So there is a costume party tonight. So I guess it would be Halloween or whatever counts as an equivalent around here. If anyone is interested, I'll probably end up making barnbrack for a little taste of home. Can't have Halloween without it.

[Other than this, Lyle is sitting on the bench for a while with Frederick and his "cigarette" before he heads off to the grocery to get what he needs to make the barnbrack]

[ Subaru sounds rather excited, but it has nothing to do with a new ice cream place opening up, or getting new skates. ] She's back! She's back!!

Oh! I was going to have her say something, but she's not ready yet. Eheh, I should have waited a bit, huh? Sorry about that. It'll be just a moment. [ She takes in a deep breath and lets it out in a happy sigh. ] Some of you already knew her, but I just wanted to say that I've got my partner back after all this time in the new dome without her. I can't even tell you how happy I am right now. [ Though one can probably tell from her voice and the fact she's going on about a mile a minute. ] While I'm waiting — who's all going to the party tonight? I was about to check out the costumes, but I'm not sure what to pick.

Kohran, are you free later? What about Jane? PM? Anyone, really! Trying on costumes can be just as fun as the party itself, so I won't mind the company. I'm— [ It's here that a voice interrupts her; female, uniquely artificial, but quite alive with its awkward, formal inflection. ] «Readiness completed.»

[ She gasps, her voice rising in pitch to match an elevated state of elation. ] There you are! Welcome back, partner. [ Subaru's pout is audible. ] I still can't believe that they did that...

[ Just as she announced, Subaru is spending the time hopping around various shops in Sector 4 to look for a costume to wear. Maybe a cowboy? Or a knight? Or a nurse? Whatever it is, Subaru is laughing and having a great old time trying on hats and gloves and putting costumes still on their hanger in front of her chest and checking herself out in the mirror.

...also, she appears to be talking to thin air. She has a lot of catching up to do with her friend, okay! Who isn't imaginary why would you think that? ]

[The Blood Shack has been redecorated for the evening. The lighting is red and the decor is very Moulin Rouge. The bar has had a facelift of sorts and in the spirit of a costume party is featuring 'candy' flavored shots such as Skittles, Sweet tarts, Caramel Apples, Nerds and Tootsie Rolls. All other 'normal' drinks are available at the bar as well as a selection of synthetic blood. The decor continues in the seating arrangements. The entire room, including the dance floor, stage and platform where Eric's throne sits is bathed in red light. Lording over the entire affair is Eric, dressed as a Viking king. Instead of the helm, he's got a crown made of gold foil and cardboard. His weapons are the plastic sort and he's opted to go bare chested rather than attempting to make any sort of chain mail. He has a faux polar bear throw across his shoulders and is wearing a long, blond wig as well as a fake beard.

[ It's late evening when the transmission starts, a velvety darkness competing with the warm light that spills out through the open door. Aidan is sitting in the greenhouse tonight. Maybe he got stuck out there after tending the plants. Maybe he needed some space, fresh air, distance. Comforts of home.

Whichever it is, it's clear that he's got a lot on his mind, features ever so often lit up by the cherry of a stolen cigarette. He doesn't smoke — not really — but tonight he does and those of you that've talked to him over the last few days might've seen this coming.]

I've been here... some 40 days now. Now, I know that ain't much of anythin' compared to most of you but after a while... it just kinda hits you, y'know? How long you've been here an'... how many people you've met. New ones every week. Some of 'em... heh, we lose a lot 'round here, don't we?

We should still remember 'em, but I'm wonderin' if we do. It ain't like we get to say goodbye or nothin', one day they're just... gone. And I've been thinkin'... no one really seems to talk about 'em once they're gone. Not for long anyway... and there's a lot. Every week... someone disappears.

I want to remember them. Simon and Nia. Nill and Haine. Yuri, Kanda... Ava, even though she dumped snow down my shirt. Yuta. Agito. Rapunzel. Nasuti, Reki, Kaylee... Lina. Th' people I never really got th' chance to know, like Gareki and Gemini and Kurama. Atsuro. Reki. Gamzee... Evy. That guy... what's his name. Atton. Road. Birdman. Yuuki... and Toph.

And Jane. [ He falls silent for a moment after that. That's a long list of names, but it always is. The difference here being...] Heh... back home, I was always th' one to leave.

You know, in all the commotion of yesterday, I rather forgot I had turned 279. Odd, isn't it, how you can forget something like that? I had thought... I would feel different on that realization, but I suppose we all expect that and it never really happens. Maybe that will happen at 280, a milestone of sorts.

What do you all usually do for your birthdays in your worlds? Any special customs?

Hi, everyone! I've been pretty quiet lately, but I've had my hands full with a few different projects, so please forgive me for that. [ Subaru is still quite enthusiastic, despite starting her broadcast with an apology. ]

I'm making this broadcast because I wanted to say that some of that work was in preparation for tomorrow's class. Those who are on the Defense Force already know about it — [ Because she would have stopped everyone she knew to be on the DF to see if they were interested! ] —but the Emergency Management seminars are open to everyone, and not just us. In fact, I encourage everyone to attend at least one session, even if you're new!

