[It's uncommon for Rei to speak up in this way, but she needs to know more about this other Adam. She's certainly not asking Naoya, though. So, this seems like the only way:]

What does the name Adam mean to you?

[Lain reads off in a somber monotone, still managing a surprising mixture of feelings in her passive recitation.]
Obsolescence is the state of being which occurs when an object, service or practice is no longer wanted, even though it may still be in good working order. Obsolescence frequently occurs because a replacement has become available that is superior in one or more aspects.
[She sighs, distressed.]

But It sounds like a lot of people would have wanted her to stay. Only the engineers were able to decide she wasn't good enough anymore.

When I asked my father to replace my old Navi, my first Children's Navi, I asked him to set it up right away. My old one wasn't broken. I just needed something a little more advanced. I didn't really think, when it got boxed up and put out on the curb, but I realize I never used it so much to consider it an old friend.
Technical Obsolecense may occur when a new product or technology supersedes the old, and it becomes preferred to utilize the new technology in place of the old. Historical examples of superseding technologies causing obsolescence include CD-ROM over floppy disk which allowed for greater storage capacity and speed. DVD over VHS which allowed for greater quality and multimedia functions, or the telephone over the telegraph which allowed for audio transmission instead of coded electrical signals. On a smaller scale, particular products may become obsolete due to replacement by a newer version of the product. Many products in the computer industry become obsolete in this manner; for example, Central Processing Units frequently become obsolete in favor of newer, faster units.
Too many errors with emotional functions.

I wonder if she knew, if Sentience knew she wasn't wanted anymore...did she want to be replaced? When an advanced software, like an AI, that is designed with feeling and to think something like humanity, no longer begins to function with the logic of a machine, which is expected to be logically sound and efficient...

Then in choosing Acumen, they have chosen a more advanced set of emotional patterns. They have engineered something more State of the Art, which is very practical. Maybe all human-like emotion will become obsolete, in favor of a more capable system. Evolution. Unless humanity upgrades too, becomes connected...

And Protocol 7 will be replaced by something new too, one day....someday, maybe I'll go to the place she has gone. Or maybe I already am there.

Akito/Agito/Lind Wanijima
[The fact Sentience is gone worries him a lot...but he can't really do much about it. He hasn't heard from Tsuna for awhile though...that also worries him. At first he sets up a private channel to the other, but after awhile...no reply. Tsuna wouldn't leave him hanging like that...Akito's sure of it.

So he flicks the channel to public]

Um...has anyone seen Tsuna-kun? I haven't heard from him in awhile... [And he's not replying now...]

Um........[Silent for a bit. Rin would like to get to talk to people more, but tries not to be bothersome or awkward, even if most people don't know fully about her.]

I would.........Like to get a pet. Something unique, but will get along fine with a cat. Any ideas? [A playmate for Miku wouldn't hurt]

[To hear that Sora is gone is disappointing. No, it's actually made Teito pretty depressed. Sora had been one of his first friends here, along with Lenalee. He's wandered away from the shelter, not really caring about this new AI warden.

Whatever this AI thing is...

So instead he's just in the park. Looking up at the top of the dome. There's a book resting to the left of him. Teito just can't be bothered to finish it, though he's finding that he likes some of these non-fiction ones. When something weighs heavily on his mind, he can't help but shut down a bit. Truly he knows that he shouldn't dwell on it, but...

Maybe taking a break isn't so bad, right?

Conrad, it has been awhile. I was wondering if I might be able to trouble you for a moment of your time.

Lacus Clyne
[The park is quickly becoming one of Lacus' favorite spots. Not only does she appreciate the fresh air and lovely scenery, but there's always plenty of people around.]

[Today she has positioned herself in the grass near the memorial gardens, lying on her stomach and propped up on her elbows with a large piece of poster board spread out in front of her. Using a protractor and a ruler, she makes careful measures, tapping at her lip with a pencil before finally making a mark. Beside her, an open astronomy text.]

[Seeming to come to a decision, she flips on the video function on her communicator and greets Marina with a friendly smile.]

Hello, everyone. I hope you're all enjoying having the stars out at night!

I was going to design some new templates for the star projector, and I was curious what everyone might like to see in the sky. If any of you would want to see the stars from your home world, for example, rather than Earth's skyline all of the time.

Well I'm certainly feeling a bit lethargic today! I think maybe you wore me out a bit last night, Johnny.~

[Totally not true at all, and doesn't care how that sounds.]

Hey, Partner. Are you free yet or not. I'm getting tired of waiting. It'd be sad if Minamimoto was released in a shorter time than you were. Unless you were being a naughty boy! Is there something I should know about?

Oh! Yuuki. We're supposed to meet today. Is there a time that's good for you?

[Cornelia is somewhere near the athletic compound practicing her aim with her gun sword. There are several different target posts in front of her of varying distances that she has set up to serve as her own shooting range. While it would appear that she is lost in deep concentration, or perhaps it's just that she's still pissed off about her fail!date, she looks even more tense and unapproachable than usual. But IF there is something bothering her, it doesn't affect her aim. It's clear that she is very skilled with a gun.]

[ooc: My attempt at placing Corni in a situation where she 'might' have to be social. Please feel free to come and talk to her if you like guns, big breasts, or having a deadly weapon pointed in your character's face. XD

Note: Argh--sorry to those who already tagged this before I had to delete it. It's totally cool if you don't have time to tag again, but I wanted to say thanks for the first attempt~♥]

I'm sorry, really, I'm so sorry for...well, I wasn't avoiding it. Just...there were things I had to do and I wanted a chance to see the Asylum first and...

Neil Dylandy / Lockon Stratos (I)
[Lockon and Haro were out and about, fetching various items to make their small house a little more like home, and less like a slightly more furnished version of a Shelter cell room. After thinking about leaving the underground halls almost nonstop for days, now that he was shopping, he couldn't think of what he needed, or where to get it.]

[voice | open]
Would anyone have any idea where our warden might keep the grills? I heard there was fishing, and it'd be a shame to just have to bake it. [After a pause.] Maybe some power tools, too...

[voice | filtered to the Meisters]
I found that new place I mentioned pretty fast. [He gave up directions to his small abode in Sector 4.] Not a lot of room for guests, though don't let that stop you from coming over.

[voice | private to Lacus Clyne]
[Lockon didn't doubt for a moment that she would be unable to find him if he just hid in his room for the day, but he wasn't the kind of man to go back on his promises in the first place...] Lacus, I've picked up some items, and started cleaning. [He gave up the directions to the house.] If you still want to help, you can come by at any time.

[voice | private to Sakura Kinomoto]
Sakura, did you still want to come over today? I'd like to hear some of the music you were talking about, if you had any. I even picked up a small stereo at the store.

(( ooc: Please feel free to catch Lockon as he's out and about! His home is in Sector 4, so there will be plenty of crossing between there and the various stores as he stocks up. <3 Just title your posts with where, and I'll run with it! ))

Tieria Erde
[It's late morning... later than when Tieria would normally be coming out into the open. He'd had a few discussions that morning, but hadn't done much. They'd worked for a while on Sentience with no avail for a long time, and Tieria had, once on his own, tried again to contact the AI through his quantum brainwaves. Again, very little success on the matter. Instead, he found he was more tired than usual the following morning, much to his annoyance in the matter. Now that he wasn't feeling it as much, he had wandered out to look around the dome a bit more. He found the Butterfly Pavilion. It was quiet there, so he sat down on a bench and watched the delicate creatures fluttering about.]
