Sasha (Athena)
[ Most of Sasha's morning had been spent arranging the spare rooms and furniture in her house -- the former because she was expecting people, the latter because one of said people was accident-prone and she hoped that her home would not be a source of pain for him.

Then again, it never hurt to have the first aid kit handy. She only hopes she does not have to use it.

An apron over a turtleneck sweater and a long skirt, she putters about her apartment, getting some ingredients ready: something for soup and some risotto, and tea ready to be brewed. ]

(( OOC: Sasha is expecting Touma Kamijou and Ritsuka. Your character, within good reason, can drop by as well and she is amenable to entertaining them with food and tea. Network calls to Sasha can be placed here as well. ))

The Tenth Doctor
[The Doctor has something on his mind, Marina, and it's something that he doesn't want to keep to himself. Is it important? Who knows? The Doctor could write a thesis on the significance of toothpicks if the mood struck him. What is important is that the Doctor is in the mood to share, so on goes the communicator, and he's off, following the latest tangent to get stuck in his enormous Time Lord brain.]

Spring cleaning! Well, all right, winter cleaning. It's a brilliant idea, seasonal cleaning. Spend a day or two picking up all of those odd jobs you left off doing until you can't ignore them anymore. I never do spring cleaning, or winter cleaning, or cleaning in any other season you might think of. Too domestic. I'm rubbish at domestics. Besides, have you ever tried to clean a time ship that's bigger on the inside from top to bottom? It's next to impossible. You'll forever be missing rooms that she's moved about and getting lost in the archived sections and distracted by stuff.

[Believe it or not, he actually did stop to breathe once during the entire speech, but only once. Respiratory bypass systems: they're dead useful when you don't want to stop talking long enough to top off your oxygen supply.]

[Lavender eyes open slowly, and it doesn't take the person they belong to too long to realize that the current surroundings are unknown; this is certainly not the church Crona had been in last thing zie remembers, and instead zie's outside somewhere unfamiliar] Eh... Where am I? [Crona huddles into a ball, feeling cold, gazing with fright at the sight of the ball and chain on zir ankle before yelping when the communicator on zir head – which zie hadn't noticed until right then – turns on and begins explaining everything]

Is this... a prison? I-I don't know how to deal with that... [Crona stays huddled there for what seems like quite a while before Ragnarok decides to show himself (or maybe it was only then that he was able to, he looks weaker and smaller...) as he appears from Crona's back] Stupid Crona! Stop being lazy and start trying to get us out of here! [The small black and white figure uses his fists to hit the other over the head a few times, jostling zir and causing the video recorder to turn on purposefully, though Crona is oblivious to it] W-What am I supposed t-to do..?

Get someone to tell you how to leave! [Ragnarok looks angry and Crona shrinks away from him, though it's futile since he's a part of zir body. Zie decides to hide zir head in zir arms. Anyone watching through the video feed would probably only currently see a rather odd looking black, with a little bit of white, shape with a blur of pink on top, because Crona is still 'hiding' in what appears to be an alley between two buildings. Ragnarok is behind zir, not visible at the moment] I d-don't like this...

((OOC EDIT: Please take a look at this if you are confused by my now and future use of genderless pronouns!))

[ For Mikado, the boy has spent the past hours doing a number of things.

1. Promptly freaking out, ripping the thing off of his face, and trying to find something familiar in the place he woke up in. This has failed.

2. Belatedly noticing that there was a... welcome basket? Okay... near him. This had a pamphlet in it.

3. ...Upon further notice, this pamphlet seems crazy. Or some kind of fiction. It's not as if-- This caused him to stare out the dome windows. He was really under the ocean, wasn't he? Ah.... Oh. O-okay. Sure. Why...not....

4. Looking over the brochure more carefully. Britannian? Now that… wasn’t something he knew. And this was supposed to be written in it? Cue angling the paper and squinting to see if anything changed.

5. …Oh. A communicator. That was the thing he ripped off. Hm. Let’s see….

He plays with the setting for a moment, adjusting to the controls. When he’s done, it connects, the sight of a younger, somewhat nervous boy appearing. Surprisingly, though, there’s a bit of excitement tucked at the edges of his eyes. ]

Ah, I… I’d like to thank to people who made the brochure. It was, um…. [ A lot to take in. Still debating the fact or fiction of some of it. ] Helpful.

[ He gives a quick smile, then it fades from nerves. ] Uh, so. Once we’re here. What are we supposed to do now?

Gilbert G.P. Guilford
[ Surprised to see him again, Marina? You should be. That makes at least two of you, as many things are a surprise to Guilford at the moment, starting with the fact that it was far too cold. He is utterly unprepared, dressed in a simple long-sleeve button-up shirt and slacks, and he is all but shivering as a robot looms behind him; between him and one of the Shelter entrances.

Also, he appears to have... sunglasses on? What's up with that?

Someone is unhappy about a lot of these facts, not least of which being the greeting he had just finished reading on the device he was now using to address all of you. ]

Someone explain to me why this infernal contraption will not stand aside and allow me passage to the underground quarters. [ His teeth are on the verge of chattering, but one can't tell because of how tense he has his jaw set. Yeah, he's just a little mad at the moment. Can you blame him? ] I was led to believe that there would be available rooms, and I would like to have the moment to evaluate my... situation. [ If one looks closer at the hands as he has his arms folded over his chest, clinging to himself for warmth, one can see the tip of a welcoming pamphlet clutched in tense fingers. ] Precisely how long will this "annual cleaning routine" last?

[ In a low tone, he wonders aloud as he gives the robot another sidelong glance. ] —and why is it so bloody cold?

(OOC: Please ignore lack of sunglasses in most icons, but assume they are present for the next several IC dayweeks!)
(ETA #2: For those of you reading at home, I had to retcon the "Nunnally as Empress" parts, so please keep that in mind when reading these threads. She would be referred to as "Ambassador" instead, and any awkwardness resulting from the former title should be discarded. Thank you!)

Kurama
[Apparently, Kurama had no difficulty whatsoever in locating a place to stay after the Shelter's evacuation. He looks quite comfortable, seated behind a desk in what appears to be a modest study area. He has in fact claimed a small residence in Sector Four for his own, chosen for its proximity to the parks. Personal touches can already be seen in the several tropical and flowering plants he has growing on the windowsill. The space is otherwise largely empty. Kurama may be efficient, but even he can't furnish a home to his personal standards in less than a day. The purpose for his transmission has nothing to do with the move, however, and he quickly gets to the point, his hands folded on the desk in front of him, his expression calm and reassuringly confident. This is someone who most certainly does not suffer from either shyness or hubris.]

Good evening. My name is Kurama, and I hope you will spare me a moment of your time while I make a brief announcement. For those who may be interested, I will be offering a course in the mythologies of Earth at the Education Center in Sector 2. Class will be held in Room 7 from nine until ten in the morning on days ending in one and five. Students are welcome to join the course at any time. Please bring any materials you may require to keep notes. All other materials will be provided to you as needed. I ask that anyone who wishes to contribute to the subject matter of the course contact me to discuss the particulars.

The first class would ordinarily be held tomorrow, but, in light of Acumen's cleaning activities, has been postponed until Day 151. Until then, I am happy to entertain any questions you might have.

Thank you for your time.

[ooc: For anyone who wants to look at the "official" course catalog entry, it's here. Sorry I didn't post the link sooner!]
