[ Action ]
[ In the late afternoon, and stretching on until evening, the arcade has been taken over! Decorations have been hung, with a few tables set up with a pair of huge birthday cakes, other finger-foods, and drinks. Odds are, if you're close to Neil, you received an invitation to this party -- even if he has to come and drag you there, himself! (It would include friends of Lyle but, well, he kind of didn't talk to his brother about this. Whoops!)

For else that stops by, well... it will be hard to miss the ruckus, especially once guests arrive. Above the entryway to the bowling lanes a banner that simply reads:

♣ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! ♣

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out why it's there, or who it's for, so come on in~ ]

I think we can swing that. [ 'We', since Neil isn't going anywhere. As a matter of fact, he crouches to pick up that pistol -- slowly, with his hands where Cain can see the clip being ejected before he even has it but an inch off the ground.

...then he sighs. ] You know, for someone being trusted with a weapon-- [ He holds the clip up for Cain to look right down into it. Even if he wasn't familiar with the technology of their era, it would be obvious to see the slim metal container was hollow and empty. ] --she's not too responsible about it.

[ It would be funny if it wasn't also stupid. Neil turns it over in his hand after flicking the safety on, and reaches it over to Cain. ]

[He blinked, trying to focus, remembering that he had been asked a question.]

[ Motioning in toward the door to the rest of the party. ] Should I ask someone inside? We have our pick at the party. Kitty, Yuuki, Conrad... [ He won't mention Lacus or Tieria for obvious reasons, but his point should be made with one sidelong glance to Hiling that she chose her venue poorly. A couple of more seconds, and it might have been lights out for her -- not that he would have minded.

Poor Alle, though. Defending himself even though she wasn't even a credible threat. ]

Okay.

[She nods to Cain and turns her head to blankly glance back at Neil. It doesn't really matter to her who takes her there. She could get there by herself just fine, but if it makes them feel better, she'll go along with it. Refusing to cooperate would only land her in more trouble. Though she will try to get out of as much as she can, whatever happens will hopefully be worth it to see how Allelujah is dealt with.]

Well, I was told I had been here before, so there are some people here who recognize me that I don't know. She said we met the last time I was here, and asked if we could go someplace quieter.

I followed, because the party was starting to get a bit noisy, so I thought it was reasonable. We came in here, she shut the door, and pushed me to the couch. She pulled the gun on me, grabbed me by the hair, and then...

[This was the awkward part. How to put this...]

Hallelujah took over.

	... Yes. He's... another personality. It's a long story, but to put it simply he takes over when we're in danger. He fought her, and grabbed her wrist and the gun. 	The standard sorts of insults? [There is a rhyme and reason to his questioning, even if it is a little finicky. Since we have no outside witnesses and due to the nature of what happened, we're going to have to open an investigation about the incident. If Hiling is found guilty, she'll have her status as a member of the Defense Force stripped, her gun permanently confiscated, and a shiny new place on the watch list. [Cain pats Hiling's gun in his greatcoat's pocket.] If you're found guilty, you'll just get the watch list bit. Nothing crippling to your existence here, but it does mean we keep a good eye on you under certain circumstances.

In the meantime, I am remaining a completely neutral party until I've spoken with Hiling and conducted my investigation. [-also.] I would like to speak with "Hallelujah" at a later point, if he'll cooperate.
