[Ryoji's still a little buzzed from the sangria, but his expression falls a bit when he hears the voice. It's a few minutes sitting in the dark, under a canopy of fireflies and the fake sky, before he gathers himself up from the beach and heads back toward the more urban areas.

These people - they knew, and it wasn't fair, it's still not fair. He never told them. They weren't his friends. Mitsuru-senpai he didn't mind - had never minded. She had been so kind to him without any reason to be. Sanada-senpai, Yukari-san as well.

Even the people in his dream, Euphemia and Orihime. With them, he has a choice.

With people like Sam and Castiel -
