[Voice//Action | Open!]
[Kunou finds himself in the park, doing something very un-Kunou-like. Namely, playing with a machine. A robot cat to be exact, courtesy of Anissina. He is holding a remote and maneuvering the little kitty all around, making it pace, nuzzle, and mew seemingly at random. But he's improving! At least it generally does what he commands! Clearly there were some manufacturing problems.]

[Which means! Cue ~~evil~~ honorable samurai grin, the time has come!]

SAOTOME! Come forth, if thy cowardice can bear it, and face thy defeat!

	[He doesn't even hear Kunou anymore. He keeps screaming while the cat meows robotically in his ear, and he's too panicked to try to pry the thing off his face himself. [With a very cat-like hiss, Ranma grabs the cat on his face and pulls it away, then throws the cursed robot high into the air. He then leaps after it, hands raised with his fingers curled slightly inwards, and with lots of angry mewing, he claws the device into metal ribbons. He then lands nimbly on all fours, the pieces of the robot raining down around him, eyes on Kunou.]

Mrooowwwrrrr..!!! [hisshiss]

[If Kunou has any battle instincts at all, now would probably be when they tell him to run.]

[Racing there as quickly as she can, Akane's eyes widen when she sees the all too familiar look in Ranma's eyes and the way he is crouching over.]

Senpai? Oh no. [This isn't good. Whenever Ranma becomes so desperate that the Cat Fist is necessary, it's always very difficult to bring him out of it. Akane is the only person who has managed to do it in the past.

She rushes forward, her eyes flickering over Kunou for a moment before they shift to Ranma.]

Here, Kitty Kitty. [She calls to him similarly as she would a cat or a dog, putting out her hand and leaning over slightly in his direction.] Good Kitty~ Come here.

[Ranma pounces Kunou at the first opportunity and immediately proceeds to attempt to claw him to shreds, tearing furiously at his clothes to get to skin, mewmewmewing all the while. He stops only when he hears Akane's beckoning, blinking before turning to look over in her direction.]

Mrrooowwrr...??

[The scratching also turns to distracted batting at Kunou's face and arms, eyes glued to Akane, head tilting slightly.]

Awwww~ Come here. That's a good Kitty. Yes he is~ [She reaches into her bag, hoping she has something he'll want to eat. Crackers? She can try it. Akane pulls them out and smiles kindly at him.]

Do you want a treat? [She holds out a cracker in her hand, hoping that he's distracted enough not to break through Kunou's skin.] Come here, now. I'll take you back and get you some warm milk~

Mewmew..??

[Ranma tilts his head slightly to one side as his eyes move to the offered crackers. Then he glances back at his opponent/toy, which he's rather sad to find is no longer moving. Aside from the occasional twitch of a finger, anyway. And since that's not really that fun anymore, he bats at Kunou's face one last time before crawling off of him, moving slowly toward Akane.]

Mroowwwr~

[He takes one step. Then another. And keeps going until he's all but bounding toward her, then leaping into her lap with a loud mewling sound.]

[Akane laughs when he jumps into her lap, but she continues to speak in the same soothing tone of voice, sounding a bit amused by his behavior. Somehow, he's cute when he's like this.] Hey~ Calm down. [Holding the cracker closer for him to take if he chooses to, one hand moves up to the top of his head. She feels herself blushing, even though this is something she should be doing. To... to help him, right? Her fingers thread through his hair and she tries to hold onto her smile as she looks down at him, but she can't help but glance around to make sure no one else is looking at them.]

See. What a good kitty you are~

[No no, kitty is not interested in that silly cracker thing. Ranma's much more pleased with the warmth of Akane's lap, and he makes this quite apparent by purring happily as he settles in. He kneads his curled fingers into her thigh and the fabric of her clothes and nuzzles his nose into her chest. The feel of her fingers in his hair is also quite nice, and he mews his approval of it while leaning his head into it more.]

[Akane is warm. And warm is good. Kitty!Ranma approves wholeheartedly.]

[Letting the cracker fall to the ground, she moves one hand to rub his back while the other hand continues to stroke his hair. B-But... he's... oh...]

U-Um... that's... [Akane blushes. He's so close. And he's touching her in places that she would normally kill him for, under normal circumstances. Still smiling, she tries to control the shaking in her voice.]

[She's so busy trying to control the irregular beating of her heart that by the time she notices his face moving closer, Akane freezes. She blinks a couple of times, her breath catching in her throat.

It... wasn't the first time. But... but she's always wondered why... why her? Why is she the only person that he unconsciously allows to help him?

Taking in a shaky breath of air, her gaze lowers to him, and she cannot help but smile as she pets him again. She's sure that others would think this type of behavior is bizarre, but the truth of it is, this is one of the only situations where Ranma seems to need her. And only her. So she is secretly happy that she can be there for him, even if he won't remember it later.]
