[ "Meet me at the hospital." ranks extremely low on the list of things you want to hear late at night, and needless to say Reid doesn't waste any time in getting over there. Luckily he got enough information out of Kitty to know that she's okay, and the rest is easily puzzled together from paying attention to the network. The memorial garden. Tyki. Cross.

Shots fired.

It's not difficult at all to guess why she's there, and on the brisk walk to Sector 1 Reid had more than enough time to think and try to prepare for what's ahead. This, so close to Allen's disappearence..? It doesn't take a profiler to figure out the kind of stress that puts on a person. Enough for him to worry.]

[She's inside the hospital waiting room, pacing back and forth. She already got robot scolded once for trying to smoke. She doesn't like waiting. She likes it less without a cigarette. They took Tyki back to a private room to work on him. She decided not to push the issue. Her standing there wasn't going to help anything. Her pacing here isn't either, but that's what you do, right?

Yeah, that's just standard procedure for when the man you have a sex license with gets shot in everything vital plus a few non essentials like wrists.

Her jaw sits tightly and her body is tense. The expression looks more like annoyance than concern or sorrow. Annoyance is easier. And she's actually a few steps past it into, "if he wakes up I'm going to shoot him again for being an idiot."

She's a bit of a mess for having not been gone long. She was close by when Tyki was shot. He was on the ground, so the blood splatter is thickest on her jeans as it travels up to her white t-shirt, smeared in places where her arm has rubbed against it before it dried. She's already been to the restroom to wash off her arms.]

[Hospital waiting rooms are not great places to be in and despite not having all that many warm feelings for Tyki, Reid can't help but tense even further the moment he steps into the building. He finds his way to the waiting room with relative ease, steps quickening some as he spots her.]

Kitty! [And then he gets a good look at her and despite the years spent on crime scenes it feels like his heart stops for just a bit. He swallows, quickly pulling himself back together. It's okay. She's okay. But just to be on the safe side...]

Are you alright..?

	[She turns at the sound of Reid's voice even more than the fact it's her name being said. It's not a great way for him to see her, but she can't completely care right now. She wanted him to be here. [Another nod. Most people wouldn't have survived that, but Tyki isn't most people and Reid wouldn't be surprised at all if he pulled through. What is surprising though is the slight sense of relief he's getting at that thought. As much as he dislikes the bastard, it's better if Tyki sticks around.]

Come on. Let's step outside for a while. Get some air. [Don't think he doesn't notice how badly you need that cigarette.]

[He takes hers easily, giving it a little squeeze and perhaps he wanted to do just this thing and more ever since he arrived. It's hard to tell if that's what Kitty would want, hard as nails as she is and so he gives it some time. Hugs will be had, at some point. That's a given.

Despite not really wanting to ask, he does it anyway. Occupational habit.]

[She has a hard time knowing what she wants too, but even as she moves them through the outer wall she doesn't let go once they are on the other side.]

His wrists were blown out and there was a side wound. Cross was hunched down over him with a boot on his chest. Tyki couldn't breathe. [Clocks would be very strange if they included that kind of "when." This leaves three other shots, but it makes a little more sense when you know they were fired simultaneously somehow.]

[He makes a noise. That's really the best response he's got right now, coupled with a gentle squeeze over her shoulders. It's no surprise that Tyki continued to provoke his attacker, just like it's no surprise that Kitty managed to talk Cross down. It's also not very hard to guess how this must make her feel right about now — they had similar situations back home and that usually didn't involve someone you knew.

In the end, he settles for a comforting cliché. Softly. What else can you say?]
