Aight, I got a pretty damn successful business back home and I’ve been thinkin’ of opening a storefront here. I like havin’ shit to do. Keeps me honest and all. But given the…nature…of the store in mind, I figured I should test the waters and I got a few questions.

[ aradia was thrilled to hear about today's museum exhibit. after all, she is the maid of time -- just because she's been plucked out of the practical application of her purpose doesn't mean that connection is gone.

wandering around the exhibit provides her with a sense of familiarity, one she hasn't felt wholly since arriving at marina. and so she can be found here for most of the day, a strange alien girl looking fondly at the same timepieces over and over. she'll happily engage anyone who approaches her. ]

[It's been a couple of days since Jane has addressed the network. The last couple of times for mundane things or something that didn't really matter in the long run. She's been doing what most prisoners here are doing, living. Not that she means to be a downer about their situation! She is even saying this with full knowledge and experience during the events of previous days. She is simply lamenting past days and more present ones. The force is hardly disturbed here.]

Do you ever feel like you're doing the same thing over and over?

[The question is direct, and to the point. She doesn't intend for this to be negative. She just wonders how many people feel like they are stuck in a routine. Jane has tried lots of things to remedy this! Teaching a class, holding dinners, learning about ectobiology.]

Let me back that up by saying this isn't negative! I just wish to know if there are others who feel stuck sometimes? [Even with the monsters, even with the morning announcements! Jane can't help but feel bored sometimes.]

Suggestions on breaking a routine would also be appropriate right now I suppose!

Greetings fellows! My apologies for being less than talkative for the past couple of days. I was actually working on a little something. But nevermind that for now! Have either of you two seen Roxy? I don't recall seeing her this morning.

[Euphie's voice is soft and she omits the video this time, opting only for sound, which she very rarely does.]

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help in the other prison. I'm extremely sorry for the the things I said and did. I'm especially sorry to those I hurt and scared. I'm not feeling any of those urges anymore since we returned. I hope I never do again.

[She pauses, wanting to say more. Wanting to put it right. But what can she say? She called for the deaths of innocent people. She considers offering to leave the school to someone else's care, but she also doesn't want to burden anyone. In the end, there's not much more to say. She isn't looking for sympathy. She just wants people to know they're safe.] Thank you for your time.

[Around one in the afternoon, Jane is back home and finishing her tidying. A lot of things have been on her mind recently, and she thinks it may be about time for her to bring these things up to Roxy. There was really no reason to dance around this any longer.

She tucks away a few books and stands in the hallway.]

[Jane may or may not have actually gone out and gotten that dress. She thinks it's rather nifty. She also may or may not be wearing it. Don't you judge her.]

This stuff is sort of cute, I'm impressed this jail actually has something suitable to wear now. [Not the point of this video.] So I have been thinking. Calliope will find that she was left a set of earrings and one of the dresses, Caliborn will find that he has been left a pair of novelty FISH SANDALS! Also left was a small plate of cookies, she didn't think Caliborn would eat them anyways. Each of their respective things were labeled with UU or uu.]

[The first thing that registers is that this is definitely not where she fell asleep. She's been to the beach, sure, but there's no way in hell she'd sleep there. Then there's the part of her that can't remember falling asleep at all, and for a moment she absolutely swears that this place is just fucking with her...until she sees her reflection in the water. Those are definitely freaky white eyes. Fucking perfect.

Under ordinary circumstances, she'd be pissed. These particular circumstances, though, and the killer headache she has, she's absolutely livid.]

[Calliope hadn't originally had any plans for the day, other than to keep up her habit of laying and avoiding others. But that was before she heard the rule-breaking announcement. How embarrassing! Also, kind of confusing?]

[Still, she feels very strongly compelled to do something about it--more than just calling Roxy to talk to her. Besides, she's overdue on meeting some friends in person. After donning her hoodie and tugging it down as far as she can, she sets out.]

[Dirk told her not to go there, but she decides to say bollocks to it: there will be a knock on the alpha kids' apartment door, and a be-hoodied alien girl laden with sweets waiting on the other side with a nervous smile, waiting (hoping) to be let in. There is a bag in each hand, and her pockets are similarly stuffed to almost overflowing with various wrapped candies.]

