[She's a little absent-minded this morning - the events of the night before are still whirling through her thoughts, causing little thrills of excitement and nervousness which seem to wipe her mind clean the moment they hit. She manages to get up on time and get ready for her shift well enough, but after putting together her lunch, she leaves the little box on the counter and wanders out the door.

Once she arrives, she takes a moment to make a cup of tea before she begins what she hopes will be a somewhat interesting shift; not that she wants anyone to fight or get hurt, but she needs something to draw her out of her thoughts. She also looks quite different from most days: she's unusually dressed up for a simple shift, and very oddly for her, her hair is loose around her shoulders and brushed to a shine. She's even got a touch of gloss on her lips, although that's as far as she dared go with makeup.

Anyone who comes into HQ will find her dipping a teabag in and out of a mug, staring off into the distance.]

Oh my God, Jeanne, I'm so sorry. I've been... well, there's no excuse, really, I've just been distracted. And I totally forgot about finding your friend.

	Rinoa... no, I don't think I have. [She frowns at that.] Yeah, Midori had the same thing happen to her. She didn't even remember Orihime when she came back, and they were best friends. It's so creepy. Where do they go? What happens to them?

[She shivers a little, taking a sip of tea to shake it off, then rolls her chair around to the side of the desk so that she can see both Jeanne and the computer at the same time.]

You mean because they've seen so many people come and go? It'd get pretty hard to let yourself get close to anyone, with people disappearing all the time...

	You're right about that. It'd have to be a professional, and someone who everyone could trust... and I can't really think of anyone who's ever mentioned experience with that sort of stuff. The academy doesn't even have a guidance counselor or anything like it... (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	It's still not a bad idea, though. I mean, yeah, we'd need a professional... but all kinds of people end up here, so it could happen one day. And besides, who'd think a prison would have a welcoming committee, or even a school? [The reaction surprises her a little, but she's relieved that someone's willing to offer her advice. If they're a little overeager about it, she can live with that.]

Well... I was worried about being too affectionate, 'cause he's... not shy, really, but uncomfortable with that kinda thing. But he let me hold his hand while we were walking home yesterday, and he even - [Her voice catches at the memory, requiring her to clear her throat and start again.] - kissed my cheek in public. So I guess that's not as big of a problem as I thought. I just don't want to get to the point where I'm embarrassing him.

And she's even... jealous, a bit. She hasn't had any luck here in the prison for a myriad of reasons. Jeanne taps her chin with a finger. ] Hmm... it sounds like you have to play it slow. I'm not used to that, personally! But... every man has their own boundaries. Some are smooth and want you to be the one to catch their eye. Others are happy if you just so much as look their way.

--if I can ask, what's his name? It'll be easier if I don't just say "him" or "his" or "that boy" the whole time.
