[ Action ]
[ In the late afternoon, and stretching on until evening, the arcade has been taken over! Decorations have been hung, with a few tables set up with a pair of huge birthday cakes, other finger-foods, and drinks. Odds are, if you're close to Neil, you received an invitation to this party -- even if he has to come and drag you there, himself! (It would include friends of Lyle but, well, he kind of didn't talk to his brother about this. Whoops!)

For else that stops by, well... it will be hard to miss the ruckus, especially once guests arrive. Above the entryway to the bowling lanes a banner that simply reads:

♣ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! ♣

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out why it's there, or who it's for, so come on in~ ]

[ Neil groaned; not because it was Tieria, but because this scene was just one more thing that was sucking all the fun out of tonight's festivities and--

Well, wouldn't you be irked if someone was crashing your birthday party? ] You know, Tieria... I could ask you the same thing. [ The other Meister always seemed to be first on the scene with his questions, and knew the most. Time to tap into that wealth of knowledge. ] Hiling threatened Allelujah with her weapon, and he... snapped, I guess, is the best word for it. [ His expression darkened. ]

[Snapped... he'd heard... things about Allelujah turning a little strange over the past couple of years, but he'd never actually seen it or interacted with him during those episodes, so he didn't mention it.

Hiling, though... He knew what she was doing. In stark contrast to his uncertainty from earlier, he was all business now.]

You remember how Hiling came after me in the hospital when I woke up? [Neil should. Lyle had been knocked out trying to pry her off Tieria and Lacus had been the one to find them afterwards.] She was demanding to know what happened. The only way I could get her to leave was to tell her...

Allelujah was... is... [He shook his head. Stupid time differences.] He killed her. But, not yet for him. As far as I can tell, he hasn't even been in the HRL prison, yet. [Which made him from even earlier than the last time he was in Marina.]

Well, shit. [ That's the first thing that came to mind. Though his first response is to try and blame Tieria for leaving him out of the loop again... he can't do that. Alle didn't show up until today, and there was no time to brief him with enough information to prevent this scene from happening.

Neil sighed. ] That little brat is just-- [ He casts a look over his shoulder, but Hiling has already been escorted out. Neil sneered for a moment, but it disappeared just as quickly as he looked back to Tieria. ]

About that prison. I remember when Allelujah was here last time, he was restrained. Heavier than what Acumen puts on other inmates who arrive. Do you know anything about that?

Not much. Allelujah hadn't wanted to talk about it. [He frowned.] I did try to access the HRL's records on his incarceration, but they kept it very hushed and off the record. I do know they considered him extremely dangerous for some reason, but they were puzzled that he had not exhibited the level of violence they had been expecting when they had decided to restrain him. Apparently, he had turned extremely violent that one time they'd been able to capture Kyrios.

[ He looked over his shoulder, this time concerned at having Alle or Cain overhear. Neil stepped aside, gesturing Tieria to follow him over so he could lower his voice a bit. ] I've heard him say some things that seemed a little... off, before. Over the open channels.

Hm. That explains the jacket and muzzle. [ Frowning a bit, as he thought things over. ] What about records from Veda? You would have seen those, right? [ If he understood what happened to Tieria properly, with losing his body and all. ]

[Tieria nodded.] A lot happens in battle. [Which had been his explanation to himself at the time.]

Mn... [He looked thoughtful then. Records in VEDA...] There might have been something. He had mentioned to Miss Sumeragi before the mission to the HRL colony that he was a subject at their Super Human Institute... [Okay, yes... he used to spy, okay?] I was only able to access the initial scouting reports from Grave Violento on our profiles recently. He mentioned something about an occasional shift in Allelujah...

[He also mentioned a few things about you, Neil, but Tieria wouldn't get into that now.]

Grave Violento... [ Now there was a man he had not thought of in quite some time. Neil sighed. Even on his best days, he can't escape parts of his past; his home. ]

Alright. Now what? [ He crossed his arms, quite uncomfortable with this whole situation. ] How do we keep this from happening again if someone antagonizes him when he's off his restraints? If he hadn't been held back, who knows what would've happened to Hiling. [ Who knows what would happen to someone else. He doesn't want to think about Allelujah hurting innocent civilians - he couldn't, right? that went against everything they stood for - but the thought was there. ]

[And, with the weird new memories he got after the hacking attempt, Tieria learned something very interesting about Grave and his partner that had been around during the testing and training, Hixar Fermi. He wondered if he should tell Neil sometime...

I really don't know. It seemed to happen less often after we rescued him from the prison, but then... [And he frowned here.] ...it started back up again. Almost like something had started triggering it again. [He shook his head slightly. If he had really thought about it and studied their battle data, he might have been able to see what, but he didn't have access to that here.]

Still, the only times I've ever observed it were during times when Allelujah was in danger. Something must have happened that made Allelujah see Hiling as a dire threat, or he wouldn't have attacked her at all.

[If anything, Allelujah was the most gentle out of all of them.]

Funny that "trigger" should be the word for it. [ Another sidelong glance, toward that door, then back to Tieria, his voice low. ] The idiot pulled a gun on him. An empty gun, but still. Any one of us would have tried to defend ourselves.

Of course, that's not how she's spinning it. [ Even before she left she was harping about how Alle attacked HER. What a joke. He doesn't even know what kind of a threat she was back home, right? He can't have been briefed yet, either. ] We'll need to tell him what the situation here is, with who all else is present from home.

[Was there a better word? Tieria looked over towards the door as well, a rather concerned look on his face.] There's no way he would have known it was empty if she was using it to threaten him.

[He nodded then, biting his lip a little.] Yes. I had wanted to, but he only arrived today. [Bad timing, Hiling... or maybe, good timing for her. Either way, this made things a lot more complicated for CB.]

But he just concedes the point. The man doesn't have to vocalize his guilt to live with it. ] You're right. Still. I guess this is all over with, now... I might as well go pass on the news to the few people who didn't hear that broadcast.
