when he leans away, she feels her eyes sting with mist under her mask. she hasn't really felt close to anyone since her kidnapping. she's been lonely, sure. but she's glad that she felt bad enough for Cain in hearing what she'd heard and also in the fact that she had hurt him, and so subsequently turned around and made herself change her perspective.
