[Annoyance] OPEN ACTION
07 August 2010 at 10:06 am
[Uther is alert right now, staying inside, but still knowing the mysterious creatures are moving about. He does not yet know if they are magical or mundane, but he is wishing it were possible to obtain weapons of some sort.]

How do we dispatch these creatures when the majority of us do not have anything to do battle with? I am aware that it would likely be deemed dangerous to allow weapons in here, but is there not a way we can temporarily obtain some sort of protection?

[He wants his sword really badly right now.]

[Shiiiing. Shiiiing. Shiiiing.

She's honestly not being a hero this time - she promised the two most important people to her in this prison that she wouldn't, and she's keeping her promise - but they just keep coming and although they can't hit her, they've pretty effectively blocked her from escaping. The attacks are short and sharp, so her energy isn't wearing down at all, but she knows her AT Field has a time limit.

Finally, in desperation, she dives and rolls between the legs of one of them, her AT Field narrowly blocking a whip of its tail, and bursts into a sprint. They will likely catch up and corner her again, but she's got enough adrenaline pumping through her body to get ahead for a few brief seconds. If only she can find shelter -]

[Ushiro's voice comes across the communicator as he hits the ground and it gets turned on.]

-- off! I said get away -

[There's the sound of him punching something, and then him hissing as he hurts his hand.]

[And then he cries out in pain.]

Dammit!

[[ooc; Ushiro is in sector 4, in the park. He's not superhumanly strong, and has no real way to fight off the raptors.]]
Audio; action (late into the night)

[Crazy, insane laughter rings into the feed of the communicator when it's turned on, the sound of monsters being burned/electrocuted serving as an equally disturbing backdrop.]

I love this!! Why can't we have more days like this!? Bring one, bring them all! I can take them! [The sound of another thunderbolt, or something like it, crashing down at a monster. Maybe the monster hit him, because there's a sound of clothes and perhaps even flesh being cut into, but if it did he shows no sign of pain; instead he laughs.]

Princess Zelda
One who gains the eye of truth will be able to see what is hidden in the darkness. )

[Without warning, the closest Lizard swipes at Zelda with its claws. The barrier-cloak protects her from the worst of the damage, but she is still knocked to the ground. She screams and covers her face with her hands, but somehow she manages to keep holding onto the Lens of Truth. The rest of the pack now attacks, and while their bodies still disappear when Zelda uses the Lens, their blows obviously do not. The barrier starts to weaken, and Zelda realizes the danger she is in and calls out in a panicked voice.]

Link...!! [The cry is automatic, but also useless. He's no longer in the prison.] Please, someone! I need help!

((OOC: Slightly backtimed to just a little while after Faith's post. Rescue action is CLOSED to Sakamoto and later Suzaku.))
Location: Between the Shelter and Sector 2

[ Right, okay, so this was not how she planned her night.

Having a big mess of limbs attack you is quite frightening, indeed. Gaap is not screaming, however, not yelling or questioning why the monster is even around-- she just snaps her fingers to have the disgusting thing disappear, falling into the pitfall that appears underneath it. Another snap of her fingers and she herself falls through a pitfall, reappearing in Sector 1, on some unknown road. With a sigh she turns on the video function, not smirking as she usually would be. ]

Could you bother to tell me who's the fool that let these things loose? They're not -- [ cuts herself off as she spots a -- the lizards approaching. Snap, snap, snap, they're gone, and thrown somewhere else. ] - As I was saying, they're not exactly friendly. But I'm sure [ smirks slightly ] all of you already know that. [ a pause as she looks around, and when she doesn't see any more she lets out a breath of relief. ] ... Not that I'm complaining -- although they are quite troublesome.

[The food at the shelter had been getting a little bit boring - and it felt a bit confined after having the whole city of Tokyo to wander. So after a quick glance at the map, the Pizza Shop in Sector five it was. He'd try the Ramen Shop another day. It had been a while since he ate at a restaurant anyways.]

