we should have here? A casino! One with all those light up slot machines. Now that would be really cool.