[Earlier in the dawn of day 210, Jane had been reunited with (1) Roxy Lalonde. As promised she is going to be taking Roxy home to reunite with her fellow housemates. After a good tearful reunion and a scare with some dickbag Caliborn, she immediately takes Roxy back to the house.

When she opens the door, she calls out for Dirk and Jake.]

Guys? I'm home. I have Roxy with me.

[ The camera points at various things, and eventually comes to settle on Roxy's face. ]

Ahemhmhmm. [ Clearing her throat. ] I'm hella hung over, have no clue where I am, apparently in jail, and more importantly I'm hankering for a martini. First order of business: where can I get a drink?

Secondly, someone fill a girl in on the punch line. There's no way this isn't some sort of big, fat joke. Prison, underwater, that shit is so un-cash it's in the negative.

Wardens, you've picked some shitty jokes and the wrong prankee. You're computers and I just so happen to be the hottest hacker bitch on the block. I'll stage my revenge when you least expect it: expect to be signed up for all sorts of shitty mailing lists.

[Suddenly there is a voice breaking the silence—or not silence as the case may be—above you, and if you're wearing your communicator, you'll hear it in your ear too. It happens at the beginning of every day here and yet it's so strange it could be something out of a movie... dun dun dun!]

[For her roommates she will be in the house for part of the day, or outside tending to the things she likes to do outside. Either one.

For anyone else that may unsuspectingly run into Jane Crocker this fine day, she is running around town or has just taught her cooking class. Maybe this is happening in cooking class? Whatever the particular person in question is doing while Jane is near.

She heard the announcement earlier in the day, and the absolute look of dread the pulled across her face. Roxy was gone only two days and she was going to be planting her lips on other people if she got caught. SIGH.]

[Euphie woke up to an assault and injury charge this morning. She was only expecting one of them. Luckily, she didn't have to wake up in the hospital. She was there only briefly to have her wrist put into a splint for the sprain she earned in Sector 6 when she fell.

The injury isn't going to slow her down though. She has things to do at the educational center today, food to pick up, and she might be in sector four where she lives as well not to mention all points in between. Well, all points except Sector 6. She might just avoid that one for awhile.

So, why are you still reading this instead of getting trapped in a shrinking forcefield with her?]

I've been convicted of a murder that I didn't commit. And I literally mean an actual murder I didn't commit -- it's not something back home that I'm just too chickenshit to fess up to.

And the thing is, Veridical stuck this D/s collar on me, so at first I thought it was just making up some excuse to avoid admitting it was jealous that I'm already in a relationship. But then it turned out I'm not the only one being punished.

So who all out there has to deal with this bullshit today?

So my punishment for skipping group therapy on day one hundred ninety six was to write a brochure stating why my actions were wrong and unacceptable. Anywhere around the prison now you may pick up one of these brochures and give it a read. There are mass quantities placed in the Post Office just in case other places are running out.

[Anyone who picks up a copy will discover that Jane indeed made a brochure. But our of her resentment, and anger towards the good warden Veridical she has made some snide and snarky remarks inside. She will not apologize, and she is certainly NOT sorry for the things she wrote. No worry, it does stick to the theme of "Why skipping Group Therapy is Unacceptable".]

Today, the museum will be featuring torture devices*. Sadly, there will be no gift shop open for this particular exhibit. Do use discretion if you have a weaker constitution or fancy yourself innocent.

One of the food carts in sector 0 will also be featuring pizelles.

I confess, I'm a little at sea when it comes to the reasoning behind this, uh, holiday? But it looks remarkably entertaining, and I'm not one to pass up on a bit of harmless tomfoolery.

[Jake is laying on his front on the couch, a stack of new interesting pizzas on the coffee table along with a stack of movies for Dirk's perusal. His legs are in the air, swinging as he reads a knock-off comic book while waiting for Dirk to show up to their date.]

So I've been informed that I am allowed to teach a class. On days ending on zero and five, I am happy to announce that I am going to be teaching a cooking course. On days ending in zero I will teach how to make things like breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On days ending in five, I will be teaching pastries and cakes, and possibly other things.

Tomorrow is a day ending in five, so please feel free to join me at eleven in the morning and bring your sweet tooth with you to the Educational Facility, in the first Kitchen Lab.
