[The 160th Day]
Good morning, everyone. Today is the 160th day of the third generation of this facility, and -- as many of you are probably aware, there were some upsetting incidents last night.

[Today there's no video post from Sentience; just voice. It might sound a little downcast to you.]

My sensors detected nothing awry until the moment of the video, or else it certainly would have been stopped. I deeply apologize to everyone for allowing something like that to happen, but... I suppose it was optimistic of me to think it wouldn't.

Allow me at least to reassure you all that no one was permanently injured or worse. The guilty parties are in custody, and I will think on the punishments for them, but if anyone would like to register opinions, questions, or complaints, then... I will hear them at the kiosk.

...This is a rather depressing way to start the day, so I have decided to make it warm and sunny today! There should be no need for jackets or coats out in the dome today.

[What is she even supposed to say here? She doesn't fully understand why she did it. How is she supposed to explain it? And to Sentience? Which path gets her less screwed? Without knowing she might as well be...honest.]

I'd just seen the recording of Cross, and I knew who was responsible. I knew the situation was being handled. I decided I needed to burn a bridge. One part literal, one part metaphorical. I made sure everyone was out first and that there was a way of protecting everything around it.

	You abused the alcohol, so... logically, restricting your access to it in the future would be only appropriate. [it doesn't sound confident, more defeated; but it doesn't have a lot of options. her actions were reasonably well-thought-out and she took as much care as she could not to hurt anyone. it was just... very calculatedly hurtful. how can it punish that?] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Lots of people use the club. If I can't get in I can't help someone if they're in danger.

[She doesn't say this because of the Defense Force. She doesn't know her future with them either and she's far from the only one, but she could be the closest or the most suitable. It's hypothetical, but it worries her. It worries her more than the thought of never drinking again which is definitely unappealing, but she'd survive it.]
