[Today is quieter around the shelter -- and there's less food. It's getting kind of cramped in here, isn't it? And boring. There are plenty of games and entertainments left over from the party, but everyone is gathered together and... finding things to do.]

Good morning, Marina! [Have a very smiley pink haired girl on your video feed!] For anyone I haven’t met, I’m Lacus Clyne and I’m very glad to meet you.

It seems as though we’re all going to be in the shelter today, so we should make the best of things. I was thinking that we should get together and have a big winter banquet! Anyone who wants to help cook should please feel free to come to the kitchens and assist, and if not you should still come and enjoy the food with us.

Dinner will be served at 5 in the main cafeteria, and after that maybe we could have fun playing games and watching movies together. I hope everyone has a good day, and I hope to see everyone at the feast!

I just learned that today is also Ritsuka’s birthday! To celebrate there will be a cake and some special desserts and decorations. [as many decorations as they can find without access to the store.] Everyone please, stop by to wish him a happy birthday!

Hey. [Always weird starting these.] So, the Devil's Compass has a pool table now if anyone is interested. There's a dart board too, [Thinking] and we still have drinks. It's the only place outside of the club you can get alcohol.

[Unlike yesterday, the house today is lovely, a fit atmosphere for a tea party~ The doors are wide open and anyone who wanders won't be pushed out. For now. All of the rooms are free for perusal, except two, and the living room is home to a long table, fitted with a tablecloth, as well as a platter of cakes. The room is helpfully lit up by the many floating candles hovering in the air. Just don't go touching them or you'll accidentally cut yourself~]

Good afternoon, Marina! Ladies, it's that time again~ Yesterday was so stressful, and it's been a while since we all gathered together, so head over to the spa for a spell! [ Jeanne's enthusiasm isn't quite at the levels it normally is for these, but she hides it behind her newfound energy. ] Today we are doing things a little differently -- and by "we" I mean my new friend Inara and I! She has a world of experience in things I could only read about in magazines, so tonight is sure to be a real treat.

Come on down to the public bathhouse, let your hair down, and get pampered just like you deserve! Hope to see you all there!

Good evening, Marina. Thanks to an inmate request, tonight we are going to observe a lovely meteor shower in the night sky using the star projector. I have arranged viewing areas on the beach with some light refreshments. However, you should be able to see the meteors from anywhere in the dome.

If anyone would like to see star patterns or other sky-scenes from their own worlds, please don't hesitate to contact me. If you have photos or descriptions I can make a program for the projector quite easily.

So how did everyone's dates go at the prom? [teehee] I realize it's long over by now, but I haven't had the time to ask, especially with all the new arrivals.

But I kind of miss it... I loved having the excuse to wear a really fancy dress. I wish I could wear dresses like that every day... [le sigh]



[well, time to finish setting up for Madoka's birthday party! it's a pretty modest affair in Orihime's house -- cake and cupcakes abound, with some little snacky sandwiches for anyone who wants less sugary food, and a few balloons and decorations. Yachiru made her a big decorated card and everything!]

[people who bonded with Madoka already are welcome to show up, and housemates Ukitake and Rapunzel are welcome to introduce themselves! Orihime kind of invited Yachiru and Madoka to stay with everyone.]

It is a peaceful morning in the Shelter. In the dome above, the artificial daylight cycle has not yet begun. The halls echo with the gentle sounds of early morning residents milling around and robots going about their business amidst the even, sterile glow of the artificial lights. Yes, all is quiet and calm...



Some will recognize that it is Sentience's voice -- not Acumen's -- that follows the echoing, whooping alarm that rings out through the halls of the entire Shelter and directs everyone to stay calm:

"Attention. Attention. An emergency has been reported in this building. Please, cease operations and calmly leave the building utilizing the nearest stairwell exit. Do not use the elevators. I repeat. Do not use the elevators!"

This continues on for many minutes, as denizens stir from their slumber or drop their meals and take to the halls. At least... it is expected that everyone follows the evacuation orders and strobe lights as directed. Elevators are non-functional for the duration of the alert. (But you can try to hack or override them if you want -- just expect someone to notice, later.)

As an added bonus: those in the kitchen and dining areas, sprinklers have activated, as that is the source of the disturbance. A perfect way to start your morning, right? (Don't worry -- there is a laundry cart with towels upstairs outside the exits.)

[It's BASEBALL DAY!

The artificial sun is shining. The birds are singing—okay, there aren't any birds, but if there were, they would be singing. And Marina is treated to a very late start to the baseball season. Everyone is welcome to watch and treat themselves to some of the snacks provided: soda, water, hot dogs, chips, cracker jacks, and pretzels!

Yuuri lost track of the fact their announcer was gone, so it is a quiet game this time. Well, almost quiet. There is a fifteen minute debate about an out of Touma's that looks like a home run until the ball ricochets right into an outfielder's glove. With teams like this you never know what can happen.

In the end it is the Purple Dragons who come out victoriously in a landslide defeat of the Flying Knights.]