[Needless to say, the dome was a bit... different looking when Fuuma exited than when he entered. The fog, the ... was it really ash falling? Not to mention the annoying hole in the road that made him go the long way back. He probably could have jumped over it, or just teleported, but now he was curious as to what was going on. So walking it was. That was of course when a pack of raptors came charging at him through the mist, with one lunging straight for him. It was surprising, but all it took was putting a hand out in front of him to send it flying back with telepathy, bowling over the other raptors as it went. The angry, shrill noises of the lizards getting back to their feet can probably be heard in the background when he speaks.]

Do monsters commonly attack people here? It wasn't mentioned in the welcome pamphlet.

[He doesn't sound irritated, or worried at all. More amused, in fact. Fuuma finally had a good excuse to see how much of his power he'd gotten back. If anyone else in the sector wanted an easy way back to the shelter, or elsewhere, the raptor being sent flying into a wall and splattering upon impact is a clue who might be able to help.]

[It seems the raptors aren't the only monsters out tonight.]

[Rose has come across an Agoraphobia, but she doesn't seem too concerned. Casually, she pulls out her knitting needles and yarn, winding the yarn around the needles.]

[The monster leaps at her, and she jumps, landing on its back-analogue. It tries to smack her, but she winds the yarn around the arm lightning-fast. The monster roars, and she sticks her knitting needles into its eyes, making it scream and flail around. ... Into a wall. She winces and tries to regain her footing, but it bucks her off.]

[... And it still has her knitting needles, which are her only weapons. She backs up and turns, running, turning on the audio.]

There's a large monster in sector three. I would appreciate some assist -

[And she trips over some rubble and goes sprawling.]

Oh fuck -

[There's the sound of her scrambling to her feet - and then getting tripped again by the monster.]

[Help!]

Hei/Li Shenshung
[Silently, Hei attacks, dashing in with Tear's knife in one hand and his refurbished blade in the other, slashing at scale and sinew and trying to push as many raptors into the pits littering the street. His reflexes are strained to the max as he dodged yet another attack, another slash of a claw at his throat.

No matter how often he winnowed down the enemies number, they kept coming at him. Escaping to the roof had failed as the raptors had followed, but it had given him enough time to done his mask and coat to give him the anonymity he needed to use all the weapons at his disposal. But time was against him as each repeated use of his contract wore him down. It was only sheer will that kept Hei going, the calm detached logic of the assassin that kept him focused.

Another slam of his fist into the throat of a raptor ignited a blue glow around him as he used electrical pulses to short circuit its heart, a glow that lit the whole battle scene in an eerie glow. One more down, so many left to go. Hei kept moving.]

❰❰ Envy ❱❱
[The best thing about Envy? Its ability to transform. Oh it has already noticed that the more often it uses a form, the longer the homunculus can maintain it. And tonight? It's glorious. With the monsters going to and fro, Envy can simply blend right in with the packs. That's exactly what it had done last time and this time is hardly any different.

So, Marina. Ready to take a chance encounter?]

Roxas
[Roxas is sitting on top of a low roof, watching the ebb and flow of monsters with Oathkeeper resting against his shoulder. He's ready and willing to drop down and help other people fight, but he's keeping out of the way. Last time, nothing stopped them. He can't imagine this time will be any different, so the only point in fighting them is to help people.

[Or for fun, but he's not in a bad mood enough to want to beat on something. And Axel would probably yell at him.

[...although thinking of last time, Kairi panicked about everyone. If she's still asleep now, there's no harm contacting her. And if she's awake, then she'd probably appreciate the contact, right?]

[voice / private to Kairi]

Hiling Care
[Hiling was still several blocks away from her house when a pack of Lizards picked up her scent and began trailing her. It was difficult to make out their shapes through the mist, but she wasn't about to take any chances. She took off running, but didn't get very far before her path was blocked by a gaping chasm she had very nearly fallen into. Her pursuers closing in on her, she turned and prepared to defend herself any way she could. She tried to stay calm, but when one of them leaped at her, claws and teeth bared, she screamed. Her eyes glowed golden as she called out with her Quantum Brainwaves.]
