[Voice | Action]
[It's been over a day since he was found in the snow, and after a full day of rest at the hospital, his headache was mostly gone and the full range of his arm had almost returned. He still wasn't sure what had happened, but he... knew things now.

They had all... died for him.

He wasn't certain how he was supposed to feel about that.

But that was no reason to continue hiding. He had to leave the house sometime and after the headache had faded, the nausea had as well. Hei was nearly famished for food. So, wrapped up in his coat and a scarf, Hei's walking to the ramen stand. Food first, then groceries. But... flicking on his network device, Hei clears his throat.]

I, uh... What do you know about regaining memories you... don't remember having? I seem to have acquired some.

[His smile is embarrassed. He feels like he should know these answers already from previous examples, but none of it made any sense, still.]

((ooc: Throwing this up while I can, but I'll probably head to sleep as soon as this is posted. If you wish to action it up for a kissing-bot, please say so somewhere in the tag or a subject heading or ping me if you want it in the event post. Thanks!))

[He did vaguely remember something Amber said back when she first arrived. It made more sense now then it did then, but... it was Amber. How could he trust her?]

I'm afraid no one else is from my world. [pause] That I know of. Do you think this was all just an accident then? I thought Acumen was supposed to have better control over the process then this.

[Innocently asked, but this was something Hei's suspected was an imperfect mechanism for quite some time now. It had too much difficulty keeping its prisoners inside the dome as it was, and Hei was certain that many of those had no intentions of returning home if they could help it.]

I don't know if it was an accident or not. This place is known for having issues controlling everything all the time though. Some leave and never come back. There are system shut downs. It's been hacked...I don't know how many times now.

So the system might just be breaking down completely then.

[That was unsettling.]

I… don't suppose there's anyway Acumen would let us double check the system somehow for corruption would he?

[Hei wanted to go home (did he really, still?), not end up lost between dimensions.]

The system is fairly new. It's actually a replacement of the older system. The previous system was placed into a mechanical host and incarcerated.

[There's a slight pause.]

As were it's creators.

I'm not sure what Acumen would allow. I doubt it would allow you access to something like that, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

[Hei had actually been present for the changeover, but it was always interesting to get another individual's perspective.]

But then... shouldn't the, uh, previous system know what's going on?

Oh! Ah, I, um, actually wouldn't be the best person to look at it. [sheepish laugh] Maybe Lacus would be the better choice? She seems... competent with mechanical things.

...Sentience? It wouldn't hurt to ask. He might prove helpful. [About the rest of it, Zero doesn't know enough about Lacus to make that assessment.] I hadn't noticed. This place seems fairly advanced from my world, so I don't really pay attention.

[Mental note made to find Sentience.]

Yeah... the same for mine. I'm still getting used to this thing. [taps his communicator to emphasize his point.

I just find it more of a nuisance than anything.

It could stand a few improvements. It doesn't seem to turn-off very easily. [especially late at night]

I just find it inconvenient to wear as often as we do.

You don't have to wear it. Do you?

[Of course, then they might miss something important slipped into idle conversation on the network.]

It makes it easier to keep track of everything going on.

[surprised (not really)]

You make it a point to do that? Why?

Because I have a vested interest in keeping an eye on several inmates actions.

Is it anyone I should be worried about?

It's more of a general thing than specifics with me. I'm a vampire hunter.