Upon entering Sector 4, the very large tent that stands framed by the beach is quickly noticeable. Closer, one can see colors dancing upon the white sheets, like opalesque spires under the moving onyx sky. As you enter one of the wings of the tents, grass give way to wooden flooring, and chains of white blossoms and gold ribbons line the sides. The open dance floor in the center bids one to look up to whimsical white-gold lamps, balls of light dancing in seas of violet, blue, green and pink organza. The fabrics fall down pillars adorned with leaves and flowers. Tables set in white and gold with jewel toned flowers sit at the four wings surrounding the dance floor.

... but it is far too early to take a seat. Smile and greet your fellow attendee, take the hand of a friend, and dance to the music.



There are large tables with finger foods and punch (not spiked -- save it for the after-party!), and very little space near the walls (sorry, wallflowers! You won't get away so easily. ♥ )  After a large number of people are gathered together, Jeanne stands up on the small stage set to the side of the dance floor and taps on the microphone to get everyone's attention...

[ Thanks to Acumen's intervention, there is now a stage set up in one of the bigger parks in Sector 4. Volunteers and bots are bustling about making sure everything's in place and are helping spectators to their seats. Talents are backstage, making sure their costumes are alright, voices warmed up, instruments properly tuned and strung.

Please make yourselves comfortable, gentlepersons and gentlecreatures, as you all celebrate a night of music and laughter at the Marina Talent Show.

The night is not quite over as refreshments are also provided, and the equipment are still available for use, should you be inspired to pic up the mic for some prose or song, or dance to the lingering music~ ]

The Host Club would like to extend a welcome to all the new inmates arriving today. [Have a polite smile.] We sincerely hope your transition into your new accommodations proceeds smoothly and efficiently.

If you find yourself interested in meeting your fellow inmates, there are several events upcoming that may be of interest to you.

Miss Kohran Li has assembled a Talent Show this evening to be held in Sector 4, featuring dancing, singing, and a variety of other talents. And tomorrow will be the Marina Academy's first promenade, to be held in the park in Sector 4. Formal dress is expected.

For those of you planning to attend prom, the Host Club will be in the Athletic Complex if you should require basic dancing lessons, advice on the latest fashions, and anything else you might need to prepare for the upcoming event.

[Richie has been planning this for days now and he thought about just doing it himself, but he hadn't done a horror movie marathon by himself in years. Usually he and Virgil watched the movies together, talking over each other and criticizing whatever was on the screen.

So why not invite some friends to the fun?]

Hey, who here loves a good movie? A bad movie? What about zombies? Because I'm setting up a running of the Zombie Island movies at the theater and whoever wants to come can! If you've never heard of Zombie Island, then you're missing out. Nothing better than watching a good horror movie in the middle of the day, right?

[He laughs and scratches the back of his head.] I'll probably be starting the first movie in about an hour and I made sure that the robots have super extra buttered popcorn. Can't have a horror movie without that. Still thinking about whether or not chilli fries would be pushing it.

[He'll be inside the movie theater, getting the movies set up. There will be four movies, each one having a ten minute intermission between them running until after dark. Just follow the directions of the black poster sitting right outside of the correct room.]

[ sadly, Break does not like this division of power even if he's not wearing a chain. Actually, scratch that. It's only what he deserves for having all the cake in the dome at his fingertips which, shortly, will be remedied. Leaning over, un-chained Break snags a dainty little sugar coated thing from the top of the pile. ]

[ Break (the one with cake), despite being blind, feels that sneaky, sneaky hand approaching his precious cake, and in a fit of rage jealousy POSSESSION reaches out his hand (the one not currently occupied with a frosting-covered fork) and flicks this intruder who has so callously tried to steal his cake. ]

Ah ah! Get your own cake.

[ unfortunately (for the both of them), Break's aim is a little off today and instead of hitting the cake thief, he instead ends up hitting the precious plate of cake, sending a fat slice of cake (chocolate with whipped cream frosting and dainty little strawberries) flying into the face of the nearest person ]

[ fjdkskakl ] What the hell are you doing?! [ Fou turns, wiping chocolate frosting off her face and looking more then a little pissed as she leans over to give the nearest Break a kick in the face. Unfortunately, Break's reflexes are superb and he more then easily steps to the side. It's too bad really. All that cake is flying through the air as Fou's foot lands on the table. Such a waste... ]

[Starting from about mid-morning, the education center's craft room will be open and ready for the members of, and those curious about, the Sewing Club! Piles of fabric and patterns are there for those without inspiration, and of course, there are plenty of sewing machines open for those with it. There are also snacks and drinks set up on nearby tables, and relaxing but upbeat music wafts through the room.

There was a (handwaved) announcement earlier in the morning, with directions to the building and the room, so anyone is free to drop by and see what it's all about.]

[ An day spent at the ice skating rink was just the thing Jennifer needed! Sure, she had the party to go to later in the afternoon, but right now, her time was designated to her dear friend Momiji and his cousins. Hopefully they remembered their play date, but either way, she wasn't going let this opportunity go to waste! She'll just start off slow with a leisurely stroll around the rink. Nothing much, just a little! ]