The whole point is to keep everyone safer and get ready in case any emergency situation arises. An accident at the beach, an injury while working with tools, a sudden fire or flood... things like that. [ Her expression calms a bit, because she wants to look reassuring. ] I'm not saying that bad things will happen, but I won't say it's out of the question. The domes — this one and the last — both had their share of incidents and I want to better prepare everyone for as many possibilities as I can think of.

[ She puts a hand to the back of her head. ] Eheh, I guess fire drills will be more difficult to arrange now... maybe I should organize them per sector...?

[ The purple-haired woman cut off her own train of thought and bowed her head. ] Thank you for listening. The class itself is tomorrow, so I hope to see a bunch of you there!

And he was doing this despite Nasuti's disappearance. It was something to focus on, and, even without her here to bounce ideas off of, he was determined to work this out.

After a little talk with Dave and the approval of the Warden , Jane has acquired a large book on the art of Ectobiology.

For effect, she reads aloud.]

"Ectobiology is a science that allows the cloning, breeding and genetic modification of an organism using appearification." I know this sounds really crazy and outlandish but while this has the base information, I'm sure there is more to be discovered by reading further into the book. Possibly even acquiring the materials to test this theory out.

Would anyone here be willing to study a little science with me?

It's raining. [The obvious weather report has been stated. You're welcome.] So, we can't really play today, but today would be too soon anyway. We need to get the rosters back up first. [Anyone know what he's talking about? Being clear wasn't really important, was it?]

But in a few days we should have a baseball game! [And then all those cheerleaders will have something to cheer at. Otherwise they might have to cheer at science class or something.]

[Considering the amount of Legos left, he has a long way to go. He pauses long enough to look at his half-finished plane, before tossing it over his shoulder and onto the ground.]

[ The woman's voice comes from off-camera. What can be seen is the side of her dark, tight pants patterned with red petals. Water drips down onto the sand as she wrings her her off-white gi top. ] I guess a "warm welcome" doesn't always mean a dry one.

[ She got an earful of her "crimes" as she swam to shore, so she's not as perturbed as she could be right now. Kanna will probably have some more questions once she is getting over the drowned rat feeling. ] Can anyone else hear me on this? What'll they think of, next? Ohgami? Sakura? Okay, hi. So, I'm loving this communications device. Very stylish. Great tech. I mean, no texting feature, but it's still some nice engineering. Also, this garden is beautiful. Really, top notch. The random, unopenable door is a good conversation piece.

Here's the thing though, I'm not actually a criminal, and this garden thing doesn't seem to have an elevator down to the very, very distant ground. So, can someone help a girl out?

[ The feed will start showing Sheryl Nome's playful and excited face. There was something else in her eyes too. And that is mischief. A lot of it. The person was shouting for her to get away from the ledge of the tallest building she could find.

Her initial purpose was to just look at the walls of their prison and admire the water. She had never seen so much water before. Not even at the Frontier, but now she found another fun reason to be up there.

Sheryl reconized Kohran's voice of course and leaned down over the ledge to look at her. Maybe she should feel guilty making her roomie so worried like that, unforunately as much as she really liked her roomate --- she was not immune to Sheryl's antics ]

Good day, Marina! I hope you're all getting settled from the move and, for those who have recently arrived, I hope you're doing alright.

I'm Kohran Li and I'm glad to announce that the Theater Workshops will be resuming their sessions! For new people, this takes place every odd-numbered day from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Amphitheater in Sector 4. We're looking into putting up a small production, so anyone interested in learning the basics of acting, stage and prop management and costume-making, come and join us!

You know, I'm not saying it's a bad thing that everyone's suddenly caught the exercise bug or whatever. Just that's it's way inconvenient when I go through all the trouble of getting up early in the morning to grab one of the gym treadmills, only to find they're already all taken.

[She blows a few stray hairs out of her face indignantly, before eventually just shrugging.]

I guess it's a good thing it's sunny out today. Any good jogging trails around here I should know about?

[If you happen to be a fellow jogger that morning, you might catch sight of the 14-year-old as she makes her way around the dome at anywhere from a leisure to brisk pace. Robin Jr. could be seen racing her at times, when he's not vying for additional attention or stopping to sniff at everything he sees.]

[Since he was going to teaching again, Lyle decided to distract himself today by going to the educational center to look around. Of course the haros were getting bored so he had brought them along as well. So Frederick and Thomas are with him to explore the new educational facility. Thomas is under one arm as Frederick rolls along ahead of him, stopping periodically to make sure Lyle is still behind him. Lyle isn't particularly looking for anything, just wanting to see how it is laid out]
