[They aren't exactly friends either. Any friend of Kaname Kuran could never really be anyone he trusted. Zero's words are calm, lacking emotion as usual. His eyes though tend to tell a very different story. It isn't for Conrad though. At least not yet.]

We are both a part of the Defense Force. Something strange happened that left you out of commission for a period of time and you don't recall what happened. I believe I'm well within my rights to question the supposed victim.

[Supposed victim? Now he's certain that it is an accusation, and it is more than a little difficult not to become angry. He manages to keep his feelings aside, however, long enough to say]

If Gino determines that I need to be questioned, then I will consent to whatever he decides. [He doesn't know Gino is gone, so.]. And I certainly would not do so over e network.

Gino is no longer here and you caught me on my way to bed after patrolling last night. My concern is primarily if you were attacked or if something else happened. There is the possibility that your memories have been tampered with. I can't very well investigate anything without determining if you are a victim of a crime or not.
